Chapter 34 Act of Jealousy

Siergo took his leave and I was all alone with Shawn in Siergo’s office.

“Don’t you think you were a little bit rude?” I asked.

“I like to be rude, it is fun,” he stated in a childish tone.

It is not as if I care anyway, I will ignore him just as he does to me. It seems that he was serious about teaching me though, he was reading the documents seriously and he kept explaining me several business terms.

I need to know what exactly Gerald told him.

“What did you decide to help me?”

“It is your company, Lily. You should manage it yourself,” he clarified.

“It seems that you went against your father decision earlier though,”

He converted his look from reading the papers and documents into glaring at me.

“Why? Did you think I would listen to my father even if he was at fault?” he retorted.

“I didn’t say that…” I was interrupted by Siergo’s voice who announced the time for lunch.

“We should have a meal together, it has been 4 hours, c’mon let’s take a break,” Siergo said.

“Okay,” I responded.

We followed Siergo to a nearby restaurant. I did not notice that it was the same restaurant where I first met Siergo in until I stepped into it. We even sat at the same table I was sitting at back then. The waiter took our orders; I wanted to eat something simple so I ordered a seafood soup.

The waiter soon came back and placed our orders alongside the small dish in where the yellow liquid; the alcohol is. I thanked god that I already know what that thing is, I did not want to embarrass myself in front of Shawn.

“I see you have learned from your previous mistake?” Siergo commented while smiling my way.

I coughed the soup I was about to gulp down my throat, I did not expect him to mention that. This situation would be totally misunderstood by Shawn, he would wonder about how I met Siergo the CEO of the company I did not know I owned until recently.

“Mistake?” Shawn repeated confused by Siergo’s statement.

“Didn’t she tell you that we have met before? She even confessed her feelings to me,” he continued.

“No, that was…”

I did not know what to say honestly, he put me in a weird situation.

“You know that wasn’t my intention,” I corrected.

“Yeah, I know. I just think it was funny,”

Think silently, could you? I wished to tell him so.

“How did you guys meet?” Shawn asked indifferent by our conversation.

“She was fo…”

“Mr. Siergo, don’t you think you are acting rudely?” I retorted abruptly.

“Am I?”

“Yes, you are. We are eating now so we should refrain from speaking,” I said as I glared at him with my eyes wide open.

“I am sorry I was being reckless, I will take care from now on,” he responded cheekily.

I had to stop him from saying anything troublesome, I glanced at Shawn and he kept showing an indifferent face, at least he did not make a problem out of this, I thought to myself.

We finished eating and then we went back home, I headed to my room to change my clothes expecting that Shawn will also head to his but he did not. I suddenly heard the door is opening and Shawn stepped into the room ignoring that I was bottomless; I was only wearing a loose sweater and a pantie.

I covered my body quickly embarrassed that has seen me this way.

“You didn’t tell me that you have met Siergo before?” he started.

“Well, I didn’t think I would meet him again to begin with, can’t we talk about this later?” I asked still holding the pants in front of my legs trying to cover them.

“Well, don’t you think that it is unnecessary to hide those tiny smooth legs of yours,”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean that we are married, Lily. I can watch you naked all night long,”

“I don’t like that,”

" I might not want to be a part of this marriage but why don't you?" He asked in a husky voice.

" Why can you not want it but I can't, that is why you piss me off, Shawn." I spat out.

I watched him as he rushed my way and threw the pants I was holding away exposing my legs.

He grabbed my hand pulling me to his chest as he aimed for my lips, I wanted to back away but his grip would not let me. He tried to invade my mouth but I didn't grant him entry so he bit my lip which caused me to yelp and that was his chance to deepen the kiss as he held my waist pinning me to his body.

He was not his normal self; he was more aggressive and pushy. Whenever he acted this way, he would intimidate me greatly, it was as if he could not see clearly and focused only on one thing, making me his.

I knew that he would not stop if I asked him so I kicked him in the stomach pushing him away, which was the only way to get out of his grip.

“I hate you Shawn, I fuckin hate you very much,” I said as I stormed out of the room.

I kept reminding myself that his father may have killed mine; Gerald is restricting my freedom and robbing the money I did not even know existed.

His father is my enemy and my goal is to run away or bring him down, so how can I love his son. Shawn shall be on his father’s side. It is his father after all. I do not wish him to fight his father nor do I wish to make him love me then watch me disappear from his sight.

It hurt me to leave him this way but that is the only thing I could do, we are unfortunately destined to hate each other.
