Chapter 416 Caught Off Guard Again
Chapter 416 Caught Off Guard Again
"Have you seen the latest post of Rachel Hamilton?" One follower asked.
"Yes. But don't you find it strange? She posted it, yet later on, she deleted it. Isn't it just a picture of her with a coffee cup?" Another follower asked.
"No, someone noticed her watch, and they were asking whether it was a limited edition of international famous brands or watches. Some people speculated that Rachel Hamilton was in love, which means poking a confession!" Another person responded.
"Were you able to save the photo? Zoom it in so we can see what kind of watch it is." Another lady asked.
Several women in the Secretary Department gathered around to look at the pictures, and Kay Tours approached silently behind them. "What are you looking at? What's going on?"
When they heard his voice, they stood in a straight line and threw their mobile phones on the table.
Kay Tours scanned the phone screen, just as the photo was enlarged.
After taking the phone, Kay Tours inspected the photo. The woman's watch on her wrist caught his attention. "Where did the picture come from?" He asked himself a question.
He remembered that there was no promotional picture for the women's watch. "It was a selfie posted by Rachel Hamilton but she deleted it later on. However, it was captured already by her followers and forwarded it to several people." Josephine Informed Kay Tours.
Kay Tours smiled, gave them back their phones, and threw the papers in their hands. "Get the job done." He said.
"Yes Sir." The ladies responded in unison. They breathed a sigh of relief when Kay Tours left.
Veronica Parker and Nick Cage went back to the car after having their dinner.
Veronica Parker sat by the door, looking out of the window at the receding night scene.
She thought that maybe after dinner, Nick Cage would allow her to go home and rest.
She still couldn't believe that she was able to convince him to eat fried chicken with her at the chicken restaurant.
Veronica Parker was about to ask where they were going when he heard the muffled sound of the phone vibrating. It was Nick Cage's phone. She shut her mouth, thought to ask again later, and continued to look out of the window.
Nick Cage took out his mobile phone to check it, and his black eyes were suddenly cold when he saw the content and photos sent by Kay Tours.
Veronica Parker saw Nick Cage's reaction after checking his phone. She knew that it wasn't anything good and he immediately changed his mood.
Nick Cage quietly placed his phone back in his pocket.
With that, Veronica Parker looked away again.
"Driver, let's go back to the TV station." Nick Cage ordered.
"Yes." The driver heard his instruction.
Veronica Parker asked strangely, "Why are we going back to the TV station?"
"To get your watch." Nick Cage answered plainly.
Veronica Parker panicked. She froze again and didn't know what to say. She wondered why all of a sudden Nick Cage thought about the watch again.
"It's late already. I'll take care of it. Anyway, I have work again tomorrow." Veronica Parker looked for an excuse not to go.
"No problem. It's on the way before I send you home." Nick Cage said in an unfathomable tone.
Veronica Parker was helpless. She couldn't breathe. She felt her heart pounding and was caught off guard again by Nick Cage.
She couldn't think of an excuse or an escape plan to avoid him from figuring out her problem.
She thought too that Nick Cage must have felt something that's why he insisted.
The Rolls-Royce stopped outside the station.
The big logo of the TV station was dazzling at night. Anybody would notice it even from afar.
Veronica Parker was still speechless. She didn't know how to tell him that her watch was stolen earlier yet she has no idea who took it.
The door opened and she saw that Nick Cage wanted to get out of the car also. Veronica Parker hurriedly stopped him and grabbed his arm and said, "Please stay here."
He stared at her and wondered why she didn't want him to accompany her.
She saw the authoritative reaction on Nick Cage's face, so she released her hand from his arm and said, "There are still people inside the station. They shouldn't see us together. Why don't you just stay here and wait for me to come back?"
