Bad intruder

Amanda turned back to see the owner of the voice that was trying to sound all cool, but could still be heard that he wasn't really happy, he must have been forced to come out by Goodluck, because even Goodluck knows what she is likely to do next if her brother doesn't surface, she really doesn't know what the problem is, but she was not ready to pry, she was definitely going to ask but if her brother wasn't telling, then she wasn't going to force him to.

"I thought you left the country already"

She said as she rushed to hug her brother while he kissed her crown, she smiled at him, and pulled out the chair for him to sit close to them at the balcony.

He sat, and also pulled her close to sit on his laps the way he had met Goodluck doing when he came in.

"Hey man, how is it going?

Goodluck wished he could ask him what was really going on, but he didn't need to rush it as he was sure they would still have a time or two to themselves.

"Well I thank God"

Maxwell said not meeting his friend's eye, he has a lot of questions to ask him, and also a lot to tell him, but he wasn't planning to do that infront of his sister, he thought of what to say to get his sister to leave them.

Thinking hard about it, he thought of faking hunger, with the way she was looking at him with worry, she would rush to make the food and truely even if he was filled up he could never resist his sister's cooking, she makes every meal a feast, she is so good at cooking that they had earlier thought that she was going to be a chef, but she had gone to school and had become a mass communicator only at her house, because she never got a chance to work after her school, because she got married, and even her husband hadn't allowed her to work, which was not what she had wanted, but then she also became pregnant and that also made her stay back, and away from what ever would disturb her.

She had planned to go back to work immediately the child clocked one, and could go to school, but then again a tragedy stroke, she lost her baby right there at the hospital, she didn't get a chance to come home with him, she was traumatized, because she had to suffer not only the cut from the section she had to undergo in order to bring her baby forth, but also from having no baby to suck on her breast, she had to take drugs of different kinds to help relieve her pain, but that didn't seem to be enough, she was really in pain, and so going to find a job wasn't something she felt she could handle at the moment.

"I am so hungry, I feel like eating some home made food"

He added the home made part to prevent Goodluck from suggesting that they order for food, he wasn't sure if Goodluck understood the message he was trying to pass across. He searched his friend's face hoping he would understand, he has questions for him and yes he understood perfectly because his answer was what he needed.

"Amanda can help us go to the store across the road, and buy all that is needed, you look pale, after the meal we need to know what happened to you".

Amanda stood up immediately so as to get started, her brother really looked pale to her, and the store across Goodluck's apartment wasn't exactly the store she would love to shop, they had things but she wanted to get healthy spices that she could add to her food.

She had spotted a herb store blocks away from the main road, and she had wanted to go check what they had, but she didn't know if Goodluck would allow her, since it was across the road, and she didn't want to have an escort, she wanted to walk but once again she had to ask Goodluck.

"I don't want to go to the store across the house, I want to go to that herb shop I saw across the road, close to that T junction, they must have what I want to use to prepare the food, he needs healthy food you know"

As much as Goodluck would have liked for her to go as far as possible he was worried, he didn't like leaving her alone, especially now that her pregnancy was at it's very pic, the other time she had blacked out, she had also started throwing up something that she told him had stopped after her first trimester, she had also suddenly become picky with her food, and anything that isn't good with her mouth she would throw up immediately, he had become a nanny to her since they got back from the hospital, he wanted to keep her safe, but he needed to tell Maxwell all that he had discovered.

Maxwell also noticed his hesitant, but decided to just watch without saying much.

"Alright then, but Andrew will go with you"

That was what she didn't want to hear, she didn't want to go with anybody, she wanted to take a walk by herself, since she started staying with Goodluck she has lost her freedom in a way, he doesn't allow her do things or go places unless he was there, she just couldn't continue that way anymore, but she still doesn't know how to express it to him without offending him, so she made a face to show him she didn't want that too, Goodluck didn't want to look up at her so that he doesn't loose his guard, with her making such baby face, he would just have to grant her everything, and he really didn't want to.

Sticking to the fact, that he wasn't going to respond or fall for her baby face she decided to say it out loud.

"I want to go alone"

It came out more like a whisper, and then Goodluck looked up at her to say No but her brother gave her the go ahead.

"You are holding her prisoner, she isn't free are you not seeing it?

Amanda quickly grabbed her card and rushed out before they start a heated argument, and then she would have to stay back, she was happy her brother interfered.

Goodluck was angry with Maxwell, but he didn't say a word, the moment he was sure Amanda had left the gate, he called Andrew. When Andrew came in, Maxwell was wondering why his friend had called the guy, but once again his silent question was answered when Goodluck told the waiting man.

"Follow her, without her noticing you"
