She was about to slam the door, but his father was able to block it.

"Hold on, Veronica. I'm sorry I doubted you this time. This won't happen again," he said.

"Don't dare to put the screws on me again or else, I'm going to flip your lid," she apathetically said.

"Okay," he said, "Breakfast is ready. Please come down and eat before you get back to rest. Nick might be busy. Please let me know when he calls you back," he added.

She did not say a word and dismissively slammed the door.

She walked towards the bed and sat down to ease up on what just happened.

It was a good thing he did not pick up the call, but she was wondering why his phone was not with him.

She thought maybe he was too busy to take her call or he just totally ignored it.

At the Winter Villa.

Nick Cage was seated behind his desk while rubbing off his watch with his fingers.

Kay Tours was seated on the sofa while reporting the company affairs. He thought Nick Cage was not listening as he looked distracted by something else.

The ambiance changed when his phone vibrates. He took a glimpse of it, did not pick it up until it stopped.

The expression on his face gave Kay Tours a hint on who the caller was.

He was about to continue the report when the door swiftly opened. It was the children.

They were wearing hooded pajamas and immediately run towards their father.

"Who let you in?" Nick Cage asked the children. His voice was calm, but his face looked upset.

The children ignored their father's question. They continued running like a penguin towards him.

Peter climbed up to him, followed by Julie.

"Are you going to climb on my shoulders?" Nick Cage asked Peter.

Peter went wild and started to waggle his hands and legs, "I want mommy! She didn't go home again!"

Nick Cage shivered and in a cold voice he said, "Shut up!"

" I want mommy!" Peter was crying.

Nick Cage was silent. His eyebrows were crooked.

Cathy ran towards Kay Tours and asked, "Kay, do you where mommy is?"

Daniel and Josh looked at Kay Tours with tears in their eyes.

Kay Tours was able to maintain his rigorous expression and said, "Your mommy is working at this time. She will be happy to know all of you miss her so much. You shouldn't be sad because your daddy is here to take care of you."

The children looked at him as if they did not understand what he just said.

"Why don't you go to bed and let's talk about mommy again tomorrow?" he said.

"We don't want to sleep! We want mommy!" said Peter.

Nick Cage was silent while looking at his rowdy son.

"We want Mommy!" said Julie.

"Mommy!" Josh said as he burst into tears.

"Daddy, where does mommy work? Can we visit her?" asked Lily.
