Kein’s POV
“Where are you going?” Caroline’s groggy morning voice made me turn around
“Work” I whispered buttoning up my shirt
“Are you sure you’re not going to see her?”
“Caroline”
“Just kidding, I made a promise and as you know I’m a woman of my word” she leaned over to the side table and handed me the envelope that I hadn’t noticed was laying on it “here”
“What is it?” I started to open it
“Please open it when you’re in your car”
“Okay now I’m curious, Caroline what is this?”
“Please open it in the car” she begged
“Okay” I put my jacket on and walked to the door
“Kein” she whispered
“Yes” I turned around
“I really did love you”
“I Loved you too” the door shut behind me and when I got outside I opened the envelope
“Petition for divorce, she signed” I ran to the car “I have to show her, I’m finally hers, I’m finally free Ali” I punched the steering wheel, my excitement was too much to bare, my phone rang bringing me back down from cloud nine
“Mr Keng, we just got word that prince Alexander is headed to the airport”
“Who is this?”
“My name is Hyun-woo sir, I’m on the Alphas guard, he asked me to call you if there was any news…sir”
“Okay, go on”
“He is headed to the airport with your mate sir”
“What?”
“They’ll reach the airport in ten minutes”
“Which airport?”
“Gimpo in Seoul sir”
“I’m on my way” the phone clicked, and my foot hit the accelerator as I raced to the airport
“Ali, I can’t lose you, come back to me my love”
Alicia’s POV
I woke up to the smell of coffee, bacon and eggs, the breakfast tray was at the foot of the bed, I walked over to it and read the note “gone to make preparations, will be back soon, P.S, eat something”
I couldn’t help it, but I stuffed my face, for some reason I was starving
“Ali come back to me” a voice echoed in my head; the smooth masculine voice didn’t belong to my Alex but somehow sounded familiar, my soul cried out to it.
“Hey, you” Alexander smiled walking into the bedroom
“Hey, yourself” he walked right up to me and took me into his arms giving me a light pack on the lips “you missed the show” I smirked
“What show?” he looked at me questioningly
“I was all soaped up and naked and you weren’t here”
“Damn, I missed all that?”
“Yep and it was good too”
“Really?” he hissed through clenched teeth “that’s not right” I shot up my brow at him “not right at all” he smirked
“So, what are you going to do about it?”
He looked at me, his eyes full of mischief, he quickly flung me over his shoulder again and ran to the bathroom
“What are you doing?” I giggled
“Rectifying the situation” he turned on the water soaking my hair and my clothes
“Alex, what the fuck?” I chuckled loving his playfulness
He didn’t say a word, he just looked at me and bit his lip slowly unbuttoning and undoing my pants, I followed his lead and took my shirt off, one by one our wet clothes flopped on the shower floor
“Do it”
“Do what?”
“I want to see you all soaped up” a tingling sensation played at my core at his words
“Ali, can you hear me, are you there? Please answer me babe”
‘What the hell is that?’ a feeling of dread came over me, my heart felt heavy, in a matter of seconds it weighed a ton
“Are you alright?”
“Yes” I lied trying my best to look alright, but my body betrayed me once again, the tears didn’t ask for permission they simply ran down my face.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked holding me tight
“I don’t know, I just got sad all of a sudden”
“It’s part of the process, it will be over soon”
“What do you mean?”
“When I marked you it shocked your system…temporarily” I clung to him holding on for dear life grabbing my aching heart feeling my body get weak
“What are you talking about?” I groaned
“You’re starting to connect with him again”
“Who?”
“Your mate”
“My mate, what are you…oh it hurts” I felt like I was going to faint from the pain, it was intensely laced with dread and fear, making it hard for me to breathe
“It’s alright, you’re going to be alright” his expression didn’t match his words making me feel even more afraid
“What the hell is happening to me?” he laid me down on the bed, covering me up with a blanket and brushed my wet hair from my face, I looked up at him and saw sadness and fear written on his face
Alexander’s POV
‘Good the mark worked; I was afraid it wouldn’t hold because her mate is still alive’
“It won’t last though” Alakia barked “we have to strengthen the bond as soon as possible”
‘How long do we have?’
“Given her strong blood line and potent scent, we have till morning at best”
‘What do I have to do?’
“Nothing can erase the mate bond so when you marked her; her body couldn’t reconcile what was happening and decided to block him until she can cope with the reality of your mark”
‘So, she doesn’t remember him?’
“No, he is like a stranger to her now, I need to mark my mate while she’s still in this state of total oblivion and complete the mating process making her mine once and for all”
“Who was that man?” Alicia’s voice brought me back from my conversation with my wolf
“You don’t know?” I asked testing my wolfs theory, she shook her head “nobody, forget about him”
“He looked so sad” my anger flared up, she keeps looking back when she should be looking at me, ‘I should have killed him when I had the chance’
“I said forget him” she jumped in her seat making me realise how harsh I was “sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you”
“I just feel sorry for him…for some reason” my knuckles became pale as I clenched my teeth trying to control my anger
“His wife will take care of him”
“His wife?” she really doesn’t remember him at all, my wolf was right we have to complete the mating process now, this might be our only chance
“Remember that woman that was standing next to him?”
“That’s his wife?”
“Oh, I guess he’ll be okay then”
“Like I said, don’t worry about him” good he is out of the picture, at least for now
“I’m starving” she whispered looking like a cute little puppy making me chuckle
“Come to think of it, I promised you a fancy dinner before we left”
“Great, where are you taking me?” she said excitedly
“That depends, how hungry are you?”
“I guess I can wait for whatever you have planned” she smiled looking shyly at me, ‘dammit she’s cute’
“Good answer” I smiled unable to control my joy,
I pulled over at a wolves only restaurant, a fact that made me feel uneasy, I was literally taking her to a den full of unmated wolves who would like nothing more than to take what is mine, but it’s the only place I can tolerate to eat at, I’ll just have to kill anyone that even looks her way.
“Wait”
“What?”
“Just wait”
“Aw, look at that chivalry isn’t dead after all” she smirked as I opened the door for her
“I guess not” our eyes locked, and I sensed the moment her heat triggered, she was doing a good job keeping it at bay ‘let’s change that shall we’
I leaned in and gave her a soft gentle kiss, brushing her exposed skin ever so lightly waking up her entire body making her whimper, I sneaked my arms around her waist pressing her against me, she leaned in, her heat bursting to the surface
“I wanna go home” she whispered in my mouth; I love how she’s like putty in my hands
“You’re not hungry anymore?” I smirked
“I only want desert” she pressed her body against mine biting my lip and licking it at the same time, I chuckled fixing my gaze on her ‘you’re mine’
“Let’s get you fed”
‘You’ll need your strength for what I have planned’
“Your table is ready prince Alexander” dammit it’s the clumsy waiter who spilled a drink on me last time
“Wow, look at that skyline, it’s so beautiful”
I looked at her perfect face, her beauty lit up the entire room “Yes, the view is spectacular” she looked back at me, and her face bloomed like a rose “stop being so darn cute, or else I’ll have to take you right here over this table”
“What?” she bit her lip, I tried to hide my grin as her arousal teased my nose
“In front of all these wolves” I barked unable to control my hunger any longer
I chuckled running my palm down my face “you’re gonna be the death of me” I whispered as she hid herself with the menu
“Good evening, my name is Park-Jeon and I’m your waiter for the evening, may I get you something to drink?”
“Yes, I’m going to order everything at once, so listen carefully” I barked annoyed at his presence, all of them annoyed me, making my blood boil, they want her, I can feel them staring
“If I may repeat your order?”
“No, you may not” I barked ‘don’t fuck it up this time’ I mind linked him “Get out of my sight”
“That was unnecessary” she glared at me
“I can smell the lust on all of them, they want what is mine”
“What are you talking about?”
“Look at them, they think that just because we’ve only completed half the mating process they still have a shot with you, they’ve forgotten their place, let’s remind them shall we?” my wolf started to take over, he felt it too, they were planning something, whatever it was my wolf, and I would like to show them why I’m the crown prince to the alphas
“Alex, look at me, nobody here wants me, look around, no one is even looking at us, and even if they were it wouldn’t matter”
I know what she meant but I need to hear her say it, I want to see those sweet lips form the words
“Why wouldn’t it matter?”
“Hm?” she pretended not to hear me, not knowing she was torturing me
“You said it wouldn’t matter, what do you mean by that?” the anticipation was killing me
“A bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, would you like to taste it” man he annoys me ‘perfect timing as always’ I barked at him through mind link
“No, just pour it and leave”
“Alexander be nice” she looked at the poor excuse for wolf “thank you” he smiled back at her I growled taking the bottle from him 'get out of my sight'
“I wanted desert, you’re the one that insisted on eating first and now that we’re here” she drew seductive circles on the back of my hand and leaned in “be nice” she whispered her pink rose scent teasing my lips. Making my dick hard.
“Fuck, let’s go” I growled looking at her sweet lips, I want to taste them, I want to feel their softness, I want her now
“What?”
“I can’t wait any longer, I must have you, now” her arousal filled the air around me
“Well, I want food”
“I know what you want” I smirked “and It’s not food”
Everything was bland, it had no taste, the only thing I could think of was her, how perfectly she fits in my arms, the way she shivers every time I touch her, her heat radiated from her to me bringing with it the scent of her arousal
“Right now,” fuck, this I can’t take it anymore “you smell juicer than this steak”
“Fuck it, let’s go” she pushed her plate aside and got up
“Remember it must all be done tonight” my wolf barked

“Are you alright?” I asked seeing the confusion in her eyes, it was happening, she was starting to remember
“Yes” she whispered with tears running down her face
“Hey, what’s wrong?” I held her tight in my arms ‘please don’t remember him, remember last night, remember me’
“I don’t know, I just got sad all of a sudden”
“It’s part of the process, it will be over soon”
“What do you mean?”
“When I marked you it shocked your system…temporarily” she held onto me like her life depended on it, her other hand gripped her heart
“What are you talking about?” she groaned
“You’re starting to connect with him again, right now you feel everything he feels”
“Who?”
“Your mate”
“My mate, what are you…oh it hurts”
“It’s alright, you’re going to be alright” I hate seeing her in pain, it’s killing me
“What the hell is happening to me?”
“Just a little while longer my love, it will be over soon”
“What will be over soon? Alex please…what is going on?”
“I’m sorry my love, it’s all my fault, but I had to do it, I had to, you were running away with him, I had no choice” please don't hate me
She went quiet, her moans stopped, and her pain subsided, as though she awoke from a dream she shot up and looked at me breathing heavily, the blue that coated her eyes faded revealing her bright emerald green orbs
“What the hell happened to me?” she barked
