DON'T GO
ALEX
As the last dish was put away, Vicky hopped up from his chair, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Let's watch a movie! I want to watch a sci-fi movie!" His voice filled the room with enthusiasm, and I couldn't help but chuckle at his eagerness.
Jay looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Really? Sci-fi? Can't we watch something more exciting?"
Vicky stuck out his tongue playfully. "Come on, Jay! Sci-fi is awesome! There are spaceships and aliens and cool gadgets!"
Lucy interjected with a gentle smile. "Well, I think sci-fi sounds like a great choice, boys. Let's find a movie that we can all enjoy."
We made our way to the living room, transforming it into a cozy haven for our movie night. Pillows and blankets were arranged on the couch, creating a warm nest where we could all cuddle together. The room was filled with anticipation as Lucy found a sci-fi film that seemed suitable for our afternoon entertainment.
As the movie began, I settled comfortably on the couch, with Jay sitting on one side of me and Vicky on the other and Lucy beside him. The film transported us to distant galaxies and futuristic worlds, sparking our imaginations.
I always loved sci-fi movies. In fact, on our first date, I took Lucy to a sci-fi movie too. Thinking about the date, we only went on one date. We need more dates like that. I took a mental note about planning our next one.
Vicky leaned in close, pointing at the screen with excitement as he asked, "Alex, do you think we'll have flying cars like that in the future?"
I smiled and ruffled his hair. "Who knows? The future is full of possibilities. Maybe one day you'll be the one inventing those flying cars."
As the movie played on, laughter and gasps filled the room. Vicky's enthusiasm was contagious, and soon we were all fully immersed in the movie. Lucy's laughter echoed through the space, she looked so happy and carefree and I loved every second of it.
At one point, as a particularly humorous scene played out, Jay burst into laughter, his eyes twinkling with delight.
I glanced at Lucy and she was looking at Jay with a smile. I know how important this is for her and I'm glad today is going better than I expected.
In between movies, we took a short break to order pizza for dinner. I took out my phone and dialed the number, making sure to ask for everyone's favorite toppings.
When the pizza arrived, the aroma filled the room. We gathered around the coffee table, balancing plates on our laps, and indulged in a feast of cheesy goodness.
As we ate, conversation flowed effortlessly, with each of us sharing our favorite moments from the movies we had watched.
Vicky, his mouth full of pizza, blurted out, "Remember that scene when the spaceship blasted off? That was so cool!"
Jay nodded in agreement, a smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, and the VFX, it was like nothing I've ever seen before."
I looked at Jay, who had gradually opened up throughout the day. "I'm glad that you are liking sci-fi movies''.
Jay nodded. "I guess I was just hesitant at first, but now I know how much fun it can be."
The hours flew by, and before we knew it, the sun had set, casting a warm glow through the windows. The room was filled with a soft, golden light, creating a cozy ambiance.
As the final credits rolled on the screen, we found ourselves cuddled together on the couch, blankets wrapped around us like a cozy cocoon. Jay and Vicky fell asleep on me and Lucy laid her head on my shoulder, wrapping her hand over Vicky and around my waist.
I felt my eyelids become heavy too and before I knew it, I was out like a light.

I felt some shifting beside me but decided to ignore it, but I felt the shift again and I tried to open my eyes. From my half-opened eyes, I saw Lucy carrying a still-sleepy Jay into his room.
She returned to me, planting a soft kiss on my forehead and gently pushed me to the side, so that I didn't have to sleep in a sitting position and covered the blanket over me.
>_<
I slowly woke up again, with the sun gently caressing my face. As I sat up, stretching my arms, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted from the kitchen.
After brushing my teeth, I showered in Lucy's bathroom and made my way to the kitchen. Vicky and Jay sat at the table, already wide awake and sipping on a cup of hot chocolate.
Vicky's eyes lit up when he saw me, and he greeted me with a cheery "Good morning, Alex!" followed by Jay's ''Good morning''.
"Good morning guys" I replied with a smile, taking an empty seat next to Vicky.
Lucy poured me a cup of coffee. It was too sweet for my liking but I gratefully accepted the warm brew.
After breakfast, we set off for the biggest aquarium in Rome. The boys' excitement was palpable as we walked through the doors, greeted by the sight of fish, sharks, and playful dolphins. Their eyes widened with wonder, and I couldn't help but share in their amazement.
As we explored the different exhibits, the boys bombarded me with questions, their curiosity was boundless. I did my best to answer each query.
After a morning of underwater adventures, our appetites called for lunch. We headed to a restaurant owned by GG, a place I had carefully designed to provide an unforgettable dining experience.
The boys' eyes widened as they took in the elegant surroundings, their excitement mirrored in Lucy's gentle smile.
As we finished our meal, Lucy looked at me, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I have a surprise for the boys. How do you feel about some sightseeing in Rome?"
I grinned, the thought of exploring the ancient city filling me with excitement. "I think it's a fantastic idea. Let's show them the wonders of this beautiful city."
We strolled through the historic streets, taking in the grandeur of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the breathtaking beauty of the Vatican.
The boys' eyes widened at each new sight. As we walked, the conversations flowed effortlessly. We discussed the history and significance of the landmarks we encountered, and the boys eagerly shared their thoughts and observations.
I couldn't help but be impressed by their sharp minds and thirst for knowledge. It was obvious that Lucy was doing one hell of a job by raising them to be curious and open to the world around them.
At one point, Jay tugged at my sleeve, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Alex, do you think people used to fight lions in the Colosseum like they showed in the movies?"
I crouched down to his level, a smile playing on my lips. "Well, the Colosseum was a place where gladiators would engage in battles, and sometimes, they would face off against fierce animals like lions. It was a different time, with different traditions."
Vicky, who had been listening intently, chimed in. "I would have loved to see a real gladiator fight! It sounds so cool!"
I chuckled, ruffling his hair. "I'm sure it would have been quite a spectacle. But remember, times have changed, and we now appreciate the beauty and history of these places without the need for such violence."
As the day progressed, we continued our exploration of Rome, absorbing its rich history and vibrant culture.
We visited the Trevi Fountain, where Lucy and the boys eagerly tossed coins over their shoulders, making wishes with hopeful smiles.
We walked hand in hand through narrow cobblestone streets, admiring quaint shops and charming cafes. And we ended our journey at a picturesque viewpoint overlooking the city, as the golden hues of the setting sun painted the skyline.
*-* *-*
After entering the apartment, Lucy's soothing voice filled the air. "It has been a truly incredible day, hasn't it?"
I nodded, my gaze shifting between Lucy and the boys.
Vicky yawned, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Can we do this again, Alex? I had so much fun today."
A warmth filled my chest as I kneeled down in front of him. "Of course. There are many more adventures waiting for us. We'll create new memories, explore new places."
Jay, who had been quiet, looked up at me with a soft smile. "Thank you, I really enjoyed spending time with you. You weren't as bad as I thought.''
I smirked and hugged him tightly. ''The pleasure is all mine.''
Lucy tucked the boys into bed, kissing their foreheads and whispering sweet dreams. I stood by her side, a sense of awe washing over me as I observed her sweet gestures.
Returning to the living room, Lucy whispered, her voice barely above a murmur, "thank you for being so patient and understanding with Jay. It means the world to me to see them bond with you."
I turned my head to meet her gaze and cupped her cheek. "I adore your boys, Tesoro. It brings me so much joy to see Jay opening up and Vicky, well, he's a bundle of happiness."
She nuzzled her cheek against my palm and grinned at me. ''The more I spend time with you, the more I like you. What are you doing to me?''
''I should be the one asking you that question, Tesoro. You are showing the side of me that I didn't know existed until I met you.'' I said and kissed her softly.
''I'll see you tomorrow.'' I said as I pulled away.
I resisted the urge to pin her to the nearest wall and have my way with her. She must be tired after a hectic day and I don't want to exhaust her even more.
She frowned but nodded her head and we made our way to the door. I wore my shoes and as I was about to open the door, I felt my shirt pulled on.
I turned and saw Lucy holding my shirt between her fingers. She licked her lips and swallowed but didn't utter a word for a few seconds.
When she finally looked at me, her eyes were filled with lust and need. I gulped, clenching my fist.
''Don't go'' her voice barely came out as a whisper. ''I don't want you to go. Spend the night with me.''
