Chapter 760 you've Never Change
Chapter 760 you've Never Change
In a flash of sight, the glass door was pushed open and the tall man came into the dessert shop!
At that moment, Veronica Parker seemed to reminisce her memory from the past again, and all of a sudden, she went back to the way she was waiting for Toby Cage.
"Don't you dare be late, Toby!"
"If I'm late, punish me!"
"Then give me a bite!"
"Come here." Someone was watching them.
"I hate it when someone is watching us."
Toby Cage also found her, Veronica Parker was busy keeping her head down. The last time she was kissed by him on the side of the road, now she ran into him again.
She said to herself, 'She shouldn't have come here to eat!'
Someone was sitting near to her and she didn't notice it.
When Veronica Parker roamed her eyes around, she met Toby Cage's heavy eyes and he said, "I told you, you can't treat me like a stranger."
"Do you still like dessert?"
Veronica Parker flashed her eyes and said, "I don't like it. I happened to recommend it to my colleagues, so I came to have a look."
"What do you recommend?"
"You don't like desserts?" Veronica Parker asked subconsciously.
After asking him, she wanted to gag herself.
Toby Cage looked at her with his rippling eyes, and the atmosphere between them suddenly became sticky.
"I have something to do. I have to go first." As soon as Veronica Parker got up, her arm was grabbed and pulled her down back to her seat. She pulled her hand back but Toby Cage didn't let go. She said in her low voice, "You! Let me go!"
"If you don't want to make too much noise here, just sit quietly."
Veronica Parker looked at the guests who had not found anything unusual in the store and sat down. "Can you let me go now?"
Toby Cage let go of her and beckoned for the waiter, "Just like her."
"Yes, just a moment, please!" The waiter went by.
Veronica Parker looked at Toby Cage who looked as usual and asked, "This store. It's none of your business, is it?"
"You don't think I set up a shop here on purpose to get close to you, do you?"
Veronica Parker was left speechless by his rhetorical question, which was indeed a bit embarrassing.
Besides, she not only gave birth to Nick Cage's six children but also had a miscarriage. Toby Cage should give up.
"I have already told you that we should treat each other as strangers. Why are you still sitting here?" Veronica Parker said it straightforwardly.
"It would be weird to eat dessert alone," Toby Cage said.
Veronica Parker's body froze. It was what she said to Toby Cage before.
"Did you see someone eating dessert alone in the store?" Toby Cage added.
Veronica Parker looked up, and sure enough, the customers had their pair. Either two women, or a man and a woman.
Toby Cage's words were unintentional, but she was too sensitive.
'What kind of dessert is this man coming to eat?' She asked herself.
Now not only Veronica Parker was uncomfortable, but also Leo who was waiting outside.
Veronica Parker checked the other street around the corner. For fear of seeing the black Rolls-Royce, if it was there, then she would be the first to die.
'Miss Parker, hurry up and go! I'm working with my head in my hand! The last time I saw these two people kissing, now they eat ambiguous desserts together! Can you lay low? I'm so scared! If Mr. Cage knows about this, we are doomed!' Leo who was outside said to himself.
Veronica Parker took the last bite of her dessert into her mouth and said, "I'm leaving!"
With that, she couldn't wait to get out of the dessert shop.
Toby Cage wiped the corner of his mouth. He got up and followed her. He pulled Veronica Parker's arm and dragged her to the bathroom inside.
"What the! Toby!"
They were inside the bathroom. Toby Cage locked the door and he stared at Veronica Parker in front of him.
Veronica Parker's breathing was unstable and her chest trembled. "Are you crazy?"
Toby Cage raised his hand and slid the back of his hand gently across Veronica Parker's cheek. "You're the same as before, and you've never changed."
