“Leave me!! I said, leave me!! Let go of me, bastard!! Leave!! Leave!!” Arabella cried when someone tried to force himself on her. She remembered clearly that she was in clothes when she had gone to bed, but again she was naked, easily accessible.
“Ara!!”
“Leave me.”
“Ara!! Ara!!”
In the next second, a lot of water was thrown at her face, on which she opened her eyes and looked at the person who had tried to force himself on her when she was sleeping.
“Youuuu,” She yelled at Wylder, who was holding a water bottle in his hand. Earlier, he was concerned, but now he was shocked at her sudden outburst. Hell, he couldn't even understand the sudden change in her behavior. She left the bed to kick his ass, and when she realized that, she was still in her clothes except for her jeans, of course. But when she was all wet. “Why did you throw water at me?” She questioned in anger
“Because you were dealing with your nightmare and were crying in your sleep. I tried to wake you up, but you started hitting me as if I was some villain in your nightmare. I couldn’t see you in that state, so I did what I felt right.” Wylder responded angrily.
She opened her mouth to shout at him, but she couldn’t because all she kept thinking about was his words, ‘I couldn’t see you in that state.’
“Still, you shouldn’t have thrown so much water at me.” She spoke in a low tone. “See, I’m all wet.” She added, pointing toward her clothes.
Wylder arched his eyebrow at the sudden change in her tone, but then she was right. He used magic to change her clothes into a comfortable knee-length decent nightdress, in which watching her wouldn't turn his beast.
“Thank you.” She muttered and looked at the clock. It was two in the morning.
Wylder didn’t miss how she could understand what exactly the time was, or the werewolves staying in the pack had a habit of reading stars or moon to guess the approx time.
“Do you have drugs or pills? I don’t think I can sleep.” She asked in a low tone. She had no idea whether she would ever find her identity. But one thing was for sure she could never sleep without getting any nightmares.
Her life had been destroyed with this permanent scar on it.
“No. I don’t have.” Wylder replied, shaking his head. “What is troubling you?” He asked softly, maintaining some distance between them because the girl had an anger issue, something that was the ability of the red wolf.
“Why do you care?” Arabella’s tone changed again.
“I don’t.”
“Then drop this act.” She snapped and watched his jaw getting tightening. She waited for him to react to it, but that never happened. Instead, he left the room. She closed her eyes in regret when she realized that she was being rude to him for no reason, or maybe because he lied. He lied about the part that he cared about her. Still, he answered just the opposite to it.
Arabella didn’t stay frozen at her place, and without her knowledge, her legs started running in the same direction from where he had left and kept running until she spotted him. He was taking big steps with his long steps on the stair.
“I’m sorry!!” She apologized, hugging him from his back. Wylder’s body stiffened when she wrapped her hand around his waist. He didn’t notice her coming as he was walking furious, but her touch threw a bucket of cold water at his body, calming her down in an instant.
Something, something that only a mate could do.
