Chapter 190 Freedom Was Out Of Her Reach Now
"We're waiting for mom!" Peter climbed onto Veronica's shoulder, he was holding back tears from his manly eyes.
"We are obedience!" Cathy said tearfully.
"We don't cry!" Julie.
"Yes. We don't cry." Josh kept rolling tears in his eyes and fell at any time.
"Mom." Lily's little head was tucked into Veronica's arms.
"Well." Daniel was also in her arms, and the little kid was clutching on Veronica's clothes.
Veronica's heart was so soft that it drips. She felt so guilty.
"Mom is working overtime. I'm sorry that I didn't come back to see you soon." Veronica knew that must be the excuse Isabella was looking for and there was nothing else.
Veronica looked up and saw Isabella coming over. "They had to sit here and wait for you, so I followed them. It's a good thing you came back."
Veronica nodded and said nothing else, but her eyes fell on the six little ones lying tightly on their bodies.
When they saw the clothes they were clinging to, a string in their heart was plucked because they were grabbing Nick's clothes. After taking a bath in the evening, the six little ones fell asleep in rows, with round bellies bulging, soft and cute as they breathed, and the hearts of young girls were about to flood.
It's not enough for Veronica to sit by the sleeping matt.
Isabella said, "You're here and they sleep soundly."
"It's my fault." Veronica feels guilty.
"It's not what you want. You can't come back because the man won't let you go." Isabella understood.
Veronica asked, "Do you know where I am?" She hasn't even said it yet.
"I called you and they said he was Mr. Cage's housekeeper. You told me the man's last name was Cage." Isabella said.
The phone that Veronica wanted to answer was answered by Bob. Bob must have answered Lisa's phone, too.
'Why did Bob took my calls without permission? Is he Inspired by Nick?' Veronica thought.
"You don't have to worry. I knew you were there when you didn't come back." Isabella said, "I'll take care of the baby."
Veronica looked at Isabella and wanted to say something. However, she couldn't say anything, because Nick was so powerful that in his eyes, he was just an ant, Nick could easily trample her to death.
Freedom was out of her reach now.
"I know, Isabella. Thank you."
"If you say that again, I'm going to be angry."
Veronica smiled. "Yes, I won't say it next time."
The next day Veronica went to the drugstore before going to work. She bought an emergency contraceptive and mineral water. She then took the medicine before she felt at ease.
Of course, she would take contraceptives. Nick's fecundity was so terrible that if she gets pregnant again, the picture was simply unimaginable!
When she arrived at the company, Lisa rolled her eyes disgracefully as soon as he saw her. "Oh, you're working today? I thought you quit! Why are you too indifferent for me?"
"I'm sorry. It's my problem. I should be scolded. I'll never talk back!"
"It was a man who answered the phone. Who is it?" Lisa asked with a change of attitude and gossiping.
Veronica thought, sure enough, it was Bob who answered, so she responded, "It's my Uncle."
"Uncle? Your uncle called you Miss Parker?"
"He sure does." Veronica gave a dry cough.
Lisa said with no interest, "I hope next time you have such a thing, can you let me know in advance, this TV station can still find someone so rampant as you? Is there really a backstage to do things?"
"I'm sorry!"
"If you are going to be busy for two more days, the recording will be over. Don't let me lose the chain at the critical moment." Lisa said.
