Easy Peasy
Easy Peasy
“I was just wondering what a rich guy like yourself would be doing with me.” She held his hand and replied.
“What are you talking about?” Alex was stunned. He heard her crystal clear but it felt so surreal what she just said.
“Your friend, Neon…” she pulled back, turned and began covering the distance between them and the car.
“…. He was so familiar, I knew I had seen him somewhere, I just could not quite put my finger on it, so I googled him,” she paused and looked back at Alex who had not moved and inch.
He said nothing and just remained rooted at the same spot.
“You want to guess whom I found standing right next to him in almost every photo I came across on the internet?”
“I totally understand if you are mad at me, but…” Alex started.
“I’m not mad at you.” She interrupted.
“Really?” he was not sure if she actually meant it.
“Yeah, trust me if I were mad at you, just in the slightest, your body would have been in my garden right now.” She passively threatened.
He shivered; it felt as though he was in a horror movie right now. He just stared at her completely dumbfounded.
“Relax; just know that I’m not happy with you either.”
“Uh...but you just said you aren’t mad at me right?” he called behind her as she opened the car door and hopped in.
Alex got in besides her; he still wore a look of confusion.
“I am a woman. if I say I’m not mad at you but at the same time angry with you, or not happy with you, just take it as it comes and stop trying to understand the sense in what I am saying. Because you can get me pissed off and trust me, you do not want to see me pissed off right now, even though you deserve everything I want to do to you right now.” She said in one goal. She had to take a deep breath after the continuous preaching.
Poor Alex, he probably had a brain freeze, because he hung his mouth open and stared at her in complete shock. His brain could not comprehend anything she just said except the fact that she probably meant he should just shut the fuck up, which he involuntarily did.
"The things you wanna do to me, does it include riding me?" He stupidly teased.
She side-glanced at him and held his stare for a while, the teasing smile that was slowly lighting up his face quickly died down, like they'd poured cold water on him.
He awkwardly cleared his throat and swallowed saliva. 'joke's gone wrong…' his inner self screamed.
“I’m thirsty.” She said, breaking the silence.
“Oh, ok… uhm… Tony,” he called. “Get a bottle of chilled water, would you?”
"Sure sir."
From that moment, Alex knew that if he had to stay sane with this woman, he needed to find all the tips on how to contain a woman.
"Do you know that kissing helps to quench thirst?" Alex leaned close to her and whispered with a sinister smile. He probably hadn't learned a lesson.
"Is it written like that in one of your billionaire book?" Lara replied sarcastically.
Alex bit his tongue. He could not believe she became pety all of a sudden just right after he confessed his feelings to her.
"You are really not happy with me right?"
"Would you be happy with you if you were me?" She retorted.
"I won't, but it isn't just easy walking anywhere and declaring who you are…"
"I thought that's what rich guys mostly do."
"... especially when… wait what?"
"You guys walk somewhere and threaten people with your money and you can get anything you want, like a week off when I couldn't get even an hour." She attacked.
"You… know?" He stammered, he couldn't believe that she'd figure it out.
"Easy peasy." She crossed her one leg over the other and leaned back comfortably in her seat. Only a glass of champagne was lacking to spice her all up as a rich boss lady.
Alex on the other hand, was sitting on needles, he couldn't come to an agreement with the fact that she figured him all out, so soon.
" How did you find out?"
"When I got summoned to my boss's office, I heard him say something about a certain Mr Beau calling and threatening him. It did not make sense at that time because I could barely remember your name, then you said you and Josh were friends." She paused and looked up at him.
He sat attentively like a kid in kindergarten who had been promised the favourite ice-cream if he behaves.
"So… when I was looking for your friend on the internet, and I found you, and everything you do or own that is recorded, I remembered you saying that you and Josh are friends. Apparently, it's like your whole life is online, including your school and classmates."
"It sucks, shit! I can't even hide." Alex lamented.
"That's what happens with rich kids huh?" She mocked.
"Ehn…True." He agreed almost immediately.
"So it was easy to find out that you and Josh were never classmates, and the list goes on." She picked up her phone when it signalled an incoming message.
"The list?"
"Yea, at the cinema? The cops the day before yesterday? It was like you were the one in charge. I just had to connect the dots, there were a lot of loop holes, I just filled them." She said. She did not raise her head to see how dumbfounded Alex looked. She was replying to her mom.
Even though her parents knew nothing about everything that had been happening to her this past month, she still had to let them know that she was going to Limesville for work purposes though.
Alex was still stunned, he couldn't believe he was that dumb, or rather she was this smart.
"Please don't blame me, it's the first time for someone to stick with me without knowing who I really am. Most people are with me because of what they can gain." He tried to explain.
"And what makes you think that I'm different?" She argued.
"Oh! Well… you are different."
"Nobody does nothing without anything to gain."
"What were you gaining from me? All I brought was trouble to you."
"I gained good sex, atleast." She replied chickyly.
"Yeah, that too." He smiled.
"This big guy is ready to please you any time you want." Alex whispered seductively as he guided her hand to his crotch.
They both leaned in for a kiss.
Their action got suspended when they heard a knock on the car glass.
