Chapter 37
Calm has returned to my life and my relationship, it has been 3 days since I was kidnapped and Yazahib saved me. My boyfriend has told me the truth about the whole situation. The man who kidnapped me did it because Yazahib took over a project that he had been working for and he didn't like that so he forced Yazahib to give it back to him. Yazahib did what the man asked in exchange for him not touching me again.
I was very worried, I didn't want Yazahib to lose one of his projects for my well-being, but my boyfriend told me that everything was fine and that this was the only way to keep me safe so I accepted it. My aunt, although she is calm, wants to see me and she has promised to come to the United States when I return from my vacation. Yazahib insisted that we go on vacation to Colombia and I gladly accepted, I will be able to see my aunt and the best thing is that Simone will accompany us, but first we must go to his company.
Yazahib won't let me leave the house alone so today I will go with him to his office to accompany him. When I look at him I smile at his gesture when he sees my outfit, I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms, I know what he's going to say. I'm wearing skinny jeans and a low-cut blouse.
“Baby,” he growls as a warning, “change your shirt at least. You're showing everything,” I snort and approach him, hug him by the neck and kiss his lips, “no, you're not going to convince me,” he tries to separate from me but I don't allow it.
“I love you, do you know how much I love you?” He smile, “so you shouldn't bother with your girlfriend for just wearing a low-cut blouse,” I kiss his lips again.
“Well, I'm not going to get mad because when you get pregnant you won't be able to wear any of these clothes,” he slides his hand over my body and I completely tensed when I heard about the pregnancy. I still haven't told him that I'm taking care of myself, “I agreed not to go to the doctor, but if the next pregnancy test comes back negative, let's see him,” I smile so as not to show my nervousness.
“Love, you should let him be,” I separate from him, “if I still don't get pregnant, it is because I couldn't,” I take my bag, “now, stop thinking about pregnancies and let's go. We have a trip to do, I'm dying to see my aunt,” I take him by the hand and start walking, “you'll like Colombia a lot. Its people, its beaches, its culture and more its gastronomy,” I look at him happily, “and its gastronomy will fascinate you, mm and its coffee, my land has the best coffee in the world,” Yazahib smiles upon hearing me so excited.
Upon arriving at the company, Yazahib drops me off at his office and goes out to fix some business. Bored I turn on his computer and go to emails, once I worked alone in answering emails.
“Daniel?” When I saw Caroline with the blonde, I sighed deeply. They don't like me and the blonde doesn't hide it, “I thought Yazahib wouldn't let you leave the house,” she smiles mockingly.
“Well, now, here I am,” I try to ignore her, “I'm not a pet that can be locked at home,” I smile falsely.
"Oh… I thought so," says the blonde laughing, "just look at you, you are poor, you live in his house and he must always get into trouble to save you,” what she says makes me feel bad, but I am not willing to be disrespected.
I get up and face them both, “I can be all that, but not interested or dependent,” I look into her eyes, “Yazahib may be the most powerful in the world, the richest businessman in the world and that doesn't matter to me, do you know why? Because if I have to achieve something I will do it with my effort, I will do it myself,” I smile with arrogance, “not like some who depend on a man or their parents to have money and fame,” the two women look at me offended, “oh, How is Mr. Frank?” I ask the blonde about her father.
She does not like him approaching me and that seems absurd to me, “my father is fine and he is not of your interest,” she crosses her arms and Caroline looks at me with distaste.
“Look, Daniel, I have tried to be good to you, I have tried not to tell you things because I know you will suffer. Yazahib sooner or later will hurt you a lot and you will wish you had moved away from the beginning,” she gets closer to me, “do you think your relationship with Yazahib has any future? Do you think he really loves you?” She shook her head while she smiling, “Yazahib Meyer doesn't love anyone, he only has a crush on women. He enjoys her and once he gets tired of her, he just leaves her and comes back to me. I am the only one who understands him and the only one who is always there for him,” she withdraws, taking a step back, “so for your sake, do not fall in love with him so much, and if you have, I advise you to try to forget him,” smilingly, she takes the hand of the blonde and leave the office leaving me heartbroken.
She is not the first person to tell me that, thoughtfully, I try not to affect myself with Caroline's words, I try not to believe what she told me, but the fear in me is such that the urge to cry overwhelms me. If Yazahib is playing with me it will hurt a lot, that would completely destroy me.
"Daniel!" I look at the door and smile when I see Frank, “oh girl, how beautiful you are.”
I immediately got up to shake his hand, “Mr. Hills, I'm very well, thanks for the compliment,” I smile kindly, “your daughter has been here,” I release his hand and step back a bit, “you look very good today,” the man is a tall blond with honey-colored eyes with an appearance of respected and powerful businessman.
“Thank you precious. In fact, talking to you does anyone good,” he winks at me.
“Come on, please sit down, I haven't seen you for so long- the man sits on one of the sofas and I imitate him, I haven't seen him since I worked here, I laugh at the memory. The man always bought me lunch when Yazahib was away, it was as if he took care of me.
“He is going out of the country, to Colombia.”
I look at him amazed and excited, “Yazahib and I will go to Colombia. My aunt still lives there.”
The man smiles at me, “Colombia, it brings me so many memories,” he sighs melancholy, “it's beautiful, wonderful,” he looks me in the eye and I don't understand that look.
“Are you okay?” I ask concerned, “Mr. Hills, are you okay?”
The man smiles and confirms that he is okay, “it's just that seeing your face brings back so many memories that it hurts.”
I frown in confusion, “what do you mean?”
