My mind wasn't at rest as I left Isabelle at home, I mean, she needed rest, yes but I'm supposed to be her side and the fact that I don't know who the anonymous hunter was got me even worried.

Whoever it was, he or she will definitely come back and won't rest until he completes his mission but why would anybody want to harm Isabelle or is one of her dad's enemies after her?

I'm so confused, I will have to be her side 24/7 but I don't think I can do that, I have loads of issues to handle with the neighboring pack then school.

"Kyle, what are you thinking about?" I heard Aiden ask me.

"Uh? Oh, I'm just worried about Isabelle." I answered.

"Oh, don't worry, she will be okay, the pack members are around to protect her." He declared but it wasn't enough to convince me.

Kaylee is one of the pack members and that girl is a Jezebel in disguise, good thing that Isabelle knows that or else, she will be victim number 2 and I don't want what happened to Emelda to repeat itself.

I can't kick her out because of the stupid deal that my father made with her dad and I don't want her to be a Rogue, my hatred for her will increase if such happens.

"We need to find that hunter, we have to set a trap for him, I will do deal with him when I catch him." I exclaimed in anger which made Aiden go mute.

I squinted my eyes at him to see if he will be shaken, "Your silence is making me suspect that maybe it was Kaylee."

His eyes widened, "What? No, she didn't, she was injured as well, besides why would she want to attack Isabelle when she has been trying so hard for you to forgive her?"

His statement seemed reasonable to my ears and brain but I can't trust Kaylee completely neither Aiden, they have been getting quite close for my liking.

My only fear was that she shouldn't manipulate my bestfriend into doing something stupid, Isabelle and I will have to be mindful of these people until everything has been cleared.

We finally got to the neighboring pack, Light moon pack.

The beta seemed quite pissed as he saw us, "What's wrong?" I had to ask.

"We just found out that one of your pack members crossed the border and got into our territory." He stated and I started to wonder who.

Every body was aware of boundaries so who would make such stupid mistake.

"Who was that? I will have to deal with that person." I remarked.

"It was girl, a blonde." Michael, the beta replied.

My brain calculated everything quickly, it was Isabelle.

The so called anonymous hunter was one of their members, how dare they?!

I asked, feigning pretense, "What did you do to her?"

"We shot her thinking she was a rogue, it was later that we got information it was the current Luna of your pack."

The instant he made the confession, I rushed at him, I pulled him and squeezed his shirt.

How dare he mistake my Issy as a Rogue?!

She is not and will never be.

" She was not a rogue and you don't go around shooting wolves, it's very wrong of you, you are quite lucky that she survived, I would have eliminated your whole pack." I yelled at him.

He couldn't utter a word in response because he knew that my statement was not a threat.

Aiden pulled me back and I released him ," Just stop it, she's new to this wolf thing so it was a mistake that will not happen again, I will make sure of it." I stated, calmly.

"Then, she's a rogue because she never grew up in a pack." I sensed spite in his voice and I instantly glared at him.

"She isn't one and I will not repeat myself! She's the Luna of my Blue Moon pack!" I exclaimed.

Any more attempt to lower the rank of Isabelle, that person shall feel my wrath.

I felt a pat on my back and Aiden whispered for me to calm down, I decided to leave so I wouldn't let them use my anger against me.

Without wasting much time after my warning, I shifted into a wolf and bolted off, not thinking about anything or anyone other than Isabelle because she's my number one priority.

I shifted back and got into the pack house, answering their numerous greetings, it hasn't been easy handling a pack especially when my dad died unexpectedly and my uncle, his beta followed suite seven years later.

Maintaining peace was like war itself, other packs has been trying to spite us because we hardly have time to think of starting a fight.

I walked straight to my room and met Isabelle, completely zoned out into space, a smile appeared on my face as I remembered that pretty she wolf is mine.

I cleared my throat to announce my presence, she flinched then calmed down.

She said, "Babe, you are back, that was fast, welcome though."

"Thank you." I replied her then walked towards the bed to sit.

"How are you feeling? Is the pain subsiding? I told you to rest, why are you so stubborn?" I threw alot of questions at her.

"Calm down, babe. Yes, my arm is getting better." She stated but I didn't believe her.

"You still need to rest, regardless."

"Sure." She nodded.

"So, how was the meeting?" She asked as I put her in a comfortable position.

"Well, I found who was the mysterious hunter." I uttered.

I watched her blink severally then she shun her eyes, "You did?!"

I squinted my eyes at her a bit before raising my brow, "Yes, I did. It was a neighboring pack that shot you because they thought you were a rogue."

Her body language was telling me something I didn't want to believe.

"Wow, I didn't know that I crossed into someone's land."

"It's okay, it was a mistake." I told her.

"Let's drop the issue, I will send an Omega to get you dinner, by the way, that Kaylee come here while I was away?" I inquired from her.

She hesistated before replying, "Yes, she did."

I clenched my jaw as I heard her response, why can't that Jezebel just leave Isabelle alone?!

"And was she here?"

"Ummm, she came to apologize."

"Huh? I did just hear well?" I asked to confirm because of how untrue that statement sounded in my ears.

"Yes, she did. She told me how sorry she was, that now that she know we are mates, there's nothing she can do to bring us apart."

Her confession made me burst into laughter, "Please, rest. I will get you your dinner."

She stared at me for a minute but didnt say a word, she laid down and shut her eyes, making me admire how pretty she is when she is asleep.

I got up and left the room, things didn't seem right to me.

What on Earth would make Kaylee render an apology?!

How come the beta never mentioned shooting Kaylee, they only shot a blonde.

It's all mixed up and I don't get it.

The only person who I could force out answers from was Kaylee and I'm going to just that.

I marched to her room and got in without knocking.

The look of fear and shock enveloped her as she saw me, "What the hell Kyle?! Don't you know how to knock before entering a lady's room?" She was obviously offended that I interrupted her make out session with Aiden.

"Sorry, man." I apologized and he nodded with a smile before leaving.

"What do you want? I have left you and your mate alone so why can't you do the same?"

I ignored her numerous stupid questions and went straight with my interrogation, "Where exactly were you when you get shot?"

"I was almost at Light moon pack territory." She answered.

"What were you doing there? You of all people should know the rules of not crossing over!" I yelled at her, she flinched in response.

Why does she keep messing up on purpose?!

She's just pure trouble.

"Well, my darling ex boyfriend, I wanted to stop our Luna from breaking the rules but it was too late because we both got shot." She stated.

I glared sternly to see if it will shaken her to tell the truth but it seemed to me that she wasn't lying.

I wasn't satisfied yet.

" Or you went after her like you did to Emelda. "

Her eyes turned to one that showed hurt," Why would you think I would do that? Jeez, Kyle, I'm not always an horrible person, why can't you see some good in me?"

This stupid front won't work on me this time.

She's such a pretender.

" Aren't you evil?! Tell me, you and I know that you are no where good so you better drop the act. " I warned her.

" Kyle, with all due respect, I won't let you insult me, please leave my room."

Her order infuriated me, I grabbed her arm and yanked her closer to me, she got scared as she saw my eye colour.

" Do not ever in your miserable life try to dismiss the Alpha because when next time, you attempt to, you will be a wolf without a pack." It wasn't a threat, I was damn serious.

"I will be watching you, if I notice any funny business, you are a goner and by the way, thanks for trying to save Isabelle, she owes you not me but stay away from her or else, you know exactly what will happen." I declared before heading out of her room.

I could hear her burst into crying but I didn't care, I have given these girl many chances but not this time.
