Chapter 64

After two hours!!

“All the foods were damn too delicious,” Artemis commented while enjoying the dessert.

“I’m glad that you like it,” Oliver responded. “But my mate is a better chef than me. That’s a different thing that she left this profession because of all these werewolves things. Whenever you two will plan to visit New York, do visit us at our pack. She will love to prepare your other favorite food.”

“Your pack? But because of safety reasons, we werewolves heard that your pack is somewhere hidden, and no one knows about it.” Artemis pointed out.

“Don’t worry, BIL. Caro knows where it is. After all, she used to visit us sometimes in summer vacation.” Charlotte responded in a flow.

‘And there our mate said, she is a nobody, but in reality, she has a connection with such a powerful family.’ Bolt said.

‘Maybe she didn’t tell us about it because she wanted us to love her just for HER.’ Artemis reasoned out.

“That’s great. Since our relationship is still new. There are a lot of things that we have to know about each other.” Artemis said. “Moreover, we have all our life to know about each other, right? Uncle Oliver.”

“Right? A relationship is like a fine wine if tended properly, and it just gets better with age.” Oliver agreed.

“My mate didn’t mention it, but it seems like you all know her very well.” Artemis pointed out casually.

“That’s true. I have known her all my life.” Oliver answered, knowing very well what exactly he had to answer. “Actually, I was… well, not was; I’m close to her mother since her mother was born.”

“Oh, wow!” Artemis exclaimed, not expecting this long relationship between his mate and Oliver Weasley.

“So, Caro is the first child in my life whom I took in my arms when I was an adult, and till that time, I hadn’t met your queen,” Oliver told him. “I was then just a normal college student. And I was surprised to see the size of Caro. You know, she was this small.” he added, showing his hand from fingertips to a little below his elbow.

“God!! This is so embarrassing!” Caroline muttered, looking here and there while Artemis laughed, imagining his little mate.

“She was so tiny and small then, and now, here she is,” Oliver remarked, looking at her.

“You won’t believe it, BIL. But Caro is dad’s favorite.” Charlotte said. “So, think ten times before hurting her because if he can cook tasty food for you, then he can poison you too.” She added with a serious tone.

“Don’t worry, SIL. I will never hurt my mate. NEVER.”

“I don’t think I need to give you a warning, Artemis. But remember, Caro is like my niece. We might not be blood-related, but Love is thicker than blood.”

“I.. I understand, Uncle Oliver.”

‘Phewww… that was intimidating.’ Bolt replied. ‘Now that he is convinced of our relationship, then how hard can it be to convince her parents, right?’

‘Right.’

Otherside!!

Colton, Caroline’s brother, was fuming in anger after rereading Caroline’s message.

[Colton: Are you still in Rome? When are you returning back? Mom & dad are getting worried now.]

[Caroline: Yes, I’m still in Rome with Artemis. And I will be returning there within two weeks.]

[Colton: Why two weeks? You already have spent more than three weeks with him, Sarah.]

[Please don’t tell me you… you move in with him? Or ….?]

[Caroline: We both marked each other, Colton. Just don’t get mad at me for this. You won’t understand the reason behind my sudden thing, but the truth is that I love…]

Colton didn’t read anything after that word because he didn’t try to understand those things that he never understood. Especially this MATE and LOVE thing.

He played with the ring on his ring finger, standing in the middle of the field.

“Sir, are you sure about it?” His assistant asked.

“Yes!! Is that even a question? He should have thought about it before challenging me.” Colton said and turned his head toward the vampire, locked in a silver cage. “Now Leave!!”

Once everyone returned to their safe place. Colton signaled, and the door of the cage opened, letting that vampire come out who had challenged show Colton his place if he would come out by saying that ‘even dogs considered themselves as a lion in their area.’

“You’re so dead now.” The vampire hissed.

“Trust me, and I had heard that before,” Colton said, looking at him casually.

“PAIN” He used his power on Colton, who stood unaffected in front of him. The vampire looked at him in confusion until Colton’s mystical tattoo, known as the hunter's mark, located on their right arm, started appearing at Colton’s wish. This mark was invisible to all save for supernatural hunters or potential hunters until that hunter wanted to appear it or not.

“You’re chosen one…” The vampire muttered, realizing that his or anyone’s powers wouldn’t work on Colton. But still, he didn’t get scared and ran toward him at his supernatural speed while Colton rolled his neck and dogged his attack. The vampire tried to attack him again, but not just Colton block his attack but also grabbed his hand tightly.

“You’re just a month-old vampire, but I have been practicing to kick supernatural creatures like you for the last fifteen years.” Colton hissed and kicked on the chest of the vampire so hard that his arms were ripped out of his body while his body was thrown away with force.

“Aaaaa… Aahhhh!!” The vampire cried in pain while Colton threw his arms away casually.

“Come on!!” Colton challenged him to still fight with him, and that fool vampire still stood up on his feet with him. All he had to do is to bite him at least once. This time Colton too ran toward that vampire at his full speed while the other hunters were just trying to see what was happening around them, but neither they could see that vampire running nor Colton because he wasn't a normal hunter but a supernatural natural hunter, who was chosen by the sword of Alexender.

While Colton jumped in the air and opened his ring, at that moment, his ring turned into a sword. He beheaded that vampire’s head. That vampire fell to the ground, and he landed on the ground softly and looked at his tattoo, which increased in his arms a little.

He shrugged his shoulder, and his tattoo started disappearing.

“Sir, you did well. But I can sense that you’re not in a good mood.” His assistant said.

“Arrange all the upcoming meetings and my work in the next two to three days. I have to leave for Rome.” Colton ordered and wore his ring back once it turned into its previous form.

“Who is your next target, Sir?”

“My brother-in-law. He and my sister marked each other in a flash.”

“So you’re pissed at your sister?”

“Kind of.”

“And what do I have a feeling that your BIL is going to be the scapegoat.” His assistant probed.

A/N: I'm not sure whether I will be able to post tomorrow or not. There is POOJA at home as the Shradh period is going on as per Indian Culture & I will be busy on Monday with the Kitchen department as my mothers will fast for 24 hours without food and water for the well-being of her children starting from tomorrow.
