The plot
Dave called Josh immediately he got home.
He still had blood all over his nose and face, and it doesn't seem like it is going to stop anytime soon.
His message was simple and Josh understood him perfectly.
"Please come to the house, I need your help".
He was nursing himself when Josh got to the house.
He looked shocked at him, he almost could not believe his eyes.
"What happened to you?
He asked, as he rushed to get the towel from him and help him do his face.
"That son of a bitch fought me".
He replied, as he wince in pain.
He didn't even know his arm was hitting too, as a matter of fact, all part of his body is hurting.
" I am going to deal with him next time".
Josh hates seeing his friend hurt, but he could not stop himself from laughing at what he said.
"Why didn't you deal with him the moment you got the chance, it is now that he has hurt you that you are planning to hurt him".
Dave didn't want to tell his friend that he didn't get a blow at him, so he lied.
"I was looking at Amanda, I didn't want to fight in her presence, I don't want getting angry with me and I loosing my Chances of getting her back".
Josh got an ointment and uses it on his body, then told him to relax on the couch, before sitting close to him and he asked softly.
"But what happened, I mean what did you do to him?
There is no way he can just start fighting you, if you did nothing to him".
Dave eyes him and adjusted in the couch, then he started laughing.
Though he was in pain, he still smiled.
"I saw him coming, so I kissed Amanda, I wanted him to think we have been kissing since I arrived and that was what annoyed him.
He started fighting me, so I had to act like I didn't want to fight, so I just allowed him exercise his power".
Josh shook his head.
"You are really something, don't you know Amanda would be angry at that?
He asked, and Dave got up to tell him his next plan.
"I have a plan, I want to blackmail her emotionally, I will make sure she feels some sort of pity for me, that she would come to me, and only me".
He laughed hysterically.
"It's not going to be that easy. She if not a baby, and if you think you can just play her like that, then you are joking".
"Josh, you are my friend, you have always been interested in my happiness, so you should support me this time".
Josh nodded his head, in agreement, as he is tired of arguing with him.
"Whatever you say friend, but just know that I won't be doing this all the time, I have my own life too, and very soon, I plan to move to the capital city, there is a business I want to set up there".
Dave is shocked, for he knows that if Josh is far, he would almost be alone, but for the time that he is around, he is going to make good use of the time with him.
"So what is your next move?
He asked, wanting to know everything.
"I want you to call her, and tell her what happened to me, and that I am battling with my life, because of what her boyfriend did to me".
Josh opened his eyes wide, looking shocked at him, he opened his mouth, but could not say anything.
"Are you insane?
He managed to ask, as he got up from the seat close to him.
"I am not insane, you promise to help me, and that is what you are going to do, for me, your friend".
"I don't want to be that involved in your shit, I am sorry, I cannot call her".
"But I can".
They both turned to the door, and saw his mother, Mrs Brown walking in.
She have been told everything, and she too feels bad, even though getting her back is not what she would want to do, but her son have been acting crazy since his sister's death and not having anyone with him.
"You will?
Dave asked, and his mother nodded.
he looked happy, and that was enough for her.
"You are my son, and I want you to be happy, your sister is gone, I don't want to loose you too in anyway, I want to be very involved in your life, please tell me what I need to do to make you happy".
Dave exchanged glances with Josh, who clearly looks angry.
He started thinking of so many things at the same time.
If Josh makes the call, Amanda may think it is planned, but if his mother makes the call, Amanda would want to respect her, and that would be a chance for him.
"Alright mother, you could totally do that, I think it would be really nice".
"So what do I do first".
Josh rolled his eyes, and got up, not wanting to hear what he wants to say to his mother, though he excused himself politely, still Dave knew he really wants him to drop the plan of getting Amanda back, but he is in too deep and close to getting her, that he won't want to give up on his quest.
"Please I need to check on a client".
He left, and Dave got the time and privacy he needed with his mother.
"So what do you want me to tell her?
He asked, whispering it as though someone could be listening to them.
Mrs Brown picked up her phone, and dialed her number.
She was going to do it for her son.
All the while she has been telling herself that Amanda isn't good enough for her son, but since her son have always wanted her, and she seem to want him too, she could at least just support the both of them.
She also wants to apologise to her, and though she wants to see her and speak to her in person, she should call her first.
They both waited for her to take the call, when she finally did, her voice was too calm, but that was because she doesn't know the number.
"Amanda on the line, please who am I onto?
