What he answered shocked even him, he hated lieing to her but he just did, even comfortably, he was glad that he didn't tell her his real reaso, he also wondered how Amanda was able to see through his facade.

Though his response wasn't entirely a lie, he had always blamed himself for not been able to protect her, but she would always try to cheer him up but today, she wasn't cheering him up, she was crying, he now had to cheer her up, he hated telling her things that would make her cry, that was why he kept Sonia's secret from her, he knew she would find out soon as he plans to tell her, bit he wanted her to have her baby without anything bothering her.

"Please don't cry he said holding her hands, he wanted to reach out to kiss her but they couldn't move close to each other, she still have her seatbelt on.

She pleaded. Goodluck thought she was so naive and if it's t if what she was doing to him, how could she be begging him not to leave her, she definitely didn't know what she was asking, when he was the one afraid if loosing her. He moved close and kissed her crown, his lips stayed there for a long while, he didn't want to let go, he was happy she didn't want to loose him because he was sure he wouldn't survive it if he lost her again, especially to people who could hurt her.

Amanda wanted to laugh at what he said, she had never thought of leaving him, his company was the only cra ing she has, she lived him with her entire Being and she could never allow herself to even think of anything that would come between them. She enjoys the attention he gives to her whenever they were out, he would always fix his eyes on her, he was in perpetual fear if anything hurting her, he tells her he wish he could carry her and not let her walk on her own so she wouldn't call.

Just as he was still encouraging her and trying to stop her from crying, her phone beeped, it was another message, from the same person that had annoyed him earlier, he saw as the name popped up, he looked away immediately and adjusted himself back on his seat to resume their movement to the hospital, he didn't look back at her but consentrated on the road, he wanted to give her chance to read her messages and then talk to him, he eagerly wanted to hear from her, wheat she thought about what Dave was trying to do.

He didn't hear her say anything and he didn't ask her, though he was longing to hear what the new message says but she was just acting like she wasn't the one begging not to be left alone a while ago.

She smiled as she started chatting on her phone. Goodluck could hear messages popping up on her phone, he became all the more angry, she wasn't telling him yet, she was giving him the silent syndrome and it was killing him softly, they finally got to the hospital, he moved away as soon as Amanda was attended to, he called his assistant to know what was new.
