Nicholas stared at the rows of Kimberly's photos on his cellphone. The picture he took secretly while they were traveling to London the other day. Quite a lot that he immortalized. From the pose of just smiling, pouting, to laughing out loud. The woman is indeed beautiful in every style she shows.
Diving into every image stored on the cellphone, Nicholas smiled subconsciously. He had to admit it, and the woman brought a significant change in him. She was giving color and even fresh air when his heart was barren from the deep wound that Briana had inscribed earlier. Nicholas closed his eyes for a long time. Trying to remember the memory of the first time they met. The accidental incident when Kimberly unknowingly bumped into Nicholas caused them to fall on the floor. Then Nicholas's memory focused on the first time Kimberly hugged him. The woman was frightened because she was trapped in the archive building when the lights went out. Perhaps from it all, the memory of stealing Kimberly's first kiss was the most memorable.
Ah, guess that's not all, considering the too many sweet memories Nicholas had spent with the brunette.
"You are the most special. Even if you're not my type, you can't deny that you stole my heart, Kimmy.."
While Nicholas was deep in thought, there was a knock on his study door. The thing he remembered when he regained consciousness was Kimberly. Could it be the woman who knocked on the door? He quickly answered and ordered me to come in immediately to determine who was outside. However, his hopes were dashed. It was Keyra who had been knocking on his office door.
The woman walked in a while carrying some folders to be handed over.
"Here are some financial reports that Mr. Nicholas asked for, which can be checked and signed immediately." Keyra handed the map she brought to Nicholas. "Oh yes, there is also a resignation letter Kimberly gave to me," said the woman later.
Nicholas's brow furrowed deeply. He had to realize that Kimberly had left him. So what should he do now?
Seeing her boss, who just sat in silence, Keyra again reprimanded. The man did not accept the map he gave him.
"Mister..." Kira called softly.
Nicholas was taken aback. Then grabbed what Keyra thrust.
"Thanks, I'll check later."
Without much to say, Keyra chose to hurry to leave immediately. However, just as he had just turned around, he heard Nicholas call his name again.
"Key...."
Keyra turned around and answered. "Yes, Sir. Do you need anything?"
Nicholas was silent for a moment, took a deep breath, and then answered. "Do you know where Kimberly lives now?"
Keyra gave a smile. Understand how Nicholas's Feeling, now. "I used to know where her house was. But, since moving somewhere, I never play around in the new place again."
All this time, Keyra knew that ever since Kimberly left her house, that woman had lived under the same roof with Nicholas. After her departure yesterday, she didn't even say where she was going. It could be, Kimberly returned home to her extended family. But Kira chose silence. He She her best friend needed privacy now.
Nicholas took another breath after hearing Keyra's answer. It seemed he had to find out for himself where Kimberly was.
"Then thank you."
Not long after Keyra left, the laziest person Nicholas met came over. Without being invited, the man immediately sat right in front of Nicholas.
"Where's Kimberly? I see she's not at her desk. Could my guess be right?" Edward asked with a probing look.
"Kimberly is resigning," Nicholas replied disinterestedly.
In the next second, a loud laugh erupted from Edward's mouth. The man even gave Nicholas a mocking expression.
"I'm guessing you must be very sorry by now." The laughter hadn't left Edward's lips yet.
Nicholas sighed lazily. "Ed, I'm lazy to serve you. My mind is in a mess right now."
"Oh, come on, Nicholas Junior Alistair. What's so hard about admitting? That's why, if I'm a professional giving advice, please listen." "Exaggerated!"
Nicholas chuckled. "Please, Ed. You'd better get out of my sight," Nicholas begged then. Edward kept a smile on his face.
"Sorry, I can't comply with your request, young master. I came here because I wanted to pick you up for a meeting together outside the office."
Nicholas growled in annoyance, then next chose to get up. Without a word, the man left the room a moment later, leaving Edward, who was still sitting quietly in his position.

Marco and Kimberly are now in the car on the way from home to the hospital. After Kimberly's condition improved yesterday, the woman decided to return to her house immediately. The place she had left since she clashed with Arthur for the past few years. This afternoon, Arthur was scheduled to go home by the doctor. That's why Kimberly and Marco rushed to pick them up. Along the way to the hospital, they discussed many things. There is no longer a sense of awkwardness, anger, and even hostility. They talked like old friends who had just met.
"So until this moment, Nicholas didn't know who you were?" Marco asked as he drove the car. Kimberly shook her head.
"Not at all. But even if he knows my family background, in the end, it doesn't matter now," Kimberly replied casually.
"And he also doesn't know your current state of health?"
Kimberly shook her head once more. "Not only him, almost everyone doesn't know about my current condition."
Marco nodded in understanding. "I think you love him a lot, Kimmy. I even heard you two got engaged in England, right?" Marco chimed in with lots of questions. This time Kimberly took a deep breath. I don't know when hearing Nicholas's name made him a heartthrob. The man's actions yesterday in his office caused Kimberly's heartache.
"Let's not talk about Nicholas anymore." Kimberly's gaze turned sad. Marco even realized that. He grabbed Kimberly's fingers and squeezed them gently with his free left hand.
"I'm sorry, Kimmy. I promise I won't discuss that man again."
They then chose to be silent until they arrived at the hospital. In his room, Arthur looked much fitter. The old man sat on the sofa while reading the magazine prepared for him. Not long after, Kimberly and Marco entered and were immediately greeted.
"Opa..."
Kimberly greeted then threw her arms around Arthur. The middle-aged man immediately got up and welcomed the hug from his granddaughter.
The granddaughter he had missed so much. "Please forgive me, grandpa." begged the woman, then unraveled her arms.
"Forget it. Now, the important thing is that you go home and promise not to leave grandpa again."
Kimberly nodded. "I'll promises never to leave grandpa again," the woman said earnestly. It was enough for him to venture out there.
After all, there was no longer any place for him to take shelter. Marco, who had been watching, also smiled. He hadn't seen a sight like this in a long time. He is happy too. I even hope that this happiness doesn't go away quickly. However, at the same time, Marco remembered the pain that Kimberly had. For a moment, he was confused about how to tell Arthur considering the old man's condition was not stable enough.
But on the other hand, Kimberly must immediately receive treatment and action so that her illness can be handled quickly. Marco took a deep breath and then let it out slowly. He considered when was the right time to tell Arthur about Kimberly's illness. Not at this time.

"So, Mr. Yamamoto, when did you start investing in our company?" Edward asked one of their Clients at the meeting this afternoon. The client looked thoughtful. He kept rubbing his chin over and over again. His forehead even furrowed as if he was deep in thought.
"Mr. Nicholas, I want to invest quite a lot of money in your company. But can you build a shopping center in the Central Park area?" The client returned the question. Edward glared sharply.
"But it's a vulnerable area. How can we risk building---"
"Yes," cut in Nicholas. "We're ready to build it there. Mr. Edward will take all the possibilities into account later. We'll give you a report on all the possibilities." Nicholas spoke so confidently.
Edward stared at him in disbelief. "Ah, I like doing business with you, Mr. Nicholas. You are so optimistic. Not like the colleague next to you." Yamamoto deliberately mocked Edward.
Nicholas smirked. "Don't worry, whatever it is, we will make it happen as long as the investment you give us is also comparable."
Yamamoto nodded. Then stretched out his right hand for a handshake. "Deal. I'll sign it right now." Nicholas smiled with satisfaction because this time, the meeting was fruitful. Although at first, it was a bit difficult to convince. But in the end, the client gave in and agreed to cooperate.
"You're crazy, Nicholas!" Edward pouted when Yamamoto left, leaving the two of them still sitting and choosing to sip the caramel macchiato on the restaurant table.
"Why be crazy? Instead of being grateful that the Japanese man invested his wealth."
Edward snorted in annoyance.
"Yeah, that means you will make me work overtime on this job. After all, Central Park is disputed land. How do you build a mall in a troubled place."
Nicholas shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "That's your business. I'm sure you can sort this all out. What's the point of being smart when you can't get a job like this done." then the man took another sip of the drink. Enjoy finished drinking, suddenly a man passed by and reprimanded him. Someone that Nicholas was familiar with and quite familiar with.
"Mr. Nicholas..." said the man. Nicholas looked up.
"Doctor..." the man then got up and replied to the man's greeting, who had been his doctor.
"Having lunch outside?"
Nicholas nodded. "Yeah, I just finished a meeting and had lunch outside."
"How is Miss Kimberly?" the doctor suddenly discussed Kimberly.
Nicholas smiled awkwardly. "Kimberly is fine, doc."
It was the doctor's turn to nod in understanding. "Thank God. Did Miss Kimberly make an appointment with the oncologist as I suggested yesterday?"
Nicholas looked questioningly.
"What you mean, doctor?"
"Yes, I advise your fiancé to have surgery immediately. For that, he must make an appointment with an oncologist immediately. Remember! Sbe has to undergo surgery quickly."
Nicholas gasped. He was confused to understand the meaning of the doctor's words in front of him. Operation? Oncologist? What's wrong with Kimberly?
"If I may ask, what operation will Kimberly undergo?" asked Nicholas, confused. "Your fiance didn't tell?" investigate the doctor. Nicholas just shook his head slowly. Feeling bad now. "Your fiancé will have to undergo surgery to treat his ovarian cancer." Nicholas gasped in surprise. He even doubted what the doctor had just said. Did Kimberly get cancer? And she didn't say anything to him. Oh my God, Kimberly. You make me even more sinful. Do I not mean enough to you that you hide this all. "Can Kimberly's illness be cured?" Nicholas asked hesitantly.
The doctor nodded. "Yes, Miss Kimberly's disease is still very early stage. That's why surgery must be done immediately to prevent the cancer cells from spreading to other vital organs. I hope you remind Miss Kimberly to immediately schedule an operation before it's too late, considering all the risks that can occur." after explaining at length, the doctor chose to say goodbye and left Nicholas, who was frozen—thinking of how many stupid things he had done.
