Remove The Blinds
Dylan whispered in a deadly tone and covered her mouth with his large palm. Apprehension groped her as he glared into her scared eyes.
“There is something very important that I need to tell you Eve and for that, you need to listen to me.” His voice was thick and demanded obedience. Evelyn wanted to rebel but his stern expression doused her confidence. She found herself nodding.
Once he was sure, Dylan slowly removed his palm from her mouth but didn’t let go of her face. Instead, he cupped her right cheek and glided his thumb over her jawline.
Evelyn shuddered and tried to move away but a low growl seized her movement. She looked at him, waiting for him to share that important matter but Dylan was busy marveling at her beauty. His gaze roved all over her face but lingered a little longer on her cheery lips.
Rage sparked in her heart as he was gawking at her like a pervert.
“What it is?“, she gritted with a clenched jaw.
“Whatever happened last night wasn’t your fault so stop beating yourself up for it,” Dylan spoke while caressing her cheek.
Evelyn gaped at him, stunned. His words made her heart flutter and were even shocking as she didn’t expect this coming from Dylan. He should have instead cashed in on this opportunity and swirled her around a blame game so that she readily accepted his slavery. But here he was encouraging her.
Lost in thoughts, she stared at his dark pools that were filled with longing and desperation. A desire to love her, a madness to claim her, and a determination to win her. She was internally having a battle with her feelings which Dylan noticed too.
Evelyn was startled when he suddenly leaned forward making the tip of their noses brush against each other. His gaze vacillated between her eyes and lips. Evelyn moved her head to the side, their proximity was stirring some dead feelings inside her heart, stoking them to revive. Something which she feared.
“What are you playing at Dylan?” she snapped at him.
Dylan scoffed and joined their foreheads, “Nothing. Dominique was shot and I followed you there because the next targets were Theodore and you.”
The news left her shell-shocked. Evelyn immediately whipped her head to the front which made their lips touch. Her cheeks flared up.
“I-I am sorry-I..”
She blabbered in fear and tried to scoot away but Dylan didn’t give her a chance and decided to swallow her babbling. He took her quivering lips in her mouth and sucked them greedily.
The moment his eyes caught the sight of her juicy flesh that was coated in dark pink color, the urge to taste them ignited in his heart. He wanted a taste, a small would also suffice but the moment his rough ones collided with her soft pair, he lost control.
Evelyn on the other hand squeezed her eyes tightly, her small hands holding his broad shoulder blades as she tried pushing him off but it was futile.
She moaned in the kiss as he was being too rough. Dylan blessed her with no breather and continued guzzling his favorite cotton candies. Tongue, teeth, he put everything to their best use. Finally, after quenching his thirst, he retracted but not after pulling her lower lip between his teeth, marking his stake.
“Mmff, what are you doing?” Evelyn shouted and wiped her lips in disgust but Dylan only smirked in return.
“Showing that I have nothing against you. You wouldn’t give me a chance and I... wouldn’t back down until I get you back.” His expression oozed a dark promise.
Evelyn shot him a death glare. Her blood boiled at his audacity.
“Does my consent hold any value in your heart?” she said trying to bite down her sobs.
Her question left him speechless. His gaze turned rueful which she noticed but it was soon replaced with roguery. The way his personality changes in a blink is inconceivable.
Evelyn stiffened when Dylan placed his palm on the wall right above her head and leaned forward while staring at her. A frigid shiver ran down her spine watching his eyes that were dripping with lust. Evelyn didn’t lower her guard and stared at him with a bated breath but her heart skipped a beat feeling his hand on her waist. She immediately pressed her palm on his chest when he grabbed her waist and pulled her forward with a jerk. Her struggles amplified but they only amused Dylan as he leaned further and dipped his face in her nape.
“I do listen to you or else I would have ripped off your clothes and done so many bad things with you that your pea-sized brain can’t even imagine.” He husked in a velvety voice and ran the tip of his nose on the throbbing vein in her neck.
Evelyn was appalled at his crude words. She gave a hard push on his chest and swung her hand in the air to slap him. But her breath hitched when Dylan caught it in mid-air and gripped her palm tightly. A whimper escaped her mouth as she started squirming in his hold but froze when Dylan lifted his head and looked at her.
Dread pooled in her stomach watching his fierce expression. He was mad.
“Don’t,” he seethed and pulled her close making a gasp slip through her trembling lips, “you ever do that again. Am I clear?” He gritted near her lips; his hot breath fanned her skin.
Evelyn watched him scared. But soon her fear was replaced with sheer anger. “Or what will you do, huh?” She asked him despite the chattering of her teeth.
Dylan glared at her and pressed herself more onto her while forcing her eyes not to stray away.
“Something which you won’t be able to handle.”
Saying that he released her with a jerk. Evelyn immediately steadied herself and looked at him with spite.
“You haven’t changed. I was a fool to think that-”
“No, you aren’t a fool but cute enough to think you can get away from my grasp,” Dylan cut her off and quickly stole a kiss from her lips.
Evelyn pushed him away, “You don’t own me.” She shouted, utterly revolted, and rushed to the door. But Dylan grabbed her forearm and wheeled her around.
Evelyn immediately switched to the fight mode but Dylan hugged her tightly, pausing her movements.
“I don’t own you but you have my heart in your possession.” His voice was deep and solemn. The hair on her nape stood up as he buried his face in her neck, his hold tightening around her fragile figure.
“The hatred you have for me has blinded you and I am accountable for it. But for once...” His voice was laden with grief. Evelyn stayed silent as Dylan broke the hug and cupped her face before making her look into his eyes.
“Remove those blinds. Trust me, Angel, I am not saying it for my gain but because I am worried for you. Sometimes the faith which we put in others to get rid of our enemy backfires on us.” He stated. Evelyn stayed rooted on the spot. She tried to find any tinge of deception in his eyes but all she could see was sincerity and concern for her.
She closed her eyes when Dylan lowered her head and pecked her forehead. His lips lingered a little longer there before he detached them and stared down at her.
“For once try to dispel the misgivings between us and give me a chance. I swear on my mother Eve, you wouldn’t regret it. For once put your faith in me.” He pleaded and slowly released her face.
Evelyn stayed silent while Dylan turned his heels and exited the room. She watched his retreating figure while pondering his words.
