Chapter seventy-two( It has always been you)

"Ouch!....." I annoyingly growled. I have been banging my head for days now to get her out of my mind, I have tried to stop thinking about her to the extent that I have used a lot of distractions but no matter how much I try or whatever I do she always crept her way into my head flooding my thinking and reasoning.

My sudden behavior scares the shit out of me, I have never fancied her but why is it that it was only her image that was on my mind. My actions yesterday still baffle me, why on earth do I have to growl at Nengi? I feel possessive especially since she suggested the rejection, Nengi is the type of girl that I would choose if I was allowed to select my mate. She is calm, calculating, and too nice. She always knows when to approach me, mostly when I am troubled.

My anger still boils known the that Mira still hasn't rejected that stupid brother of mine Derrick. Does she feel anything for him?

"No way…." I grumbled with doubt. She shouldn't be attracted to that smug and I felt fucking disappointed in Derrick for not trying to let go of that ugly thing. Derrick allowed that wench to come in between us and eradicated what we have been working for since birth, she jeopardized our bond and the worst part is that he enabled that to happen. What a shame bro, you still will not have a sense. How could you choose a girl over what we share?

The last thing I want is to share what truly belongs to me with someone, my head throne anytime I see them together. I can't allow that marriage of a thing to hold, I need to do anything in my power to make sure that they don't get to tie the knot. I still can't believe that Mira couldn't reject my brother doesn't it mean that she has feelings for him? My heart squeezes as I assume she is getting married to him.

"Gosh….." I need to stop thinking of this girl, this is fucking driving me insane. I can't continue like that, I can't always have her in my mind all the goddamn time. Nengi was right. I need to reject her asap to get back my sanity, always thinking about her is not helping at all. My surprise is that I don't lust over Nengi again, seeing her around me makes my stomach grumble. Her hands on me felt like they were piercing a sharp needle into my skin, gosh her scent makes me want to throw up. And this is still what I don't understand because I have always fancied Nengi but right now all I ever think is Mira and this shit annoys my being.

Strolling through the hallway, my nose flared as I got the smell of strawberries and Vanilla, "Mira……." I whispered within me.

I watched as she kept walking. It looked like she was going somewhere but I won't allow her to slip out of my hand this time around.

"Hey….." I roughly yank her back.

"What the…. She frightenedly stared at me as the word got stuck in her throat.

" Nice meeting you too……" I sarcastically muttered.

" Sorry to disappoint you but it was not nice meeting you," she twisted.

"Wow! ……" I expressed, "But it was nice meeting my brother….." I coldly snapped at her.

"Nicholas, please stop, don't start now," she pleaded.

"Really! Huh……" I muttered

"Answer me, you pathetic thing…… you don't know that you have grown wings to talk because of Derrick, huh?" I forcefully pulled her toward me with my hands clasping her neck.

"Nicholas please I am not feeling that strong, I beg of you," with teary eyes she cries.

My face hardened at her words, in as much as her words softened my heart. Seeing her tears broke me but I know that it was just a mate bond and nothing more, and I won't allow the mate bond to get the best of me.

"And how do you being sick have to do with me huh, answer me!!....." I yelled.

"Please don't do anything stupid, Nicholas," she whimpered.

"Ahhh!...." Falling to the floor she let out a scream as my hands collided with her face. Crawling back she stares at me with pain and anger.

"You think I am doing something stupid, right?" I harshly snarled at her.

"Please that is not what I meant….. Please….please…..don't misunderstand me," she let out a sob.

"You think I am doing something stupid because I told you to reject that bloody idiot…… that stupid brother of mine," squatting down I harshly pulled her face up as my nails clasped around her jaw rough and tight in a way that she will feel pain. I watched her battle to keep her emotions in check but the deeper my nails the more pain she feels, I noticed a twinkle of a small droplet of blood dripping out of her jaw.

"Ahh!....." She unexpectedly hisses in pain.

"Why did you find it hard to reject him? Tell me, have you developed a feeling for him?"

"I didn't have any feelings for him, please understand that I am not lying…" she sneezes.

"And how do you expect to believe that because you are a liar itself, so tell me the reason why I have to believe a single word that comes out of that lying pit of yours?" I snapped at her.

With her palms clenched, she struggles to free herself from my hold as tears freely flow down her cheeks "I don't have any feeling for him," she mumbled.

"Then what is still stopping you from rejecting him?" I asked as my brow twisted devilishly.

Gritting her teeth, she glares angrily at me as I can feel her wolf at the edge but that didn't even budge me as my eyes coldly stare deep into her.

"I want to reject the two of you! I don't want to have anything to do with any of you or anything related to you guys……. I need my sanity, I am a human being, not a slave," she yelled as tears spurt out of her eyes.

"Shut the fuck up!" I impatiently growled as I gave her a stinging slap.

"No…..Nic…..holas," she shuddered with her palms rubbing her cheeks.

"You still remember the rules, don't you?" I devilishly hummed.

"Please….. I….. I…..a…..m……sor…ry," the words trembled out her lips as she stammered in fear and panic.

"Uh Uh!....." She whimpered in fear as I tugged her up with my hand clenching her neck.

"Hmmm….." I dangerously sneer.

"Plea…..pleas…..

"LET HER GO NOW!" She couldn't finish as we heard an angry voice behind us.

"Derrick," I smiled wickedly as I noticed the owner of the tone.

"And what if I refused….." Turning around with a taunting brow I asked.

"You won't like what you will get, Nicholas….."

"Just let her go and don't fucking test my patient," he let out a warning growl.

"Hey, bro just calm….. Lucien couldn't finish as I coldly snapped my eyes at him causing him to swallow back in fear. Diverting my attention back to my fuming brother I let out a dangerous laugh.

" She….." I pushed her towards me as my hands circled around her, "She belongs to me and me alone, so dear brother what I decided to do to her is none of your business…. " I deadly muttered as Derrick's eyes glowed in anger.

"Please I beg of you let me go…..

" I don't want any of you, I need my sanity…." She screamed at the top of her tone.

"Shut up……" I hissed.

"Let her go…." Slowly walking towards me, Derrick muttered, though Mira's words hurt him because I can feel it.

"You want her then have her….." I said.

Glancing suspiciously at me, he started walking toward us. Reaching almost to my side I quickly pushed Mira towards him as my legs crashed at her legs and kicked her damn hard then.

"Ahh!!......." Holding her ribs, she screamed at the top of her voice with pain and hurt visible in them before she succumbed.

"Mira!!!........" Derrick and Lucien shouted in terror as Derrick catch her before she could fall to the floor.

"How could you, Nicholas……?

" How could you be so cruel and wicked….?" Standing there I kept smirking as Derrick wailed in pain and horror.

My smile widens as I stare at her present situation, that's what she gets for going against my will and doing as it pleases her.
