Chapter 469 The Video
Chapter 469 The Video
Who knew such an insignificant job would be so hard to get.
But she won't give up.
Lisa came out of the bathroom and returned to their dinner table with a capricious looked on her face. Veronica Parker looked at her. "What took you so long?" Come on, eat. I don't think you've eaten much."
"I'm full enough, thank you. I don't want to look fat in the picture, but you can eat more. Your body looks fit, are you on a diet? Do you know a good way to lose weight?"
"No, it's just that I don't gain weight easily."
"Do you know what kind of people I hate the most?"
"What is it?"
"Those people who are eating so much and they are not gaining weight at all!"
Veronica Parker laughed at what she said.
At that time, her cell phone rang. She took out her phone and looked at the caller ID. "I'll just take this call, excuse me."
Veronica Parker got up and went outside to answer the phone. "What's the matter?"
"Have you finished eating?" A low voice of deterrence.
"It's only been more than half an hour since your last phone call, right?" Veronica Parker was stupefied. She needed time on her own. Nick Cage was watching her too closely.
Nick Cage was silent for a while and said, "Call me when you finish your dinner."
"All right." Veronica Parker knew that Nick Cage was coming to pick her up.
After dinner, Lisa said, "Where are you staying? I'll take you home."
"No, I'll wait for someone."
Lisa smiled meaningfully. "Then I'll go."
"Well, bye, take care. Thank you for today."
After Lisa left, Veronica Parker sat and she was sipping her tea slowly.
'It seems nice to be alone so quietly. I don't want to think about anything, and I'm in no hurry to call Nick.' Veronica Parker thought to herself.
Nick Cage would know that she chose to live in the North family, sooner or later.
'Tell Nick Cage?' She thought, 'Why should she tell him? Because he is powerful, and his paranoid possessive self?' She added.
No wonder why she didn't want to live in Winter Villa, she rather chose to live with the North family instead of being torn by Nick Cage.
Nick cage was so strong, and also terrible.
If she didn't obey him, the beast in him would come out.
Veronica Parker stared at the yellowish tea in the cup. If Nick Cage knew, how would she be torn apart? Was it the same as before? Or would it get worse?
Veronica Parker shuddered when she thought about it.
Veronica Parker did not dare to drink anything, she could only drink tea. Which could make her feel depressed and restless.
'Isabella, don't worry, I will definitely avenge you. A scum like Tom, I will never let him go! No one can stop every decision I make, including Nick.' Veronica Parker swore to herself.
The cell phone on the table rang.
Veronica Parker looked and sat up straight subconsciously when she looked at the number of Nick Cage.
She picked up her phone, Nick Cage sent her a video.
'What's this?' She asked herself.
Veronica Parker played the video, in which she was sitting at the dinner table silently drinking tea. The angle was the window next to her.
She was startled.
Veronica Parker turned around and looked out of the window. The domineering Rolls-Royce was parked not far away.
The car exudes a reserved luster under the street lights.
Veronica Parker was stupefied.
'When did Nick Cage get here?' She asked herself.
Veronica Parker got back to her senses. She picked up her cell phone and her bag. She left the restaurant and headed towards Nick Cage's car.
The bodyguard opened the car door and the aura that belonged to Nick Cage seeped out, which made Veronica Parker's body taut.
She hesitated to enter the car.
But she got in and the bodyguard closed the door.
The driver turned the steering wheel and drove steadily into the road.
The car was in silence. Veronica Parker was a little uneasy. Nick Cage must have been there for a while and he saw her sitting there before he decided to take a video of her.
'But what's she upset about?' Veronica Parker asked herself.
She didn't do anything wrong.
"What are you thinking?" Nick Cage's deep voice broke the silence in the car, and his black eyes were deep.
