Wedding in the snow
The next day, Amanda found herself in the bed, instead of the floor.
The memories of the other night came flashing back to her.
She felt so exhausted, that she wish, she won't have to get up so early.
True to his words, he had left the room.
She smiles, while still on the bed.
Then she started hearing voices close to her door.
"If she is still sleeping, you can allow her, the priest can wait".
It was Goodluck's voice, he was telling the makeup artist from Japan.
She got off bed, found her jacket, and opened the door, allowing the girl in.
She thought it was just a girl, but she is shocked that it is the entire beauty staff.
They would bathe her, then dress her up.
She watch them pamper her, by bathing her, shaving her, creaming her, and then finally, making her up.
When Star woke up, she was taken away by her mother, then they started dressing her and making her up, it was as though she was indeed a queen, from some kingdom, that if they don't do all that, they might loose their job.
Maybe she is really a queen, in Goodluck's heart.
She is the queen of his heart.
When they were done, she couldn't recognize herself.
she is already a beautiful girl, but by the time they were done with her,, she looks even more beautiful.
Then her dress came in, and she was supposed to try it on, She didn't go for any fitting because Goodluck said she wouldn't need to, and she didn't need to, he got her the perfect fairy wedding gown.
When she turned to face the mirror again, she could not believe how she transformed.
Joy walked in after she had dressed up, and exclaimed.
It was as if she was going to have a heart attack.
"Amy is this really you?
You look exquisite!
She had her mouth open till she got to where she is standing by the mirror.
"Do you think Goodluck will like this?
She asked her.
"Like, is an understatement, he would love it, I mean, you look ravishing, I am beginning to think we shouldn't give you out to Goodluck".
She joked.
Amanda hugged her, but the perfume from Joy Mesmerized her, that she immediately felt like throwing up, she could not control it, so before she would throw up on her, and mess herself up, she rushed to the rest room, which was not far from her by the way.
The Japan workers were staring at her, while Joy just kept smiling.
"Are you okay ma'am?
one of them asked, but Joy answered.
"She is perfect, but I will get the doctor.
She walked out to get doctor Stone.
He was with his son, but since she didn't want Goodluck to know, she called Maxwell out, to get the doctor to check on Amanda.
"I think she is pregnant".
She tells him, and Stone had to rush to her room.
He just had to touch her abdomen to confirm she was really with child.
"Congratulations my child, I will take it from here".
He asked all the workers out, and then he dressed her up.
He loosen some tight corners of the dress, she still looks perfect.
"Please father, don't tell him yet, I don't want him to worry, he might just cancel this wedding if he feels I am sick".
He smiles.
"You know him too well, and yes, I won't tell him, yet".
Goodluck already suspects something was up, so he waited for them to tell him, but they all kept changing the topic.
When his father came out, he asked him.
"It's nothing to worry about son, she is just having, you know, marriage fright".
He believed his father.
Though he wanted to see her, he was not allowed.
It was snowing outside, just like she wants it.
She look out the window, and could see that there was no decoration what so ever made, she would have the wedding of her dream, under the open sky.
Goodluck was already waiting.
"You should start coming out".
Her father tells her, while walking her out of the room down the stairs, taking all the time to the snow, when Goodluck saw her, his breath stopped for a while.
He kept looking at her till she got to him, they both faced the priest and with their eyes locked on each other, they didn't hear what the priest was saying, all they responded to was.
"With the power vested on me, I now pronounce you, man and wife, you may now kiss the bride".
They kissed, as the snow poured down on them, but while people were still cheering, Amanda felt nauseated again.
Goodluck noticed it and released her.
"Are you okay?
He asked her, but she couldn't answer, she just needed to be away from the crowd for that time.
Luckily the hotel is just few minutes walk.
She managed to dance.
She found her way to where her father in-law is, while pretending to dance, she tells him.
"I feel terrible, I might just throw up all over the place".
"I know, so I got this for you".
He handed her a pill, which she took immediately.
Goodluck saw that and demanded they tell him what was going on.
I think you should tell him, now he is your husband;
Her father in-law says, leaving them alone.
Amanda look around her, and could see only happy faces, she then look at the face of the man that have brought only laughter to her life and says.
"I am pregnant.
This is not a mystery Pregnancy because I know the father, and he is the most amazing man ever".
Goodluck could not believe his ears, he let out a tear, but she wiped it off.
He lifted her up, and spin her around.
only a few understands that she must have told him the good news, while others felt, they are just dancing.
He soon place her down gently, while she held on to him, for she couldn't stand after all that spinning.
He lock lips with her, and it felt like nothing else mattered.
" where would you like to go for our honey moon?
He asked her, and she answered.
"I just want to be in your arms".
He understands that she wouldn't want to travel the world because she is pregnant, but he would still ensure, she enjoys all that she needs to enjoy.
"I will love you till I die".
He tells her, and that was all she needed to hear.
They held each other, enjoying the silence of their heart, watching the snow drop on them, they know all they have is each other, as they still have forever To go, their journey, have just began.
