I dropped Katherine back at the apartment and decided I would pay a visit to my parents and spend time at my family's house. A scowl crunched her face, “Alexander Walters! What the hell is wrong with y—” I slammed the door in her face before she could complete her statement. I wasn’t going to let her finish that statement and I had urgent work to take care of now, so I shut the door and went to the kitchen, where I’m sure the origin of the crash was coming from.

And of course, the perpetrators were standing there, in the middle of their one–too–many arguments that never seem to end. My parents.

“You’re a stupid woman, Grace and I don't even know why I bother myself with you sometimes. In fact, I regret marrying you!” That was my dad, he hadn’t realized I was here yet. My mum however knew the moment I had come in and the menacing scowl she had on directed at her husband died down immediately and she had been trying to signal him that I was here and he should quit it.

They didn’t like arguing in front of me, like it would change anything.

“He’s here.” My mother subtly told him through gritted teeth and my dad realized, his angered demeanor dropping immediately. They both turned to face me with the most fakest smiles on their faces like I was dumb enough to ignore the slap mark on my mother’s face, her teary eyes, and the fragments of ceramic littered all over them.

“Alexander, we didn’t know you were back from school yet.” my father smiled and I scoffed. Of course, you didn’t. “How was school today, son? What about football training too?” What the actual fuck? Do they think I’m a day–old? Trying to act oblivious to the fact that I just saw them fighting once again and he has the guts to fucking ask me about school?

Why do they keep torturing me and themselves? They should just end it!

My fists clenched, “You should get a divorce, or I will disappear from your life.” My voice was low and the effect was vividly seen on their faces, the words pierced deep. I wasn’t in the mood to say anything more to them or see any more of this house or any more of their faces or anyone else’s. I was angered and annoyed

I stormed out of the kitchen and went out of the house and straight to the garage. I entered my car and turned on the ignition. I needed to clear my head and sort my shit out. Where was I headed?
