Fernanda

Have you ever heard of the walk of shame? That's what happened to me when I walked into my apartment and found myself with not one person but two or better yet, my twin daughters and they looked like they'd been waiting for me for a long time.

— Mom... — They scream together and I put my hands over my ears covering them so I don't hear their questions and when I see them calm down I say:

I get down and grab my sandals, and my bag that was on the couch and I head towards my room and when I get there, I throw my bag on the bed and the sandals in the corner of the room and I throw myself there and I stay dreaming remembering how the wonderful night was.

I stay there for a long time, lying there wanting to go back in time and do it all over again. Honestly I don't know how long I stood there daydreaming when I hear the message ringing from my cell phone and I pull it out of my bag and when I pick it up and unlock it and when I enter Whatssap and when I see who sent the message, my smile then it goes off.

I sit on the bed and roll my eyes when I read the message again and it reads like this:

“Hi, my beautiful little wife!

I miss you so much,

Did you like the flowers I sent you?”

How is it? By what right does this idiot think he's still my husband? And one thing comes to mind why the girls didn't tell me their father came here? I can't contain myself, and I breathe very deeply and with a calm that I didn't have, I end up dialing his number and I stand there listening to the call and when I was about to close I hear Otávio's voice saying:

- Hey my Love...

"Still, not if it's an invitation anymore..."

- Shut up! - I reply angrily and roll my eyes again at nothing. "I just want to know why you're texting me?"

— No Otávio, I'm not yours or anyone's and you're forbidden to message me just to talk about our daughters. — I warn and I hear him grumble and I interrupt him and say: — I don't want you to send me flowers, do you hear me?

— Fernanda, they are your favorite flowers. he reminds me, as if that was important and it wasn't anymore. And the flowers he sent me were wildflowers and that didn't catch my attention like it used to and now I prefer roses.

—Otávio, please, I don't want any gifts from you, the only thing I want is a divorce and that's all.

"I won't give it to you!" He yells and I roll my eyes again.

“For God's sake, man acts like an adult and not like a child throwing a tantrum for taking away his favorite toy. — I talk crazy to get on the phone and punch him. And I do better than that, I end the call. - Idiot!

I get out of bed and head towards the kitchen where I find my daughters making dinner and I notice that there were the flowers that Otávio had mentioned.

— Girls… — I call them and they turn to me and I look at them and point to the vase that held the flowers and ask curiously: — Why didn't they tell me that your father had sent me the flowers?
