Chapter Nine( The rejection)

Mira's Pov:

My stomach flips as I stare at the Greek God standing in front of me. He is incredibly alluring with short black jet hair, strong jawlines, and athletic slimness in his body as his shirt hugs his body. He is drop-dead gorgeous, I stifled the urge to run into his hands and mark him as mine. My eyes tingled with amusement as I muttered the word "Mate," I tried taking a step forward but he took a step back as he eyed me up and down with a look of disgust.

This is not the first impression I want to leave on my mate, the look on his face and the way he stares at me as if the moon goddess made a mistake fucking hurt me. I peered at myself to know if I was wearing the wrong clothes, I tried taking a step forward again but he stopped me.

"What do you think you are doing?" He snarled at me causing me to stop at my track.

"We are mates," I said to him.

"Are you from this pack," he asked me with an authorized tone. He speaks with authority and a powerful aura revolves around him as he talks making me wonder which rank he is. Though he looks like an Alpha.

"Nope," I answered him.

"Then what are you doing here?" He asked again with an emotionless voice sinking fear inside me, I fear rejection. I just pray he accepts me.

"I came to visit my sister," I lied as I fiddled with my clothes. Our bond isn't that strong now so he won't know if I am lying to him or not.

"What's the name of your sister?" He said as I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Angel," I mumbled.

"The omega?" He said shocked but masked his expression before I even had the chance to see it.

"This must be a joke, is the moon goddess playing tricks on me or what?" He shook his head as he asked himself.

"I can't be mated to a low omega like you. That is a huge slap on my face though you don't smell omega, but you kind of look fragile," he said in a mocking tone. I bit my mouth to control my anger.

"The moon goddess made a mistake," he said without any emotion, his words pierce into my heart like a sharp blade. I took in a sharp breath.

"The moon goddess never makes mistakes," I told him as I reached my hands to touch him.

"What do you think you are doing, ugly creature?" He asked me as he jerked my hand off his face. He called me an ugly creature, I know that I am not that pretty but at least I am presentable. If it is someone else that said this I won't mind but for my mate, my other half the one that the moon goddess designed for me to say this…….

"You are not my spec, I am still trying to fix my life, the one thing I won't do now is to deal with you," I was interrupted from my thoughts as he snickered at me.

"Let's reject each other and pretend that this never happened," I gaped at him, with a hardened expression he uttered the painful word.

"I…….. I didn't allow him to finish as I hurried to his side and pleaded with him not to reject me, he looked at me with a bored expression and swatted me away from himself.

" No matter what you do, don't lay those filthy hands on me again," he growls at me, causing me to flinch back in fear.

"I won't accept your rejection, no matter what," I threatened him as I snarled at him, tears trailing down my face.

"Why won't my mate accept me? Why is my life so full of pain? Why does the moon goddess hate me so much?" Many questions kept popping into my head as I allowed the tears to flow voluntarily. Before I knew it he surged to my side with force causing me to hit my back at the wall, I hissed in pain as he held my neck. Pain flickered in my eye as he tightened his grip on my neck.

"Please, I can't breathe," I whimper, I place my two hands on his shoulder as I struggled to push him off me but who am I kidding, he is way far stronger than me. The more I struggled to free myself the further he went in tightening his grip on me. I cried out as my eyes popped out of their socket.

"Since you are not ready to reject me, I will frustrate your stay here, ugly creature," he growled at me as his eyes flickered with hatred and anger.

"For the last time, will you accept the rejection and pretend that this never happens?" He asked me with a toxic expression. I shook my head at him. Though his eyes frighten me I can't accept the rejection, I have longed to meet my mate, and after finding myself in this trauma of being arranged to marry a monster I fucking need my mate to escape.

"N….no," I barely speak as he tightens his grip on my neck. My face turned red as I felt life leaving me. I tried using my leg to kick him and shove him off me but he kicked my leg damn hard.

"No!!!" I cried in agony as I felt my ankle twisted due to the heavy kick from my mate. He held my two hands up my head together with my hair.

"Why don't you accept the rejection and feel the pain once, then in eternity," he said to me with a wicked smile.

"Why do you despise me so much despite not knowing anything about me," I weakly asked.

"We are both from a different world, I can't find myself being mated to a low life, like you," he said in a bored tone. He thinks I am an omega, his hatred for me makes him not perceive that I am from alpha blood but what do I expect a lot of people even in my former pack don't even know that I am from the alpha blood or family.

"I won't, I will never accept the rejection," I yelled at him as I spat on his face.

"Haaa….ha!" I screamed in pain as my head collide with the wall.
