Chapter 697 Caught In The Act

Nick stared at her side, he reached over her wrist and pulled her to his face.

Veronica sat obediently on his lap. The strong and hot touch drilled into her pants and skin was making her heart tense. She thought that she'd better be soft into a cat and do something bad about hitting a stone with an egg.

Nick raised his hand, squeezed her chin, and rubbed his fingers slightly, but he forced Veronica's consciousness to follow.

"If there is the desire and there is no ability, in the end, there is only a dead end." Nick's deep black eyes lock Veronica's weak eyes.

Veronica frowned slightly, she thought 'started the words, and now he said 'nothing'? Nick, what does that mean?' She was not very calm when she met Toby in the hospital just now. Now that Nick said that, she's felt a little creepy.

She kept on reminding herself that she has no way out!

"Or do you want me to check the hospital surveillance?" Nick's fingertips scratched the soft flesh of her chin slightly, he was flirting, and it was even more alarming.

Veronica opened her eyes, her breathing has calmed down, she bravely faces the challenge and said, "It's a coincidence that I met Toby. He came to the hospital to get painkillers. I was afraid you might misunderstand, so I let him go through the back door."
