Chapter 491 Words Left Unsaid
Chapter 491 Words Left Unsaid
Veronica Parker told Tom Parker that he didn't have to see Nick Cage.
But if she tried to get rid of Tom Parker, it would make her suspicious.
Veronica Parker could only try her luck.
She walked to the room with the wine in her arms. She observed the look and reaction of the bodyguard.
Until she stood at the door of the room, the bodyguard did nothing, as if he could not see her.
She knew it.
She looked at her right. Tom Parker was still there watching!
He smiled at her which made Veronica Parker sick to her stomach.
With a push to the door, the bodyguard went in.
When he went inside, Veronica Parker saw the people who were there. Nick Cage, Kay Tours, and several other men she did not know, including a woman who was sitting with him, pouring his wine.
Kay Tours sat down beside an enchanting woman. Nick Cage was not by his side, which made him seem a little out of place.
Veronica Parker went in slightly abruptly, which caused the people to look over.
In particular, the deep and sharp line of sight swept by Nick Cage made Veronica Parker feel guilty and uneasy.
Kay Tours said to her, "Veronica Parker, why don't you come here and join us?"
"Yes!" Veronica Parker answered. She placed the wine in front of Nick Cage. "I heard you were here. This wine is for you."
Nick Cage looked at her coldly, his black eyes were as cold as ice.
Everyone in the room was quiet, the movements were cautious, and the air became more suppressed.
Veronica Parker was nervous all over.
"This is the kind of wine Mr. Cage usually drinks here, and it's very expensive," Kay Tours said. "Veronica Parker, you really know Mr. Cage by heart."
Veronica Parker felt that her body was going to be riddled with holes by Nick Cage. "Then I'll open the wine for you!"
Witt brought her a bottle opener. Veronica Parker tried to open the bottle.
That was the first time Veronica Parker would open a wine bottle.
Especially in front of Nick Cage, her hands trembled with great effort.
With a loud sound, the cork of the bottle was finally taken out. The wine was quickly poured into the empty glass in front of Nick Cage and she handed it to him.
"Mr. Cage, let's have a drink?" Veronica Parker asked.
Nick Cage looked at her as cold as frost, not angry and intimidating. "Are you here to apologize?"
Veronica Parker was stunned. Nevertheless, she came in to show Tom Parker that it would be better to be kicked out by Nick Cage.
She was not expecting that he would ask that.
"Yes. Yeah." Veronica Parker did not want to mess with him and she would have to bear with it until the very end.
"What else?" Nick Cage asked.
All the nerves in Veronica Parker's brain jumped and the wine in her hand was rippled with instability.
What Nick Cage wanted was for her to take the initiative to say when to leave Tom Parker.
That was why she did not want to get close to Nick Cage.
As the air froze, other people were on pins and needles, wondering if they were supposed to listen to the next conversation.
She could not help but look at Kay Tours.
After all, he was Nick Cage's chief secretary! He knew more about the situation than anyone could!
However, Kay Tours just sat there and watched, giving no response at all.
"Get out!" Nick Cage's voice was calm, but it was frighteningly cold.
Veronica Parker opened her mouth and was about to leave.
She heard Kay Tours respectfully obeyed, "All right Mr. Cage, we'll be right out."
With that, he got up, winked at the others, and hurriedly left the room.
Veronica Parker just froze, panicked. What was Nick Cage doing?
"Are you going to stand up and just talk to me all the time?" Nick Cage asked unfathomably.
Veronica Parker glanced around at the sofa seat and chose to sit next to Nick Cage.
"Should I sit?"
Veronica Parker was in a daze, she could not understand him.
She could not stand nor sit, did he want her to squat in front of him?
Veronica Parker would not do it.
She put her glass in front of Nick Cage, leaned lazily on the back of the sofa, and said, "I thought you were waiting for me, Mr. Cage?, Can't we live in peace? I am living with my father now. Besides, I have not lived there for a while. Why are you so angry?"
