Kein's POV

I followed her fruity apple scent through the corridors doing my best to not be seen, the castle was made of marble stones, with shades of dark and light brown, the halls were lined with portraits, and curtains that draped down from the high ceilings.

There was a buzz in the air, a number of cooks and decorators zoomed past me, shouting, and giving instructions to each other, there were people holding chairs, others were holding plates, and some were rushing past me with flowers in their hands, their distracted state made it easy for me to swiftly rush past them unnoticed

Her scent got stronger and stronger as I followed it blindly, it led me to a narrow passageway where all I could breathe was her, there was no oxygen in the air, it was just her

My heart stopped, and a smile played on my lips as soon as I spotted her, “I’ve finally found you” I whispered softly to myself, she looked like an angel in her veil, and short wedding dress

I don’t know how to feel about it though, on one hand I’m glad that she’s still in a wedding dress which means she hasn’t gone through with it yet, but on the other hand, why the hell is she in a wedding dress?

I leaned against the threshold with my arms folded looking at her admiring herself in the full-length mirror, she looks so cute and innocent swaying her hips back and forth, she just takes my breath away, a pain gripped my hear, wishing it was all for me, I took a deep breath and stepped towards her

“You look beautiful my love” she swung around so fast that her dress caught in the air, making me chuckle a little bit

“Kein, what are you doing here?” She gasped

“Aren't you happy to see me?”

“Of course, I am, you know I am” she rushed past me and closed the door, making sure to lock it “but you know how dangerous this is? You can’t be here; you need to leave before someone spots you”

I grabbed her hand, pulled her to me, she crashed against my chest, and I wrapped my arms around her holding her tight, my wolf leaped wagging his tail as I breathed her in, her arms feel like home to me, she is the breath of life to me, she is everything I’ll ever need, the only thing that I really want “I don't care about him, you're the only one that matters to me”

“I don't want to see you get hurt, don’t you get it, if Alexander sees you here he will kill you” I smiled kissing the top of her head

“Oh, how sweet, does that mean you still love me?”

“Shut up” she mocked, chuckling softly tightening her grip around my waist, pulling me closer

“Now you’re the one who didn’t wait” she paused, tensing up

“I did though, but it was just too hard, I couldn’t wait anymore, I had to move on”

“Now I know how you felt, I guess” she broke away from our embrace and locked eyes with me

“That was nothing compared to the way I felt when Alexander almost killed you and I can't take that, you’re my mate, even though we’re not together you’re still my mate, you’re still important, so please, leave, you need to leave” she blinked holding back her tears

“I didn’t come all this way just to leave you behind, you must be crazy if you think I’m just gonna turn around and leave without you”

“I can’t” she breathed

“You can’t, or you won’t”

“Kein…please”

“Fine, I'll leave, just promise to come with me

“You know I can’t do that”

“Are you really going to marry him?”

“Kein, please don’t” she at her feet avoiding my gaze, she bit her trembling lips shaking her head

I pulled her into my arms again, and her body pulsed as she sobbed against my chest soaking my shirt with her warm tears.

I could feel her pain, it radiated through me, my wolf crouched down whimpering as her sorrow gripped me

“Are you really going to marry him?” my voice cracked as my tears escaped

“Kein, you don’t understand” I cupped her beautiful radiant face in my hands, and her emerald painted eyes looked up at me

“You’re mine” I barked taking her lips, invading them with mine, she kissed me back passionately welcoming me home, I lifted her wrapping her legs around my waist as our tongues danced to their own erotic tune

I crashed her back against the wall moving my hands slowly up her thigh to her centre, she trembled at my touch tightening her legs around my waist, holding on to my neck for dear life

I positioned myself against her, stroking her centre up and down with my throbbing dick, that was begging to be released. I want her right here and right now, I can’t stop myself, but then again I don’t want to, it’s time for her to come back to me, it’s time for her to come home to me.

The way that her body clung to me told me that she wanted it too, I could hear it screaming out to me telling me to never let go, she held me tighter fusing our bodies together

“Mikah, how I’ve missed you my love” a wave of emotions filled with love, happiness, and relief burst through me as my wolf spoke softly mind linking with his mate

Alicia broke the kiss, pushing me away as she unwrapped herself from me, my anger flared, I don’t know why she’s so adamant in wanting to stay with that piece of shit who kidnapped her and took her away from me

I took a deep breath calming myself, because unlike him, I want her to choose me, I don’t want to force her “I’m your mate Ali, I came here to get you back, you can’t marry him, please don’t marry him” I took her waist and pulled her to me gently, and placed my forehead on hers “come with me, I have a way out this time, we can start over”

“Kein, I…I’m” she stammered unable to speak

“Don’t do it, come on babe don’t do this, don’t marry him” I kissed her with all my being, “marry me, come with me”

“I can’t do that” she whimpered

“Fuck Ali” I hissed in frustration “why the hell not?”

“Kein, listen, I have to tell you something” she said avoiding my gaze

“No, Ali, I don’t care what it is, I don’t care if he marked you, or that you’re having his baby” I growled pulling at my hair wanting to rip it out, it’s driving me crazy, she's driving me crazy. I don’t understand why she’s resisting “I don’t care, whatever happens I’m not going to let anything come between us again, I just want you” I took her hand in mine and looked deep into her eyes “just… please, come with me”

“Alicia, are you in there? Is everything okay honey?” a voice boomed from outside the door

“Everything is fine mom; I just need a second” we were running out of time “let’s go” I mouthed the words

“Kein, I need you to listen to me”

“I told you… I don’t care” I said louder than I’d intended, and her mother grew frantic banging on the door

“Who’s in there? Alicia open this door right now” she banged on and kicked the door

“We need to go, and we need to go now” I pushed her for an answer, I had planned for a quick escape, and all this was now taking too long

“Alicia, I swear I’m going to break this door down” her mother barked

“We are running out of time” I pushed

She started pacing up and down, breathing heavily, and then she exploded “I’m already married” she looked at me, bit her lip, waiting for me to respond

“What?” I froze, my head started ringing with a thousand questions racing through my mind, I tried to speak, I wanted to speak, but I couldn’t, everything within me stopped responding to my commands

“Alex and I got married two weeks ago” she looked up at me with sorrow and worry in her eyes

“Then what is this?” I gestured to the wedding dress she wore “why are you in that dress? I don’t understand”

“We did all of this for my parents, you know because we eloped the first time” my heart felt like it was being punctured slowly with a thousand needles

“You married him?” she walked over to me and tenderly cupped my cheek, but it wasn’t the same, I just didn’t see her the same way anymore

“Kein, I’m so sorry, I never meant to hurt you, you have to know that”

“Fuck!” I boomed looking up at the ceiling, my wolf started barking in frustration, he growled, and barked in my head; he was ready to fight, he needed someone, anyone, anything to take his frustration out on

The door came crashing down with an older gentleman crashing down with it “dad, what the hell?” she boomed

“Alicia? Alicia? Oh, thank god, I was so worried” a woman who I assumed was her mother stepped over the man groaning on the floor, and rushed to Alicia wrapping her arms around her

“I’m fine mom” Alicia said, shooting me a look, I shook my head at her, I just couldn’t believe that she went through with it, after everything we’ve been through, she put me through hell because I didn't wait for her, and then she goes and does this.

I need to get out of here, I need some air to clear my head, I walked towards the door, and the hairs on the back of my head stood up, I locked eyes with the man that has become the bane of my existence

He stood there with a smug grin on his face, my wolf growled making his intentions clear, he wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug grin off that asshole’s face, and I agreed wholeheartedly with everything he felt, I was with him all the way, I wanted to kill this son of a bitch

Alicia rushed in front of me, and with her hands out in from of her she said pleading with the monster before us “Alex, it’s not what you think” she said leaping to my defence, she still sees me as a pathetic defenceless weakling that was always overpowered by him, but not anymore, this time he’s going to get more than what he bargained for “he just came over to wish us luck, that’s all” she lied

I scoffed rolling my eyes at her words “take her away” Alexander growled, and his bodyguard grabbed her arm violently dragging her away, I grabbed her arm, punched him in the throat, and as he fell, I lifted Alicia off her feet placing her behind me, making sure that no one could touch her

“When will you realise that she’s not yours anymore, she belongs to me now, just give up already” Alexander barked glaring at me

“Don’t you think I know that? I hate how much I love her; I wish I can hate her, I want to hate her, but I can’t, she’s a part of me, and no matter how much she hurts me I can’t let her go” she clung to my jacket, and leaned into me as I spoke, her closeness warmed my heart, begging me to forgive her and let her in again, it’s so easy for her to open me up, and grab a hold of my heart “I would rather die than lose her to you again” I just can’t stay mad at her, well it’s not like I’m really trying to anyway

“Then I guess today is your last day” he growled, I knew from the look in his eyes that he wanted to end this as much as I did, I summoned my wolf, and he did the same, my hands and my head became my wolf’s and I pounced

I clawed at his face, and he bit my neck with his wolf's fangs, I pushed him into the hall, crashing his back into it “so you finally connected with your wolf I see” he gave me a sly grin "it’s about damn time”

He pushed me back into a wall, punched me in the face, and I gutted him in the stomach, and he stumbled back giving me the opportunity to pounce, I leaped falling on top of him making us fall down the stairs "it's about time this got interesting" he growled as we reached the bottom of the stairs

We crashed into the Victorian style chest drawer table at the bottom of the stairs breaking the vintage Chinese vase that was resting on it, we continued our rumble past the kitchen, and I made sure to push him into the stupid three tier wedding cake knocking it to the ground making it completely uneatable

He grabbed my suit jacket and shoved me against the door breaking it and tearing it off its hinges, I saw his punch coming from a mile away and ducked, he punched the door, and I grabbed his waist hurling him outside and slamming his body hard on the grass outside

I leaped wanting to elbow him in the chest while he lay on the ground, but he dodged in a nick of time, we both got to our feet, and he spit out the blood from his mouth and I wiped the blood from my lip

“Not so easy this time is it?” I mocked

“Whatever, you’re still going to lose” he growled

“We’ll see about that” we pounced resuming our fight, I dodged his right hook, and he dodged my left, seeing that his fists weren’t doing the trick he leaped in the air attacking with a roundhouse kick leaving his midsection exposed, I ducked and hit him in the stomach

He stumbled back groaning in pain, holding his stomach “you were saying?” I smirked taunting him “I’ve learned a few tricks since we last fought you know” I said as a matter of fact

His face turned red, and he took off his jacket slamming it on the grass as he growled at me “bring it on” I barked focusing all my energy on fighting

“Don’t count me out just yet” I barked leaping to my feet ready to fight
