But Su Yu and Mrs. Su felt even worse.
The four of them returned to C City quietly.
Huo Mian returned to South Hill Manor directly to rest.
Their friends waited in Su Yu's house to celebrate his return, oblivious of his foul mood.
Su Yu entered the house expressionlessly and sat on the sofa.
"Mr. Su, welcome back. We waited for you for a long time. Where shall we go tonight for the celebration". Obviously, Tang Chuan threw an arm around Su Yu's shoulder and asked cheerfully.
"You guys go home. I want to be alone," Su Yu said listlessly.
"What's up? Mr. Su, after surviving your ordeal, you'll be blessed with great fortune. This isn't your style… Now that you and my sister-in-law are back safe, and Huo Siqian died in an explosion, we must celebrate. All our troubles are gone. I heard that bitch Zhao Qingya died pathetically, too…"
Tang Chuan got all this information from Gao Ran who had talked to Qin Chu on the phone.
They all thought Su Yu and Huo Mian were slightly wounded in the explosion; Huo Siqian died with the bad guys together in the explosion; and Zhao Qingya and Mr. Y died, too.
Mr. Y was killed by Zhao Qingya with poison at Huo Mian's instigation.
Zhao Qingya changed her mind and tried to sell Huo Mian out but was killed by Huo Siqian.
It was indeed a happy ending for them, but…
Su Yu shook his head and glanced around.
Looking at Tang Chuan, Qin Ning, Wei Liao, Jiang Xiaowei, Shen Mingxi, and Wei Ying, he found it was difficult to open his mouth.
"President Su, did something happen?"
An had been with him for a long time and knew his boss more than anyone else.

"Mian was hurt as she tried to rescue me. I guess you know about the big explosion, right?" Su Yu said slowly.
The others all nodded since they had heard about the explosion from Gao Ran.
Gao Ran was still working in the municipal public security bureau and Zhu Lingling was said to have gone to South Hill Manor with Gao Boyuan to wait for Huo Mian. They were not here.
"In the explosion, Mian… lost her baby."
"What?" Qin Ning's face turned white and her body fell into Tang Chuan's arms.
They were all stunned.
An was stupefied, too…
After all, Huo Mian's baby was almost full term and could live even if it was born before its term.
"Is it a premature birth?" Jiang Xiaowei asked uncertainly.
"It was induced abortion… The baby is… dead," Su Yu said the words with difficulty, feeling stinging pain in his heart with every word he said.
