"But if I did something to hurt you, I'd not survive it."

Heart-broken, Huo Mian wept. She pushed Su Yu away forcefully and yelled, "But you can't do it. I can't allow you to be so cowardly and talk about death as if life is nothing to you. You only have one life, one!"
Huo Mian yelled hysterically. Due to her violent emotions, her womb contracted. She bent down with her hands on her belly.
"Mian…"
Worried, Su Yu wanted to go to her but was afraid he'd hurt her.
"Su Yu… We can't be defeated by these evil people. We're the strongest warriors and you're my best friend… We can't lose to those despicable fellows."
Huo Mian pointed at the camera as if she was making an oath or issuing a challenge.
Leila's eyes turned chilly, surprised by Huo Mian's reaction.
She had heard many rumors about Huo Mian but had dismissed them as false.
After all, how much power could such an ordinary woman have?
She had been disdainful of Huo Mian.
Hearing Huo Mian's words, Su Yu was touched; he tried to say something, but the effect of the drug surged up and made it impossible to control himself.

She ran over to help him up despite the discomfort in her belly.

After the forceful impact on his head, he suppressed the effect of the drug a little bit and regained some of his senses.

Su Yu smiled weakly. "I'd rather die than hurt you."

Huo Mian collapsed inside and held Su Yu in tears.
"Su Yu, go to sleep for a while. Leave everything to me. Be a good boy. I'll wake you up later."
Wiping her tears from her face, she pushed a tiny needle coated with anesthetic into his back.
He didn't feel any pain; he just got very sleepy…
He reached out to touch Huo Mian's pure and elegant face.
But before he could touch her, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
