Chapter 90 Delayed Departure
Chapter 90 Delayed Departure
Lily and Daniel cheered, "Whoo!"
Across the phone, Veronica Parker imagined the happy look on their faces. "Then listen to your grandma and be good, you will see Mom on the plane, all right?"
"Good!" The six little ones said in unison.
Veronica left the company as soon as she got off work and took a taxi directly to the airport.
She told Isabella that if she didn't call her after three hours, she didn't succeed in leaving, so she needed her to coax the children to rest.
Veronica sat in the car. She was looking out the window and she felt nervous and amused.
She was feeling like a spy.
If the opponent was someone like Nick Cage, it was bad luck.
But it didn't mean that she was going to die.
Veronica felt that she always had a glimmer of hope.
Veronica arrived at the airport. She paid the fare and it made her feel bad. She went into the airport lobby to change her ticket.
While she was waiting in line, Veronica Parker felt that there was something wrong but if she would look around, there was nothing unusual.
She was scaring herself.
She got the ticket and went to the security check immediately.
Veronica Parker was still nervous when she went through the security check. Her clear eyes were always looking around warily at people.
Especially those who wore black suits. It would make her heartbeat miss half a beat. After all, Nick and his people would always wear black suits.
There was no problem and her heartbeat returned to normal.
If she would pass the security check, she would be safe.
There were five or six people in front of Veronica who were also as anxious as she was.
Finally, it was her turn, and the security inspector looked at Veronica's nervous face. He checked her twice as long compared to others.
After the inspection there was no problem at all, she would be released.
After the security check, Veronica finally relaxed.
Nick Cage and his men didn't show up.
It took a while for her to check-in. After the check-in was over, she boarded the plane and sat down. Veronica called Isabella and told her that she has boarded the plane. She told her that she would call again when she gets off the plane.
After she made the phone call, she turned her mobile phone into flight mode.
She looked at the time and waited patiently for the plane to take off.
Veronica looked out of the window, she was not coming back.
As for Chloe Bowen, she would be able to live a good life with or without her daughter. She also had a son.
As for Nick Cage, she ran away and disappeared. After a long time, she was just a butterfly that suddenly flew into his life and left.
"Why aren't we starting to take-off?" Someone asked.
It was only then that Veronica Parker noticed that the departure time has passed. Was there anyone else who was not inside the plane yet? Was it possible to be a distinguished business class passenger?
"It must be that some rich man has not arrived yet. I can't believe we have a plane of people waiting for his arrival."
"Isn't that what it is these days? Forget it, just wait."
Some people would be dissatisfied, waiting like this and the whispers were getting louder and louder.
Just in time, the captain's voice sounded, "Dear passengers, due to a sudden incident, the plane's departure will be delayed. I am very sorry. Although, the waiting time won't be too long. Thank you for your understanding!"
"What happened all of a sudden? Why didn't you say earlier? "
"It won't be long they said. How long is it? Do we have to wait or we could get off the plane?"
No one would get off the plane for a delay of half an hour or make a fuss. It was common for planes to take off late but what was even more exaggerated was that they had to wait for eight hours.
It was rare to wait on a plane like this.
