“Train her or I’ll fire her. She’s too slow for this job. Where did you even get her? Why did you hire me at first?”
He glared at me.
“I apologize Sir. I will train her,” she said.
Belinda accompanied me out of Magnus’s office. We went to the pantry because I was going to brew Magnus ’coffee.
“I’m sorry Sir, it’s just like that when you act slow or don’t understand right away. You’ll also get used to it if you take too long.”
“Don’t!” she said.
“Hmmm?”
“Don’t add sugar.” Aniya.
My forehead furrowed. “Huh? How’s that? Edi’s bitter?”
“Sir doesn’t like sweets. Just add some milk to his coffee.”

“Coffee Sir,” I said.
“Put it here.” He pointed to the desk.
“Is that how you dress at work? It’s so thin to wear.”
I pressed my lips together.
“S-sir?”
“Nothing.”
“Take this box and sort it out.” He pointed to the box on the sofa.
After I fixed it, Belinda taught me other things to do. It also gave Magnus --- Sir Magnus’ schedule to me.
Bwiset, I have to train myself to call him that. Because that’s the right thing to do.
He’s my boss.
“Haven’t you had lunch yet Celiza?” Mason said to me as he passed it in the records room.
“Lunch already?”
“Yes, that’s okay, you can go back to that. Then why are you in the records room? You’re Sir’s secretary ah? That’s not the secretary’s job.”
“Sir’s command e.” I stuttered.
“Later, eat that first. Others also want to meet you, they are already waiting there.”
“Really? All right.” He said I then went out of the records room.
Right after I left, Magnus --- Sir appeared. Magnus to where.
“Are you done with work?”
I gulped.
“Uh… N-not yet sir but it’s just a matter of time ---”
“It’s lunch, sir.” He didn’t pay attention to what Mason said, nor did he even look at it.
“You’re not yet done with your work Ms. Carosca and it’s still early for lunch. Finish it. I need it now.”
I sighed.
“Yes sir,” I said then turned to Mason. “All right, you go first.”
I did nothing, even though I regretted the chance to meet other co -workers.
This is my work. Maybe I’ll meet them later … But my tyan is also getting worse.

“Why Belinda? Does Magnus need anything --- Sir?”
“Did you eat already?”
I shook.
“What time is it ah? Lunch is already over!”
I turned the wall clock around the room. About thirty minutes passed as well.
“I-I’ll finish this first Belinda. Sir needs it.”
“Seriously? What is that?”
It went inside and opened some files.
His forehead furrowed. “These reports were from last year. What is Sir going to do here?”
He glared at me.
“You’re so poor. You’re ready for work right away. What do you want to eat? I’ll just buy it and bring it here.” She suggested.
“N-no, I’m okay Belinda.”
It would be embarrassing if I told him to buy my food. Another is that I also save.
I was in the records room all day on my first day of work. I also couldn’t work because I finished the work for tomorrow and I will only do a little.
I didn’t catch up with Magnus in his office. I’m going straight home after work.
“How’s your work?” Mom opened up to see me.
“Have you eaten?”

I didn’t heat the food because I wasted gas.

“I’m hungry Mom so it’s fine.” He said then continued shaking hands.

“I have food when I come home so why should I ---”
“You didn’t eat lunch? What the hell are you thinking Celiza ?! Don’t save yourself too much!”
“There’s also a lot to do so I can’t have lunch anymore. But I’m alright. Take a rest Mom, I’m sure you’re tired as well.”
She sighed. He just let me go too late.
I was about to get in my bed when my phone rang.
Bwiset, the man is going to lie down!
I lazily reached for the cellphone on the side of the bed.
“Review this report and pitch it tomorrow.”
I grunted.

It seems like I just want to go back to the coffee shop, but at least I don’t take home work unlike this.

“Thank you Mason.” I said help me fix it. It was noon when I finished what Sir Magnus was fixing for me. I also noticed a few times that he came down here to check if I was doing my job. He just needs to keep an eye on me or put a CCTV inside.
“Yes? Do you have an appointment?” I said to the man who went straight to the front door of Magnus’s office.
“When are you free?”

“She’s your secretary. I deserve to know her!”
He looked back at me. “Wait, are you single?”
“Jack gets in the office!” Magnus said.
“I’ll bring two coffees Sir.”
“No. You’re not going inside.” He emphatically promised.
“O-okay Sir.”
“Find the last year’s report about the shipment.”
“I-its already here Sir.” I stammered.
“Rearrange the sto—”
“Done with it Sir.”
He grunted. “Go there and find something to do!”
Why is he so irritated?
