Chapter 378 Nick Cage To The Rescue
Chapter 378 Nick Cage To The Rescue
Then a deep low voice said, "I'm late."
Veronica Parker shook her body, turned her face, and looked up, looking blankly at the sudden appearance of Nick Cage in front of her.
'What was he doing here?'
'Was he invited by Tom Parker?'
'Could he invite someone as powerful as Nick Cage?'
There was no way! The only reasonable explanation there was, is that Nick Cage followed her!
As she thought of this, she didn't know why but it eased her fear of being around Tom Parker.
"Are you not satisfied with the big gift I gave you last time?" Nick Cage's intense eyes looked at Tom Parker coldly.
Though Tom Parker was afraid of the gift, he was forced to accept it. He subconsciously and respectfully said, "Mr. Cage, you misunderstood. I just wanted to catch up with my daughter. It was just a misunderstanding, that's all."
Veronica Parker looked at him coldly and caught up. 'Not a threat?'
"Do you agree with me?" Nick Cage was as cold as frost. "She's mine now."
Tom Parker was speechless when he was asked. He pushed his glasses and said, "I'm sorry."
"I heard you have invested in the capital recently. You are allowed to withdraw within 24 hours, otherwise, you will bear the consequences. " Nick Cage said, hugging Veronica Parker and turning away.
The rest of the ballroom dared not come near, they even huddled against the corner by the aura of Nick Cage.
They were the people who didn't know Nick Cage.
If you have asthma, you may have trouble breathing.
No one was even allowed to talk or chat.
The humiliated Tom Parker turned pale with anger, and his hand holding the glass trembled with excessive force.
This Nick Cage was deceiving people too much!
When they got into the car, they immediately drove away.
Veronica Parker sat by the door and broke the oppressive silence in the car. "What are you doing here?"
"Coincidence."
Veronica Parker looked at him suspiciously. How could it be a coincidence? Did he think she was stupid?
"Even without a tracker, it was easy to know where you are." Nick Cage said.
"Yes, the whole capital is yours. It's hard to know where I am." Veronica Parker said somewhat passively. "But there's one thing I'm curious about, what kind of gift did you give Tom?"
"Do you really want to know?"
"Never mind." Veronica Parker turned to look out the window. She wouldn't be threatened by him.
Forget about Tom Parker threatening her, now everyone is threatening her!
She would rather not know who her real mother was than be threatened by Tom Parker.
With a tight jaw, her face was pulled and she was forced to look at Nick Cage's vicious eyes.
A low, serious voice sprayed thin on her face with a scorching breath. "You can ask, but you have to tell me what you were doing here. Don't tell me you want to him as your father."
Without Veronica twitching her eyes, she said with a straight face, "Of course not. I have nothing to do with him anymore. It was just that sometimes I have to think about my grandma. He was the only son who said that he wanted to meet her. As a result, you can see, he was obviously trying to woo me. Now, as long as the people who are close to me know about my relationship with you, it's really a ghost that I don't want to climb to the top."
In the end, she did complain a little.
Veronica Parker didn't expect Nick Cage to show up when she came to the banquet hall, otherwise, she would have figured out the reason to deal with it early.
Fortunately, she thought of this when she was taken out of the ballroom by Nick Cage.
So now when asked, she really didn't panic for him not to find any loopholes.
"Was that all?"
"That's all it is to you, but to me, grandma is the most important person." Veronica Parker said.
"If you take someone like him, you're not afraid of your grandmother's displeasure? Huh?" Nick Cage clasped his fingers on her chin.
