Chapter 30 RECONCILIATION
I Shouted and shouted but he couldn't stop.
"What did you do to your dad?" One officer asked. I ignored him and continue crying.
"Will you Shut up and stop making noice, big boy like you dey cry like a kid. Who knows what evil you committed, children of nowadays." The one behind me said.
"Get up and follow me!" Another one commanded"
"To where?" I asked looking up at him.
"Home, common follow me, you are going to cell as your dad said.
"Are you ok? What did he do?." The inspector asked folding his hands.
"You are here when his dad said we should put him in cell and torture him." He replied.
"Put him in cell and torture him, for doing what? What was his reason? Did he accused him of anything?" Inspector asked.

*But what? He said we should put him I a cell for doing what?

Franca had gone, maybe she ran after my father's car the time he drove off. Other guys have disappeared.
"Randy!." The DPO shouted my name.
I looked and saw him standing at the main door entrance.
"Let's see in my office." He said.
"Ok sir." I replied sitting up to my feat.
I wipe my tears and followed him. We got to his office and sat down.
"I was surprised seeing your dad in that mood. What happened? Is because you arrested his wife or...... Just tell me.. What did you do? "He asked".
I won't have tell you this but I have to. You see, what happened is that. I..I... I had sex with my step-sister. Yes I know its very wrong, I know it even when its about to happen. I couldn't control myself at the moment, I tried as much as possible but I couldn't. "I said".
"You know it's an abomination?, Even though she's not your blood, your dad paid her mom bride price making her his daughter and your sister aswell.

I would like to know what's on your mind. What are you planning to do at this moment?" He asked.
"I don't really know what to do. All I need now is his forgiveness. I don't know what to do now." I said.
"So see what will happen. Ehmm... Find anyplace comfortable place outside and sit, I will go with you." He said.
"OK sir." I replied.
I sat up and took my leave. I came out and saw Vicky sitting outside. She sat up immediately she saw me.
"What did he say?" She asked wipping her tears.
"He said he will help me beg dad."I replied.
"Am getting scared."She said.
"Scared of what?" I asked.
"Scared of going back with my mom, I don't want to go with her. Am sure your dad will never accept her back." She said.
"Don't worry, everything will Gonna be alright. I guess you are hungry?" I asked.
Am not, I don't want to eat. "She said".

We stood inside hanging around, waiting for the Dpo.
After few hours with seems like forever, he came out with two officer.
*Hey! Randy!." He shouted my name.
"Sir!" I quickly responded.
"Come let's go." He said.
I stood up and Vicky followed me. We entered and sat at the back seat with him as the driver drove off.
"I will go in alone first and talk with him. Two of you will stay out side till i alert you to come.
Can I have your mobile number." He asked.
"Am not with my phone here, its inside." I said.
"Am with mine, lemme call my number." Vicky offered.
"It's alright." DPO said.
She called her number and he collected it. We got to the mention and came down, he went inside alone while we stood outside.
After 1hour, Vicky's phone rang and she picked up.
Vicky: Hello sir
DPO: Tell Randy to come inside.
Vicky: ok sir.

Randy, he said you can now come inside. "She said".
Ok thanks. "I replied".
Can I join you? "She asked with a pity face".
Wait here first, lemme settle with him first. "I said".
I went in and saw my dad sitting on the left couch, while DPO is sitting at the right one. They were not talking, he was busy starring at me. My heart was beating like never before. I dropped on my kneels and start crying again.
Am sorry dad. "I said looking down on the floor".
Get up I've forgiven you. "He said, not even smiling".
I will be on my way now. "DPO said sitting up".
They exchange greetings and shake hands.

Standing there, I don't know if I should tell him about Vicky. She's still outside waiting for me.

The DPO left and he went inside his room.
After few minutes, I sneaked out and saw Vicky standing outside alone, under the sun.
I went back and headed to my father's room. I knocked and Opened.
Dad,

"Vicky is still standing outside, should I tell her to come in? I asked.
"Tell her to come and park her things. I will drop her to her mom house myself." He replied.
I walked out, call her and gold her what my dad said. There's no doubt that he has divorced her mom and she couldn't stay with us.

We went inside and I helped her park and arrange her stuffs.

"I will miss you" I said after we were done.
"I will miss you too. Am not much worried cus I will still come back again. Not as your step-sister. But as your...... I don't know....... It can be possible if you really love me as I do." She said hugging me.
