Chapter 31 Mess

Veronica Parker wondered, "How did you know?"

Josephine answered, "I heard it from Martin Hutt."

"Aren't you afraid of being fired for gossiping like this?" Veronica Parker didn't forget what happened to Martin Hutt because of that.

"With you, I'm not afraid."

Veronica Parker asked, "Why?"

"No one dares to gossip about you because they know that you are different from others, otherwise they will be the one to leave, like what happened to Martin Hutt. It's absolutely safe to gossip with you! "

Veronica Parker was speechless.

Since she was dismissed and reinstated, this was the first example from the KING Group.

Not to mention the stuff she used to talk about in the company.

Veronica Parker's cellphone rang. She smiled apologetically and went somewhere else to answer the phone.

"Hello, Isabella?"

"I already have children. I'll go back first."

"Look after the children for me."

"Yes."

Veronica Parker breathed a sigh of relief, Nick Cage did not notice that something was wrong with the child.

Peter was like him but it was not that obvious especially if he wouldn't look carefully.

She thought that the child she saw was Nick Cage's son, she didn't expect the child to be his younger brother. There was such a big difference. The mother was really a mistress. The Cage family was so complicated.

"Veronica Parker." Suddenly, she heard Kay Tours' voice from behind her.

Veronica Parker put away her phone and looked at Kay Tour behind her. "What can I do for you?"

"Go and clean up the office of Mr. Cage."

"Me?" Veronica Parker pointed at herself "I thought it was Josephine who was assigned to do this?"

"Go and do it."

Veronica Parker didn't understand. Why did he ask her to go?

She did not know that in Kay Tours' mind, he was thinking that the mood of Mr. Cage throughout the day would be better if she would be the one to clean the office.

Kay Tours had to be with Mr. Cage all the time so he needed Mr. Cage, calm him. It was a kind of purgatory.

Kay Tours took her to the office and opened the door. When she went in, Kay Tours closed the door and went outside to do his work.

Earlier, Veronica Parker wanted to say a few words but when she saw the mess inside the office, she was rendered speechless. Her mouth was opened wide in shock. She was stunned at the amount of garbage inside.

Lots of wastes were on the ground, there were a lot of waste papers also. The pillows on the sofa were thrown everywhere and the cotton wool inside was pulled out. The documents on the coffee table were painted like her steel wire ball, the sofa was black and the pen was black but you would still be able to see the lines reflected.

Veronica Parker's mind seemed to have been ransacked by the wind. Nick Cage's office was too much! No wonder they were thrown out!

Nick Cage looked at her gloomily in the black seat behind his desk.

Veronica Parker hurriedly picked up the pillows on the floor and threw the scattered papers at the trash can.

She was able to return some of the things to their proper place but on the others, she would not be able to do anything for it.

That would include the lines drawn on the sofa and the steel ball drawn on the file.

Veronica Parker nervously took a document to his desk. "I've finished sorting out the rest of the documents, Mr. Cage. I'll type a new one. As for the strokes on the sofa, I'll wipe them with a leather cleaner. It was the work of children who didn't know what was right from wrong, please don't be too angry."

Since the mess was made by her own children, she had no choice but to humble herself in front of Mr. Cage.

"You don't think I should be angry?" Nick Cage asked, with a low, magnetic voice that would make people's nerves tense for a moment.

"Oh, no, have I done anything yet? If there is, you bring it up and I am sure that I will make you satisfied." Veronica Parker said.
