Chapter 98

“Don’t touch or look at anyone, even if that lady looks like me,” Caroline explained. “No matter how much your brother will be feeling excited.” She added. Both Colton and Caroline were telling him the symptoms that he would feel after drugs would be injected into his body.

Artemis was getting worried by thinking about all this, and at the same time, Caroline’s situation was no different. What if… what if he would fail then?

“Don’t worry about me!! Even if I would fail this test. I wouldn’t give up. I will try to convince your father to try to test me in all other ways as well because one test can’t decide our future.”

Caroline smiled at his positive attitude. “Did the sun come out, or did you just smile at me?” He probed, placing his finger on his chin.

Caroline smacked his arms and hugged him, and really hoped for the best. While Colton was holding Artin in his lap, making him eat fruits. He was enjoying as much time as he could with the little champ. Seeing Artemis and Caroline hugging each other, Artin opened his arms to hug Colton.

“Colt…” He called. “Hug me,” he added.

“Of course, champ.” Saying this, Colton gave a big hug to his nephew and kissed his forehead.

‘I didn’t remember when Colton was so soft toward anyone. Maybe when Lee and Tee were young then.’ Caroline talked with Artemis through mindlink.

‘I don’t know when… but he will surely become an amazing father.’ Artemis said, seeing them together. After lunch, finally, Caroline, Artin, Artemis, and Colton, along with Weasley, boarded in the private jet to Paris. Since it was more like the first flight of Artin, he kept looking out of the window by standing on the seat. They would have left even after breakfast, but Rebecca Weasley had to visit Artemi’s father’s pack to check everything on her own and also to punish Erica.

And as expected, she stripped off her wolf from her, turning into a mere human, sending a silent warning to everyone that going against her family would be more like inviting trouble for themself, and if she caught anyone red-handedly, then they would be so dead.

After the flight of two hours and two minutes, they were in Paris.

“Come, sweetheart!! Time to meet your grandparents.” Caroline said.

“No. Stay here.” Artin said, not ready to leave from there, and kept looking outside. Caroline signaled others to walk out of the private jet. At the same time, All Artin could see were runways; there was no cloud or sky around him.

“Come with us, Artin!!” Artemis requested and picked him in his arms.

“No!! No!! No!!” He started wiggling and crying.

“Here!! See what I have for you.” Artemis tried to calm him down by showing him a lollipop. Within a second, he stopped crying and grabbed a lollipop from Artemis. Caroline wiped the tear from his cheek. On the other side, Brandon’s wolf had already sensed his queen’s presence.

“Even your brother and his family are here,” Brandon said to Sophia, who was waiting to meet Caroline and her mate and, of course, that little munchkin.

“Oli?”

“Yes!!” With this, they watched Rebecca, Oliver, Charlotte, and Colton walking out of the jet. After a while, Caroline walked out wearing a yellow color dress and wearing light makeup instead of wearing all black. Sophia gasped to see her in a different color of dress again while Brandon was in shock, and then his eyes moved to a man walking after Caroline, carrying a toddler in his arms.

“Becca!!” Sophia hugged her sister-in-law and then her brother, and then her niece. While Brandon just hugged Oliver and Charlotte. Well, this was part of a plan to divert Brandon’s mind from Artemis. Colton stayed away from this hug disease; after all, he wasn’t a hugger.

“Dadddddd,” Caroline hugged her father first happily. Brandon returned the hug, and after that, Caroline hugged her mother; meanwhile, Brandon was digging a hole in Artemis’s head with his laser beam eyes.

“Dad, He is my mate and also my husband, Artemis Gosling.” Caroline introduced.

“Hello, Dad. I’m Artemis. I’m glad to finally meet you.” Artemis said, forwarding his hand for a handshake, but Brandon didn’t shake the hand, just kept looking at him.

“It’s still Mr. Haysbert for you,” Brandon said in a serious tone. Artemis was about to take his hand back when Sophia held it.

“I must say, Caro, he is so handsome.” She said, shaking their hand and then hugging him.

“Thank you, Mrs. Haysbert,” Artemis replied.

“Call me Mom or Mother.” She said, breaking the hug and pinching Artin’s cheek, who slapped on her hand for touching his cheek. “What a naughty and cute boy.” She giggled and forwarded her hand toward Artin, silently telling him to come near her. Artin looked at Caroline first, and when she smiled and nodded. He slowly went into Sophia’s arms.

“Aww! He is so tiny and so light weighted.” Sophia exclaimed.

“That’s because it’s been a long time you have held any baby,” Brandon replied, looking at Artin. He tried to wipe the drool that was about to fall from his mouth because of eating a lollipop, and the moment he touched Artin’s lips, he bit Brandon’s finger.

Brandon hissed before speaking, “He is…. Naughty.”

“I didn’t know you three are also coming.” Brandon said before adding, “Anyways, why don’t you join us in Limo while Colton, Caro, and her mate can come by cab.”

Caroline wasn’t like this treatment, but never mind, she knew that her dad would be pissed at her and her brother as well, while Artemis assumed this as his first test, so he didn’t say anything on that part. Colton pulled out his phone and called his assistant to get his personal car; traveling by cab wasn’t his thing.

“Caro!! Caro…” Artin called her name when he realized that she wasn’t coming with him. Fighting with Sophia, he wiggled to go near her.

“I think he wants to be with you,” Sophia said, passing him to Caroline and giving them a sorry look.

Once they left, Caroline looked at her brother.

“My car will arrive after an hour because it is in service. I’m going to wait for it at the airport until then. You guys will wait or take a cab?”

“We will take a cab,” Artemis said with a smile.

“Or I can use my spell to reach there.” Caroline offered.

“Naah! Let’s enjoy our first cab ride together in Paris.” Artemis said with a smile encouraging his mate. But Caroline was worried about the thought that what if… what if she would reach home and would get her luggage out of her home?

Or, worst, break all their ties with her?
