Chapter 676 Argument Between The Parker Family Members
Chapter 676 Argument Between The Parker Family Members
Veronica Parker has just received his phone call and she was ready to concentrate on the interview.
The phone vibrated again, this time it's a call.
She thought it was Nick Cage, but it was a string of strange numbers, who was it?
When the cute girl in the interview went down, Veronica called back, and the man's voice sank slightly, "I'm very busy!"
If she hadn't seen him in the hospital last night, Veronica wouldn't have known who it was.
"What can I do for you?"
"Come to the hospital."
Veronica asked, "Your mother's condition is not getting worse, is it? All right, I'll be there at noon."
Elton Parker hung up the phone call.
Veronica was a woman of her word. At noon, she finished her meal and went to the hospital during her lunch break.
When I entered the ward, I found that all four members of the North family were there.
Elton, who had changed into the clothes he had worn when he came over yesterday, sat on the sofa, raised his finger, and pointed out of bed, "Come on, what's going on?"
"Are you asking me? I don't know!"
"How come I don't believe it when you say that mother was hurt by a gangster?" Elton looked around at the other four people and said, "Does anyone know something and didn't tell me?"
Clare Parker said angrily, "I told you it was an accident. Why are you so excited?"
"Yes, Elton, if there is anything, will we not tell you?" Sarah North said.
"After all, capital is not a place we are familiar with, and I'm afraid some people will get carried away." Elton glanced at Tom and Veronica and was trying to convey a meaning of something. "Right, Veronica Parker?"
"Do you think that gangster is the one I called, don't you?" Veronica looked at him with a laugh.
Elton's silence was acquiescence, his pair of sharp eyes were looking straight at Veronica.
"In the final analysis, it was your mother who didn't want to call the police, not me!" Veronica said.
"Is it useful to call the police?" Elton asked rhetorically.
Veronica did not expect that Elton would suspect her and Nick Cage, that they had arranged it.
"What is your motive?" Veronica asked, "Is it for fun?"
"Why do you need me to say it?" Elton stuck to his suspicions.
Veronica got it and thought he was doing it for Tom. She's really wronged. She couldn't have done it for Tom for anyone.
"Elton, where are you thinking? It's completely impossible!" Tom commented.
Elton stood up, ignored Tom, walked up to Veronica, and looked at her badly. "It's best not to be found out by me, otherwise, even if you have Nick Cage to back you up, you'll have to peel off your skin," he said.
With that, he left the ward directly.
Veronica has no fear at all. She liked his cruelty. Otherwise, how can she see Tom peeling off his skin? She's indeed looking forward to it.
Elton already left them.
Veronica was not interested in staying there either. She turned around and left.
"I'll see you off!" Tom followed her out of the ward.
Veronica wouldn't really be so simple as to think that Tom was kind enough to send her out.
It's funny that he kept on playing like a father to her so 'politely'.
"Did Elton call you to come over? He didn't even tell us in advance!" Tom Parker said, paused, and asked, "Did he say anything to you over the phone?"
"What can I say?" Veronica Parker replied to him without being salty.
"No, I'm afraid he'll slander you. You don't have to worry about that. Elton is afraid to do that to you. He's just scaring you." Tom reassured her.
"With Nick, I'm not afraid of anything." Veronica Parker said this to Tom.
After all, her real purpose was not Elton.
The one who is really worried about was not her, but Tom. Won't she see it? Tom was afraid that his secret of Veronica not being his biological daughter would be revealed in front of her.
