You'll be Mine
All the guests continued to congratulate Nicholas and Kimberly. Everyone seemed to be immersed in the euphoria of happiness from this lavish engagement party.
While all the invitees were busy eating their meals, Nicholas, watching Cassandra relax, immediately approached and pulled her to the edge of the garden. "Mama owes me an explanation," whispered Nicholas.
Cassandra chuckled softly. He was keeping her face to keep it looking elegant. "Oh come on, son. Just enjoy your party first. When everything is finished, Mama promises to explain everything," Nicholas shook his head in disbelief at his own mother's behaviour.
While in a different position, Kimberly also looked confused. The woman chose to remain silent but kept her face looking happy. Yes, although he did feel surprised and, of course, happy. But after all that, he hadn't even said a word to Nicholas. The two of them stared at each other more without speaking. After the guests go home one by one, Cassandra keeps her promise. He invited Kimberly and Nicholas to have a serious talk. Don't forget Arthur and Marco too. They were there too. Do you think that old fart wants to be left alone? Certainly not.
"So who's going to explain all this?" asked Nicholas impatiently. He was sitting side by side with Kimberly in Alistair's living room.
Cassandra smiled at everyone and then spoke.
"Actually, Mama also doesn't know where to start. The point is, choosing between AlpaBeta and Kimberly is an agreement between Mama and Mr. Arthur," Cassandra said casually.
"Gosh, Mom." cried Nicholas in disbelief. "So what made Kimberly and I separated were you?" Nicholas shook his head in disbelief.
"Why do you want to play with us?" Arthur, who was initially silent, felt hot and sneered. "You little brat. You should thank your mother. If she doesn't beg me, do you think I'll approve of your relationship with my grandson?"
"Grandpa!" Kimberly shouted. Now it was the woman's turn to speak.
"Opa also had a big hand in the separation between the two of us," Kimberly protested. Arthur snorted in his position.
"Grandpa just did what he was supposed to do. Who else would take care of you if not Grandpa?"
"B-but I sincerely love Kimberly, grandpa," said Nicholas. It made Arthur glare at him.
"I'm not officially your Grandpa, you don't need to be intimate with me. Besides, if you're sincere, how could you tell other people to spy on my grandson. Accusing Marco of Kimberly's lover to call him a slut. Did your parents never teach you manners? ?" Arthur's eyes gleamed sharply. His tone was emotional. Marco, sitting next to him, gently patted the old man's back to calm his anger.
Seeing Arthur, who was agitated, Nicholas quickly spoke again. "I'm sorry. Maybe this is the umpteenth apology. I was foolish for having doubted Kimberly. Once again I sincerely apologize and ask for the blessing of Mr. Arthur to agree to my relationship with Kimberly." Arthur glanced down at Nicholas. Even though he knew Nicholas was a good man, he still wanted to teach his future grandson-in-law a lesson first.
"What can you do to convince me to approve of your relationship?" Arthur asked.
Nicholas took a deep breath. Kimberly and Marco were right, and this old man was not the type to trust easily. "I can't promise many things. What I can do is try to keep Kimberly happy. Until there's no end for her to be sad. If one day she cries, I'll make sure it's a happy cry." Arthur laughed scornfully. He still doubted the promise that Nicholas had said.
"If you are proven to have hurt Kimberly, what punishment should I give you?" Instead of being scared or offended, Nicholas smiled at Arthur's question. He understood that the old man loved his grandson very much. That's why so many concerns are shown. "If I hurt Kimberly. You can take it back from me. But I assure you it will never happen."
Arthur smiled. For the first time, she smiled sincerely at Nicholas. Maybe it was time he let Kimberly go to the man sitting right in front of him. Now, there was no longer any doubt in his heart. He was sure that Nicholas would make Kimberly happy. "Fine, I approve of your relationship," Arthur muttered.
Suddenly everyone in the living room smiled, including Nicholas and Kimberly.
"But..." Arthur resumed his sentence. Everyone was anxiously waiting for what the old man would say. "...promise me, you won't take Kimberly far. You know I'm alone now. When I die, please take my grandson wherever you go. But for now, I'm the one who begs you."
Nicholas smiled with relief. "Geez, what was I thinking. Of course. I'm not taking Kimberly far. Besides, I'm planning on getting back to taking care of AlpaBeta."
Hearing that, Arthur shook his head hard. "There's no need to go to AlpaBeta. When you officially become Kimberly's husband, I ask you directly to continue the Sanjaya family business."
Nicholas gasped at Arthur's words. "Kimberly's husband?" He looked astonished.
Seeing that, Arthur narrowed his eyes. "Why? You don't want to be Kimberly's husband?"
"No, it's just that I didn't expect the response Mr. Arthur gave."
"If you want to know, your parents and I have even prepared a wedding for the two of you," Arthur said arrogantly.
Nicholas was made even more dumbfounded. Not to mention lost the sense of surprise due to the sudden engagement. Now everyone is talking about marriage. They're not crazy, are they? "Wedding?"
Arthur nodded. "Yes, your wedding one week from now."
"WHAT!"
Nicholas and Kimberly together screamed in disbelief.
"Gosh, what exactly are you planning behind us? Look, we're both like stupid brats who don't know what to do now." this time, Kimberly spoke. Again Arthur answered.
After taking a sip of the hot tea before him, he responded again. "Never mind, there's no need to be surprised. This is what you guys want anyway, right? United? That's why we've united you in a more sacred bond."
Arthur rose from his seat, followed by Marco. "Now, get ready, tomorrow morning we will return to prepare everything. Besides, you two should be happy. You are ungrateful." After finishing that sentence, Arthur sauntered away. Cassandra and her husband followed.

Nicholas grabbed Kimberly's wrist and led her to follow her to the room. There, he asked Kimberly to sit on the balcony chair, which was directly facing the view of the Tower of London from a distance. They were both silent for a long time.
As awkward as having been separated before. It wasn't long before Nicholas took the initiative to open a conversation. "You are beautiful today." Those stupid small talks were the first to come out of Nicholas's lips. He was a lousy man like Edward had once said.
Kimberly nodded slowly. "Thank you. I've always been beautiful from the start," she replied, to make Nicholas smile. "I miss you. I miss you so much." Nicholas was telling the truth.
"If you miss, why don't you contact me? If you love, why don't you fight for me?"
Nicholas smiled. Kimberly must have been annoyed with the decision she made. All the same. He must be upset with Nicholas's attitude that it seemed like he didn't want to try more. Even though behind it all, he has a strong reason, and he can't break it. "I'm sure you've heard for yourself what the reason was that I was forced to leave you," Nicholas whispered.
Kimberly shook his head. "Just pretend I don't know and want to hear it straight from your mouth." Nicholas grabbed one of Kimberly's wrists and held them tightly. "I love you, Kimberly. And I'll never get tired of saying that. Sorry if my decision hurt you. I'm just trying to be realistic. can sleep well. It's a different story when I chose you, there are thousands of people who risk their fate just because of my love story. I can't be selfish like that."
Kimberly looked at Nicholas in amazement. Hearing the man's confession directly from his mouth made Kimberly even more sure of her choice. That Nicholas was the right man to be her companion.
Let alone protecting Kimberly, the man only thought about the fate of the crowd. "I trust you. Whatever comes out of your mouth." Hearing those words, Nicholas smiled too. The cold night made Nicholas pull Kimberly's body into his arms. He hugged her tightly as if he didn't want to be separated anymore. "I'd go crazy if I actually lost you," Nicholas whispered.
Kimberly lifted her head, staring into Nicholas's brown eyes. "You think I'm not crazy to think you're getting engaged to another woman? I was even planning to kidnap you or even mess up the party your parents had planned. Luckily Marco always reminds me not to go crazy."
Nicholas laughed at Kimberly's story. Then he gently caressed her cheek. Then kissed him slowly. "I can't even imagine losing you."
When Kimberly was about to answer, Nicholas hastily grabbed Kimberly's face and pressed his lips to hers. Sip and sip slowly. She gives a deep kiss then turns strong. They were both lulled for a long time until the arrival of someone suddenly interfered.
"Oh my, Nicholas, Kimberly!" someone's scream forced them to part their previously joined lips. With a look full of anger, Nicholas replied. "Shit!" Nicholas cursed loudly. "Why do you always bother me Edward?"
Instead of regretting it, the man laughed loudly. "It's your fault, why the door is not locked. I've knocked and called your name more than five times. You didn't answer at all, Nicholas. That's what made me curious and went straight in. Turns out you guys are actually making out here."
Kimberly, who was embarrassed, could only look down and buried her face in Nicholas's chest. "Besides, hold on a little. Soon you will also be husband and wife. Do as much as you want when it's official." Edward sneered again.
Still, with a flash of anger, Nicholas asked again. "Why are you looking for me to the room?" "Both of you have been asked to come down immediately. It looks like there will be serious discussions about your marriage." Nicholas broke his embrace, stood up, and gently tugged Kimberly's wrist. He was taking the woman away just like that, ignoring the existence of Edward, who was standing in his room. Damn Nicholas.
