About Claire
"It's not so polite for her to keep on standing, she can join us." Lara said, as she shifted her butt to create space for Claire besides her.
"There are other empty seats, honey, she can sit on any." Alex argued.
"Of course she can, but it's no big deal."
"We came here for a break, just YOU and I, ok?" He made sure to emphasize the 'you and I' part.
"Well, yeah…. but she was kind of nice to me when we met."
"And when was that?" Alex adjusted himself in his seat.
"Have a seat Claire," Lara tapped the space beside her, “Ignore him; he's on his period that's why he's all grumpy." Lara said with a serious face without looking at Alex.
Alex's eyes bulged out; he could not believe his ears. 'Did she just say that he was on his period right now?'
Claire burst into laughter. She started getting uncomfortable with the hostility channeled at her from Alex, but this…. 'This girl has got some balls.' She thought. She could not believe someone was actually saying that to the Almighty Alex Beau.
"You are savage." Claire leaned close to Lara and whispered still in the mist of laughter.
Lara did not dare smile; she brushed her hair with her fingers as she fought hard to suppress her laughter.
"So…?” Alex broke the silence.
"Well, let's start with you two, how did you two get to know each other?" Lara asked.
"We went to college together." Alex said.
"Oh, and we dated." Claire said bluntly.
The atmosphere quickly turned chilly, like someone just poured a ton of ice in the room.
"Oh! I see." Lara nodded. Many things began running through her mind, given the fact that she had seen Claire 'in action'. She was amazed with Claire's performance; little did she know that Claire was her boyfriend's ex. Now the whole scenario was so weird.
She was not jealous, but there were many questions going on in her mind. She was grateful for the little pep talk Claire gave her back there and honestly, she was genuinely happy to see Claire now, but after this short exchange of words, well...she was still trying to wrap her head around the whole set-up.
It was pretty obvious that Alex wasn't d'accord with the whole conversation. He did not comment, even though Lara kept on looking at him, waiting for him to confirm or deny it, but he did not.
"He is a good fucker, isn't he?" Claire asked.
Lara's eyes bulged out; she couldn't believe that Claire actually said that. Her pussy tingled, especially when she remembered that Alex is just from fucking the living hell out of her pussy and she loved it. She could still feel the soreness between her legs, images of their lovemaking just kept on floating in her head.
"I know that he'll probably say that we weren't dating, but he wouldn't deny the fact that we were fucking for 4 years." Claire added. How she managed to maintain her smile despite the things she just said… Lara still could not comprehend it.
"I guess him alone was not enough right?" Lara said back. She thought Claire was cool and just hustling back there in her own way, but looks like there's a lot to her story…. And Alex too. The more time they spent together, the more she felt like she didn't know him.
Claire stared at her with surprise written on her face.
Alex was confused, he had no idea what was going on, but he was pissed that Claire was present right there.
"We met when Mike kidnapped me, but unlike me who wanted to get out of there, Claire was actually enjoying being gangbanged." Lara said bluntly. "I don't care what happened to both of you in the past, but I want to make clear that 'that was the PAST', so y'all just keep the details to yourselves."
One thing was certain, things did not end amicably between Claire and Alex, and the last thing Lara needed right now, was someone fucking up her moment.
Alex was stunned.
Claire too, she thought Lara was quiet and introverted maybe, well, as they say, 'Never judge a book by its cover'.
"Would you mind excusing us?" Alex asked Claire, without looking at her.
"Of course," the smile that faded seconds ago was seen again on her face, like it never left.
The waitress served their burgers as soon as Claire left.
Neither of them touched the food, they just kept on staring at each other.
"I'm sorry she said all that." Alex was the first to speak. He slowly extended his hand across the table and took Lara's hand in his.
"Nah, it was the truth though."
"So… you are not upset?"
"Why should I be? We both have slept with other people before soo.."
What Claire said was the truth and they both know it, but Lara had no idea why she was pissed. "I guess things did not end on a good note between both of you, huh?"
"It was kind of tough." He raised his head and stared into her eyes.
"I don't know if this is the right time to say this but…" Alex started. He still had her hand in his.
"Don't say it then." She cut him off.
"...wait what? You don't even know what I'm about to say."
"If you are doubting whether or not it is the right time, then trust me, it definitely isn't."
"You still don't know what I was going to say."
"Enough reason why I don't want to know. Let's eat." She pulled her hand away from his grip and began forcefully munching on her burger. Even though she lost her appetite earlier, she couldn't let the money go to waste.
Alex stared at her for a couple of minutes before taking a deep breath and began eating his burger.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"You are already asking a question."
"Haha… touché," He smiled and licked his lips. "I mean another one?"
"What's it about?" She asked with a mouth full.
"About your time in that place." He tried not to bring back old demons; he knew he had to choose his words wisely if he wanted to satisfy his curiosity.
"You want to know about Claire?" She swallowed and raised her head to have a straight look at him.
He stayed silent.
Lara had never narrated what actually happened, he had made sure the police kept her interview to the minimum. For this past couple of days, he had been cautious not to trigger any unwelcome memories.
"She is one of Mike's girls." She paused to gauge Alex's reaction; she wanted to see if he got the whole picture.
