Chapter 845 Blame
Chapter 845 Blame
Veronica huddled in the corner of the window on the bed. She was holding a pillow in her arms, her head was buried and she was motionless.
Nick clapped his hands on her side, his patient body was taut and his voice was suppressed and hoarse. "I'll go back to Winter Villa," he said.
He stared at her but Veronica didn't have even the slightest reaction.
"Call me if you need anything." Nick hesitated for several minutes before he turned away. Veronica began to react when the door closed, she just buried her face deeper and clutched her fingers to the pillow and turning white.
It could be seen from her trembling shoulders that she was crying bitterly.
He drove his Rolls Royce into Winter Villa.
Nick got out of the car. Bob greeted him and was about to speak when he saw Nick's unusual face and was stunned.
"Where are the children?" Nick asked.
The six little ones ran out of the hall.
"Mom!"
"Mom is back!"
"Wow! Mom!"
"Mom!"
"I want Mom!"
"Mom! Yes! "
However, when they were all out, they saw the tall black figure in front of them. The children stopped and the six little ones looked at him.
Peter, who was the first one to run said, "Daddy, why didn't you bring Mom back?"
"Daddy, is Mom in the car?" Cathy asked.
"No," Nick said. "Mom is working."
Peter stamped his foot angrily. "I hate Mom's work! I'm going to blow up the TV station!"
"Did you wash your hands?" Nick asked.
"It has been washed." Bob next to him came to his senses and replied.
"Let's eat." Nick turned and went to the restaurant.
Peter only blinked and looked at Nick, in the direction of the restaurant with a questioning face.
Then, he followed with his short legs.
The servant carried them into their seats one by one, each of them had their own seat.
Peter looked at his Daddy thoughtfully.
Nick took out his phone, put it near him, and began to eat.
The six little children also ate their meals obediently and did not make a fuss.
In the apartment, someone knocked at the door.
Veronica's position in the corner hasn't changed since Nick left.
She heard a knock on the door.
The servant came in and saw the frowning woman on the bed and said weakly, "Miss Parker, shall we eat? If you will not eat, Mr. Cage will blame me. "
Veronica moved and raised her face. Her eyes were clear, but she was in no mood. "Why will he blame you?"
The servant said, "Mr. Cage told me to call him. "
Call? If she would not eat he would come back to force her to eat?
The last thing Veronica wanted to see right at that moment was Nick so she had to eat and avoid giving Nick a chance, right?
"I'll just eat," Veronica said.
"All right, I'll get it ready right away!" The servant breathed a sigh of relief and walked out of the room.
Veronica thought that the servant was very nervous. What would happen if she doesn't eat? There was a look of uneasiness on her face.
There was no point in making things difficult for servants.
And only if she would obey obediently, could she let Nick's guard down and be fit to run away.
Veronica sat at the table and the servant laid out a table of dishes but she only picked up the dish in front of her and stuffed it into her mouth mechanically.
No matter how good the food was, it tasted like wax to her.
She just ate a little bit and then she went back to her room.
As soon as the door was closed, the cell phone in her bag rang.
She stood there in a daze. Who was it?
It won't be Nick Cage, because he knew very well that she won't talk to him.
