Chapter 28
Alexander’s POV
Frustration ran through my veins as I could feel her crying, 'he keeps making her cry yet she still runs to him'; I want to go to her and comfort her, but I can't watch her breakdown in tears over another man, how did she turn my world upside down so quickly, I feel lighter and happier whenever I’m around her, there is no one else she is perfect for me, 'dammit Kein, will you never give up?’
“Alexander right?” Kein’s mate Caroline chirped at me, I nodded annoyed at her already, I’m not in the mood to play pretend right now, she and her mate can live in denial if they want to, but my mate and I will take no part in it
“Where is your date, Alicia…where is that little rascal?” she said jokingly but I shot her a look seeing that she has forgotten her place, “I mean her Hanbok is beautiful, I just want to know where she got it” she chuckled nervously
“She’s headed to the beach” I stood up and started walking towards the door
“I’ll come with you” she hurried behind me
“Do what you want, but don’t get in my way” she nodded and followed quietly
The time has come to claim what is mine, ‘I told you not to force my hand, this time you have gone too far’
Alicia’s POV
I pushed the door open, and the smell of the beach filled the air, promising freedom, and a lighter tomorrow, I followed it and took my shoes off letting the cold water hit my feet
“Where to now Alicia? You can’t go back to your apartment; all your clothes are at Alexander’s place, and you definitely can’t go there” I let out a loud growl and plopped down on the sand
I thought about the conversation with Kein's father, and it broke my heart, I know that I’m not perfect and I’ll be the first to admit that, but he truly made me feel like the scum of the earth
“I wish he could’ve lied to me; I wish he would have said he accepts me as his son’s mate and that he understands the difficult position I'm in, instead of throwing me out like that” tears started welling up in my eyes at the memory, I sniffled holding them back
‘Maybe I should call dad and ask him to buy me a ticket back home, life was easier there,’ I took out my phone and found dad's number, but I couldn’t press the dial button “come on Alicia, dial, what are you waiting for?”
“Alicia!” I heard Kein’s voice call out in the distance, I stood up looking at him as he ran down the beach to meet me, 'I love the way he loves me'
“He has a neck for perfect timing” I smiled and felt the warmth of my tears streaming down my face
Kein’s POV
“Why did you do that, Kein, what’s wrong with you?” mom shrieked crouching down next to dad
“Are you okay?” she said looking at him, the look on her face was of fear, worry and anger
“Ask your husband?” I growled, I gave my father one last look and ran down the stairs following her scent it lead me outside towards the beach
“Alicia!” I barked running down the beach, I took her in my arms, and she broke down
I hate that I’m the cause of her misery, I want to comfort her and love her freely and openly, in this moment there is only one path I can see
“Let’s go” I took her hand and we started running down the beach, Alicia’s sobs turned to screams of laughter, her happiness filled me making me laugh ‘I will die for you, I will care for you, I will give you all your hearts desires’
“Kein, where are you going? Come back!” Caroline screamed in the distance behind us
“Is that Caroline?” Alicia asked slowing down to look back towards the sound
“Don’t worry about her, look at me, it’s me and you now” I huffed as we ran, she nodded with her hand in mine
I looked ahead and everything went black, I came too, and my head was throbbing, and I heard a ringing sound, and my eyes were flooded with spots, I shook my head trying to focused, as I slowly opened my eyes, I saw Alicia facing me with Alexanders arms wrapped around her, her eyes were filled with fear and her expression changed to relief when she saw me stand up
“Let her go” I growled still feeling dizzy trying to find my step
“You should sit back down, don’t move too much, you could have a concussion” Caroline said holding me in place using all her strength so I wouldn’t fall
“Glad you could join us” prince Alexander said with a smug look on his face “I was starting to think that you might not wake up”
“Fuck you” I growled with my head starting to clear up
“Is this how you treat a guest who comes bearing gifts”
“I said let her go”
“Should we give him our gift?” he whispered in her ear, with one hand around her waist and the other around her neck, I growled, and I started to run hoping to catch him by surprise
“You’re too slow” he smirked, her face turned to confusion, her eyes asking me why I stopped.
“What did you do to me?” I growled unable to move
“Now without further ado” he said ignoring me, he tilted her head back, I watched as he licked her marking spot, my spot
“You bastard, don’t you dare” I growled glaring at him
“Alexander, please don’t” she breathed with her eyes closed leaning into him
“Shh, it’ll be over soon” he hissed extending his fangs, his eyes locked with mine as he slowly sunk his fangs into her marking spot, she let out a silent scream, and I felt my heart tear into a million pieces
Alicia’s POV
“His fangs slowly dug into my skin I bit my lip and gasped as my body started getting hot for him, I only want him and no one else, he was slowly writing his name into my soul, his scent invaded mine mixing with it, twisting together in an exotic dance becoming one, his mate seed now fully planted in me
“Oh” I moaned as he slowly removed his fangs sending a chill down my spine, making me wet, my centre throbbed needing him, begging him to complete the process, I need to be his, I want his hands on me touching me all over, I need to feel him inside me, and I want him more than anything
‘Alexander’ his name echoed in my head over and over, as he slowly pulled his fangs out
“I’m yours” I breathed reeling in the electrical sparks his seductive tongue sent as he slowly liked my marking spot, he wrapped his mouth around my spot and sucked, my centre throbbed, and my knees buckled, making fall on the sand panting with my eyes closed feeling his seed race through my body introducing itself to every part of my body
Kein’s POV
"Ali, stay with me babe, fight, don't give in" I growled, he released me from his Alpha force, and I ran to her, I crouched down holding her face in my palms trying in vain to stop the process
"I'm trying” she breathed "but I can't, Kein I’m sorry" she growled the venom was spreading fast ‘what can I do? There must be something I can do’
"Listen to me, he doesn't love you like I love you; he doesn't breathe you like I breathe you...stay with me...come on babe...fight...please, please, please" my hands on her shoulders pleading with her
“She only hears my call now” prince Alexander smirked, her green eyes turned grey, and a shade of blue played at her iris
Her eyes darkened and turned a radiant shade of blue and she stood up looking at me like a was a stranger
"No, no, no... Ali come back to me, don’t do this, don't leave me" I held her beautiful face in my hands searching her eyes, looking for a glimpse of me
“Lea” prince Alexander whispered, and she turned to him “come to me” he said waiting with his arms open for her, she smiled and ran into his arms. My knees crashed down on the sand, and I watched as she kissed him lovingly, welcoming her mate home, and I knew that she was his.
He broke the kiss and looked at me and then at Caroline who was paralysed and in awe
“Apologies but we must be on our way, you understand right” he smirked at me taking her hand walking with her past me back to the hotel.
He took her from me and once again I couldn't stop it.
