Chapter 11: The Dance
“How's the date anyway?” He asked me. I looked around for Javier but I couldn't find him. ‘‘Okay I guess. Not feeling the sparks just yet. How's yours?’’ I responded. ‘‘It's hardly a date.’’ He said and looked at Melissa who was swaying her hips to the music. ‘‘She thinks differently.’’ I said, also taking her in. ‘‘There's no brain in there. She bores me.’’ He said and he looked at me. ‘‘Maybe she's good in bed.’’ I said and instantly regretted that. If I could hit myself right now, I would hit myself unconscious.
Damon grinned and took another sip of his drink. ‘‘Nah, she wouldn't be. I think she would be a 2/10’’. I looked around and pointed at a woman with long blonde hair and a neon pink mini dress. ‘‘What about her?’’ I asked him. He looked as well and answered immediately, ‘‘3/10 with five more Whiskeys.’’ I pointed at a woman with short brown hair, leather pants and a shirt which was cut up and had holes in it. I looked at Damon with a question in my eyes. He turned around. ‘‘A strong 7/10 I would say. She's feisty.’’ Damon answered. I took another 4 sips of my drink, really feeling the alcohol now.
‘‘What about me?’’ I blurted out. I mentally slapped myself again but stared in his eyes, finally feeling the liquid courage. He inched his face closer and put his mouth right by my ear, ‘‘the best one I could ever have. You wouldn't leave my bed for 5 days. I would keep you forever and treat you so good you would be begging for more.” I felt his breath on my neck, creating goose bumps. He put his hand on my leg, on the side of my hip. ‘‘You wouldn't be able to walk anymore. But I would heal you.’’ He said and sniffed my neck. I swallowed, lost for words. He stood upright again, removing the hand from my leg. I almost reached for his hand, wanting to feel it again. ‘‘But I wouldn't touch you without your permission,’’ He added. I still couldn't speak, just staring at him. I had no idea what to say.
‘‘Want to dance?’’ He asked me after a second. He turned to the bartender and asked for another double whiskey, noting that I still had some of mine left. He looked at me again and I stared at him like some goldfish. ‘‘Okay.’’ was the best answer I could give. I was bold. I stood up and took his hand, walking to the dancefloor. I felt sparks where our skin touched and couldn't really concentrate. Butterflies lined my stomach. He edged closer behind me and put an arm around my waist. Astronomia - Never Go Home by Tony Igy was playing and I vibed to the music, feeling like I was flying. I really felt those drinks now. And it felt good.
I wanted to take his other hand but noted that he held onto his glass of whiskey. He noticed and quickly threw the entire glass of whiskey on the floor, not even breaking it. The liquid spilt everywhere but was quickly forgotten. He put his other arm around me, grabbing my hand in the process. He inched my body a bit back, moulding to his body. The lights were flickering fast, making everything show in slow motion. We swayed and I tilted my head to the side, touching his chest. His chin touched my forehead and even in those places, sparks flew. My ass ground on his c*ck and I felt a wave of lust taking me over. I felt safe, caged in his arms and in absolute bliss. He held me tighter, protecting me from the world. I could tell he was struggling to keep his hands in place and not roam to other places. ‘‘Mmmmm’’ I murmured and I really started to sway my hips, starting in slow circles so I felt everything.
‘‘TRIS!!’’ Kenna shouted while her body slammed into me. ‘‘Jane isss thriwng up. You help.’’ Kenna said, absolutely wasted. But I got the gist of what she was saying.
Damon released me, his hand lingering on the side of my waist. Kenna touched my face, her eyes half closed. ‘‘I will take you guys home.’’ I said worriedly, looking at Kenna. ‘‘I will drive you,’’ Damon said, looking a bit pissed off. How was this guy still standing? I swear he had eight whiskeys already. There was no way he could drive, right? ‘‘No. You're bad news.’’ Kenna said while pointing at Damon, hitting him in his chest with her finger. I don't know why, but I didn't like that. I took her hand away from his chest and tilted up her chin in my fingers. ‘‘Come on, where is Jane? And where is Rose?’’ I asked her. “I want to go to James.” She said happily, looking around. She took one step and almost fell over. Damon caught her and we took her away from the dance floor.
Almost on the edge of the dance floor, Javier ran into me with Logan. “Chicaaaa!” Logan happily said. Javier grabbed my hips and pulled me to him, too fast for me to do anything. Then suddenly Damon grabbed his wrists and Javier instantly let me go, shrieking in pain. “Do. Not. Touch. My. Mate.” Damon said while still holding his wrists. Mate? Is that a new word for student that just almost rode your d*ck in the club? I thought while trying to control the situation. Javier, being very drunk, looked at Damon with a brave expression. ‘‘Try me.’’ He said. A gust of rage filled me and I wanted to hit Javier. I was not an aggressive person at all and I found it weird that he would cause such a reaction with me.
There was too much going on in my head. I swayed, feeling dizzy and I grabbed Damon's arm. “I feel dizzy. Let's go. Forget about him. We need to drive the girls home.” I said while beads of sweat were forming on my forehead. I need to get out of here. Now. Damon looked Javier in his eyes and said in a hypnotic voice, “forget this moment. The last time you saw me was at the table with Melissa.” Javier blinked a few times and had a dazed expression. Damon turned to me and put his arm under me, supporting me. He held Kenna with his other arm and he half carried us out. When we left the club, I walked forward and took a lot of breaths of fresh air. The cool wind caressed my face and I let out a sigh of relief.
A taxi stopped in front of me. Jane and Rose both dived with their heads out the window and tried to exit the taxi through the windows. The taxi driver helped them open the door and they both fell out, onto the ground. “Where is James?” Kenna asked, joining our group. “Girls. Time to go home. I'll get you all home safe and sound.” Damon said in a very relaxing voice. He took his Maserati keys out of his pocket but a voice interrupted him. “Daaaaamoooonn! What are you doing with students? You're very naughty. Come back inside before rumours start circulating. Have a drink with me.” Melissa said, half stumbling. I actually hated that voice now. Melissa plastered herself onto Damon and Kenna pushed them away in her drunk mood. “Go. Teachers suck. I'm gonna throw up on you guys if you stay.” Kenna said, almost falling over.
Jane and Rose helped Kenna in the taxi and I had no choice but to follow them. I looked at Damon and he looked at me. Go home, Tris, he's your teacher. Don't go there. Damon took a few steps towards me but I shook my head, getting into the taxi. Rose jumped on my lap and Jane turned up the music. “Onto the next club!!” Rose screamed and a few people outside yelled with her and raised their hands. Damon looked at me with panic in his eyes but the taxi drove off, leaving him on the sidewalk with Melissa.
Rose fell asleep 2 minutes after the taxi drove off so I made sure everybody got home safe and sound, getting them all in their own bed and notifying their parents that their daughter was in bed. They all thanked me about a 100 times and then I got back into the taxi, who drove off. After 2 minutes he asked my address and he turned around to me. “We don't go there Miss, I can drop you off here and you can walk the rest.” He said to me, like it was totally normal to drop off a young girl at the side of the road. “You're joking, right? You're going to make me walk in the middle of the night?” I asked, not believing him. He stopped the car and automatically opened the door. “This is how far I'll go. Sorry miss.” He said, not sounding sorry at all.
I looked at him in the mirror but eventually gave up and got out of the car. He drove off and I was alone in the middle of the road with the forest on my right side and the city lights on the left. F*ck, I should've just stayed with Kenna. It was too late now though, the taxi was already out of sight. I checked my phone, wanting to call another taxi to pick me up and drive me back but I saw that it died. Of course. I let out a long sigh and started walking the long walk home.
