Chapter 28 It's Up To Me
Chapter 28 It's Up To Me
"What's your way? It's up to me to decide what way you're allowed to take." Martin Hutt pointed his finger at himself arrogantly.
Veronica Parker knew that this person was holding a grudge against what happened last time, but it was a pity that this person had no skills, otherwise she would have scolded him and was promoted to the secretarial department.
"Would you please leave me alone?" Veronica asked.
Martin laughed back angrily, "Veronica, figure it out! I can make it impossible for you to live in the whole of Illinois! Of course, it's not too late for you to beg me."
"This is the KING Group. It's not up to you, is it?" Veronica asked amusingly.
"What I mean is what the person in charge of the KING Group means!" Martin said arrogantly.
Then, Kay Tours came over and said, "Minister Hutt, you're full of confidence!"
Martin was startled and he turned around. No one dared to be too presumptuous when they saw Kay. After all, he was a special assistant of Nick, and the top management depended on the impression of Kay Tours, not to mention Martin Hutt.
"No, I mean the person in charge of the KING Group means what I mean, no, I mean."
Kay interrupted his explanation, "I believe that by the morning notice, HR should know about this. Take care of yourself."
Martin looked a little flustered. How did he know that Veronica came to meet Nick Cage? Didn't she get fired? What is the meaning of this?
But he felt that he wouldn't do anything to him, would he? At least he was a distant relative of the Cage family.
Kay took Veronica to the highest authority floor.
The atmosphere in the elevator was negative. Kay was slightly behind the position. His eyes fell on the drooping face of Veronica, who did not seem to be very happy. If it were other people, they would be so happy that they'd jump three feet high!
At the moment, Kay would not believe that Veronica was just a girl who Mr. Cage was recently attracted to. She seemed to have had sex with him a long time ago. No, there must be something more.
Then he couldn't treat Veronica Parker like other employees.
Veronica didn't know what Kay was thinking. Anyway, she was in a bad mood and panicked. She turned around and asked, "What's the announcement?"
"No matter whether the position is high or low, the gossiping man will never be hired again."
Veronica was surprised, 'So ruthless? But Martin was a distant relative of Cage family, so it's not true that I won't be hired, is it?'
"It's not good for me to go and come again, isn't it? Are you sure you don't want to think about it?" Veronica asked again.
"That's not what I'm thinking about." Kay smiled apologetically.
Veronica understood what he meant, and it was not his scope of consideration, as he was just instructed by Nick.
"What exactly do you think Nick wants?" Veronica asked.
"I don't know about that, either."
'Don't you know that I glanced at him suspiciously? You are the special assistant of Nick Cage. Observing words and deeds is your specialty.'
"Veronica Parker, there's one thing I'm curious about," Kay said.
"What? You don't want to ask me why I have to hug my thighs to death in the company, are you?" Veronica guessed.
Kay looked at her admiringly. She was really smart. No wonder Mr. Cage stumbled.
"Indeed, please let me know? After all, it is hard to understand how many talented elites want to join the KING Group, but you leave in this way."
Veronica thought, 'If you knew about it, then my child will be exposed. The reason is clear at first glance!'
"Let me ask you, what is your deal?"
Kay raised his eyebrows and said, "Show your value in KING Group."
"But I don't want to! If I don't want to, why am I here? Isn't it a waste of time?"
"What is your deal, please?"
