Chapter 60 No Mercy
Chapter 60 No Mercy
"Check her up for me!"
"I'm not going!" Veronica firmly refused that she is not going to the hospital. She doesn't have asthma at all. She can't be examined even if she was prescribed to go there.
"It's not up to you!" Nick Cage walked to the door, passed Veronica, grabbed her by the wrist, and forcefully led her out of the suite.
"Don't. Nick let me go!" Veronica struggled.
But how can her strength compete with Nick Cage? The more she struggled, the more painful her wrist felt as if the bones were about to be crushed.
Finally, she was dragged out of the suite by Nick Cage.
Tracy was shocked to see the scene.
'What is Nick Cage doing? What did this girl do to make Nick Cage so out of control?' Tracy Dora dared not to talk and immediately followed.
They headed to the ground floor. Outside the hotel, Nick's car is waiting. His black Maserati was in the dark color, expensive and intimidating to look at. The bodyguard stood upright with his hands behind his back.
"Let me go, I don't want to go to the hospital." Veronica Parker doesn't want to get in the car.
At this time, another car galloped along. The driver slammed on the brakes next to them, and the tires of the sports car made a loud screech and shrill sound on the road.
Then, they saw Toby Cage get out of the car and walked up to their way.
Veronica Parker didn't expect Toby to show up.
She wasn't sure if he came here on purpose, or if it was a pure coincidence.
So, is Toby here to turn the tables around?
Veronica's selfishness hoped that the emergence of Toby would work on her terms.
Sadly, it seemed that he's not there to save her.
"What a coincidence? I'm going to stay here at night." Toby's eyes swept across Nick's hand that clutched on Veronica's wrist. It seems that nothing happened between the two. Otherwise, they wouldn't come out in such a short time. His mood is unfathomable. He withdrew his sight but the expression etched on his face did not change. "What's the matter?" Where are you going? "
the moment that he finished his queries, Toby saw Tracy came out from behind.
'Tracy Dora? She's Nick's mother's attending physician. Why is she here?' Toby flashed his emotions vaguely and asked. "Are you going to the hospital?"
Nick only glanced at him coldly, then grabbed Veronica into the car, and he went in again. The door closed and the car drove away.
Dra. Tracy got into her own car and left.
Toby Cage looked into the distance and his face darkened.
Veronica sat by the door with a pale face and twinkling eyes, and there was a distinct red mark around her fair wrist. The moment that she was released from his brutal touch and was caused by the strength of Nick's grip.
The atmosphere in the car was extremely oppressive, and she felt at once the cold temperature drilled straight into her body.
"Once you get in my car, you can't get off. You have to go to the hospital for an examination. Even if you say that you don't have asthma, it's useless.
Nick will definitely look at the results, and she dared not think about what will happen next. Veronica was frightened of the moment that the results would appear in front of him.
Even with her head down, Veronica Parker could feel the terrible gloom in Nick Cage's eyes, as if she were in danger waiting to tear her up at any time.
When they arrived at the hospital, Veronica was forced to undergo various examinations while Nick Cage just sat and waited with well-trained bodyguards stood outside the room as if no one was allowed to enter.
Toby Cage followed and lurked in a nearby corner.
He doesn't understand what's going on.
'Examine Veronica? What's her problem?' Outside the hotel, he did not see any trauma on Veronica's body, nor did he see any internal injuries.
Tracy came over to finish a series of tests as quickly as possible and wanted to report to Nick Cage.
Nick lost patience and his voice was cold. "Just say it."
"No asthma."
Nick slowly raised his head and stepped back. Horror was evident in his eyes as he stared darkly at the eyes of Veronica behind Dra. Tracy. His gaze has no trace of temperature.
The atmosphere around them made people feel like they were thrown in an ice cellar in an instant.
