Chapter 35 Detective D

D's PoV

Gosh that crushing feeling again! Wait what? I opened my eyes to see my charming handsome husband sleeping almost on me. Am I dreaming? I rubbed my eyes to make sure what and where I am? WHAAAAT? How the hell did I end up in our room? I remember sleeping in the room downstairs. Alarmed by the fact that I am sleeping in our room beside my hubby, I felt all scared. I got up without waking him and ran out to see Ravi.

My hubby is unbelievable. He carried me all the way up to our room and he says that he did that for uncle's sake. He sure knows how to hurt me. I had this bubble of happiness growing when he said that he carried me to our room, and it burst when he reasoned it. He says I'm making a scene? How dare he? I am already upset with him and he adds fuel to my rage with his words.

"Oh, so now you think I slept alone to make a scene? Alright, Why do you think I did that?"

I'm not going to listen to all the bullshit he has to say.

"Who knows, your lover boy might call you. You might need privacy to talk with him which you won't get if you sleep in here." he said, turning away from me.

He said WHAT? He is a dead meat!!!

I pushed him down on the bed. It's painful to shout at someone by looking up, you know. And this alien is at my eye level when he is sitting.

"Shut up Rishi! You are crossing your limits. It's you who has a lover girl. It's you who avoids me for her. It's you who still have contact with her even though you are married to me. It's you who went out with her in spite of knowing we are about to go out together. It's you who has all the complications. Not me. And you say I have a lover boy? How dare you talk about me like that? I don’t have to prove myself to you. But just let me tell you this. I never had anyone like you say before. But I do now. And I hate you for blaming me on such a low note."

He is ridiculous. He is dumb. He is terrible. He is everything except goodness. Dumbass!

He looks shell shocked. I don’t care. I went out to carry on with my day.How dare he accuse me of such a thing!? I saw him yesterday with Smirthi when we were about to leave the exhibition.

Calm down D! He was not happy with her yesterday and they were coming out of the hospital. Don't just shout at him D! He needs time, remember?

Please D! He was responding to your every stupid behavior. He never raised his voice against you. He is disturbed with Smirthi's sudden appearance. Give him time to sort it out. Or help him sort it out.

Are you out of your mind? He broke my phone before Smirthi's arrival.

Oops! Forgot about that. He might have had some business tension. Remember you didn’t even see him for 2 days?

Why the hell do you always talk like he did no wrong?

Because You love him, D. You love him like crazy. You always find something to hold on to.

But I also think that he loves her. That is why he didn’t send her away.

GOD! Why is he so complicated? Why the hell is he not ready to talk? Or at least let me talk?

Hehe D! The time you guys are together, either he talks like you have nothing to say or he kisses you like there is no tomorrow or he barks at you. Where is the time to talk?

Go away, Mindy! You are not helping. Why were they at the hospital yesterday? Is she pregnant with Rishi's baby? OMG NO NO NO NO NO...

Then work for it, D. Staying at home will not help you win him. He is in Coimbatore. How the hell he did his schooling in Trichy? Is your crush really him? Are you sure you didn’t mistake him for someone else?

God Mindy, Are you for real? You are asking me this dumb question after almost a month of our wedding? What is your problem now? He is my first crush. I'm damn sure.

Come on D. Display the facts. Ravi said Rishi is 27yrs old. But he was in 12th grade when you were in 8th grade. Which means he should be 4yrs elder to you. How the hell is he 6yrs older now?

Wait what? You are right mindy. I should investigate. But he is my man Mindy. I know that much for sure. Those eyes, mindy. I can never forget them. I have to know about him. I have to know about Smirthi. I have to know about their relationship. I have to know the link between Karthik's company and Rishi, Smirthi's relationship. I need answers.

If I can prove her guilty then she will go away leaving my husband to myself. Or if she had valid reasons then I can at least try talking to him about whom he cares for. I mean if he still opts her then I should leave.

No, I can't leave him. That’s not going to happen. I want him to myself. He is mine. I went to Ravi's room.

"Hey Ravi! I want to talk to you right now."

"Hi anni! What happened to that sleep walking? Do you still want to see a doctor?"

He thinks it's all funny? I'm going to kill that useless husband of mine. It's because of him I became a laughing stock.

"Shut up or I will kill you for sure. Your stupid brother is the reason behind that scene in the morning."

"Hahaha We knew it when he took you to your room. See, my brother is so romantic. He just needs you even for sleeping."

"Hey guys, may I join?" Shakshi came in.

"Come in, Shakshi. I'm just asking about what happened in the morning." Ravi said.

They are both laughing?

"Are you both gonna stop laughing or should I go out?"

"Ok Ok, cool, Danya. But that was so funny though." Shakshi said.

"Pch, guys listen. I have some questions. Ravi, your brother did his schooling in Trichy right?"

"No anni. He did his schooling here."

"WHAAAT? OMG, I feel like I'm going to die. Call an ambulance." I clutched my heart and I really did feel like the earth was breaking into two.

"Hahaha anni. You are such a Drama queen." Ravi said.

"Stop it, Ravi. It’s not funny." I yelled at him.

"I meant to say he did his schooling here. But our mom died of a heart attack during his 12th public exams. So, he couldn't write the exams. He waited for the next attempt but then he met with an accident. It took almost a year for him to recover. He had many broken bones. Bro's friend Kishore was also injured in the same accident. They both were riding a bike. My mom's sudden demise and 2years wasted on his studies made him totally depressed. So, our doctor suggested an environmental change. Kishore is our driver's son. Bro thought it was his fault that he too happened to miss his exam. So, he took him along with him to Trichy. He was reluctant to go to school at first. But dad said just erase these 2years from your life and relive them. So, they did their 12th grade alone in Trichy."

"Ooohhh, Ok. So that adds up with the age difference. Was that a bad accident?"

"No one was fatally injured, anni. But it was a very bad phase for us."

"Danya, Ravi told me about your puppy love story. I can see his love for you in his eyes. I would say, just go and get him. You don’t have to worry about anything. We are all by your side. Athaan may be a quite stubborn person. But I'm sure he is weak on you. You can knock him off with just a look. Throw away these old salwars and try something modern and sweep him off his feet."

"Good God, Shakshi, Don’t teach evil ways to her. My poor bro."

"Shut up, Ravi. I'm trying every possible way to turn him towards me." I told him.

"God save my brother!" he spoke looking up above.

"Pch! What is their love story? Do you know about that?" I asked him.

"Nope. As far as I know, she asked for his help to escape from ragging in college. He helped. In the last semester, she proposed to my bro. He found nothing wrong, so he accepted her proposal. But I know for sure he never had taken her anywhere like cinema or park."

"Mmmmmm, I see. Where does Karthik's company come in their so-called love?" I asked him.

"I truly don’t have any idea on that."

"Dakshu has got an internship in Karthik's office, Ravi. She is coming here tomorrow. She is starting her work from wednesday. It's a 6 weeks internship. If I can go to his office, I can figure out the connection. Will uncle allow me to go for a job? Like temporary. Until Dakshu stays?"

"Dad wouldn't say no to you, anni. Besides, if we tell him the reasons, he will even talk to Karthik bro for your job. But how will you tell this to Rishi?"

"Your brother is the problem in everything. I can't go to his friend's office without his knowledge. What to do?"

"Don't worry, Danya, I can talk to athaan to let you go. Like if I say you are all bored and wasting your studies, he may allow you for a job. When he accepts my point, I can suggest Karthik's office. As he is well known in that place, he may send you there without second thoughts."

"Sooper Shakshi. Thank you so much. You are doing it tonight after your stupid athaan comes home. I have to go there along with my sister. That will make my presence less suspicious there."

"Mmmm master plan, anni. All the best!"

I should talk to Karthik. He might know Rishi- Smirthi's story. He may have some answers.
