Maxwell was so angry that he couldn't really be himself, even when he got to his mother, and found his father with her, he still looked angry, but he cared less about his feelings when he saw that his father was crying, he wondered what had happened, and if the doctor had said anything new that had changed the mood of his father,he quickly grabbed the seat close to him, and stroke his back.

His father didn't look up so he knew he wasn't ready to talk about it.

He had watched his Dad act up so strongly these past days, and he had been really happy about it, as he really didn't want to deal with a broken man, but seeing him now in such broken state, he really didn't know what to make of it, he also didn't know how to console him, he was hurting inside, from everything happening, he was a known figure in church and he was sure the news about his sister's mystery pregnancy must raised dust in church, people must be pointing fingers at him right now, and saying all manner of things against him, but his parents had their own secret worries, they were sick of everything happening, and it was gradually taking a toll on them.

"Is something wrong? Maxwell found his voice, not able to take the silence anymore, since he walked in, no one was saying anything, and it felt really cold inside for him, but instead of answering his question, his father asked him, the question he was not willing to answer just yet, though he is happy she was unharmed, but they shouldn't know she had been involved in an accident.

"Where is your sister?

His father finally asked wiping his tears, but that question was one Maxwell wasn't ready to answer in the state he saw his father, he wasn't ready to add to the grieve on ground, so he thought of the best excuse to give to soothe the situation.

"She must be somewhere back at her house, maybe making something for Dave, you know, he is to be discharged today"

Maxwell tried to sound convincing, but little did he know that Dave had also messaged his father and mother about their daughter's accident.

"Don't lie to me son, Dave told me he called you, he said your sister was involved in an accident and she was brought in here"

Maxwell didn't want his father to just spill it out, his mother was awake now, and was listening to them, he tried to give his father sign to make him change the topic, but he didn't seem to understand, so he tried to whisper to him to stop, gesturing with his raised brows that his mother was awake, and didn't need to hear that, but his next statement shocked him.

"He also called your mother to tell her about it, so she is aware, and there is nothing to hide, so can you answer me now and tell me how she is.

Maxwell couldn't believe how low, Dave had sunk, he got it, he was angry at his sister, but so far it wasn't her fault that she was pregnant, if she didn't know how she got pregnant that was because someone had drugged her, and she was drugged at her house, which only means Dave's mother was the one that could do something so wicked since she was the one who hated Amanda so much right from the start and had never agreed to the marriage between the two from the onset, she had even gone as far as calling Dave's ex girlfriend, and also preparing her to move in with Dave after her plan had materialized.

Though they were not done investigating Mrs Brown, but so far she was the one with the motive and intention to hurt Amanda and as family member she had access to the house since she had visited before.

But for Dave to try to kill his mother after he knew her condition, then he was asking for too much, he had initially planned to call Dave to tell him about his plans to take his sister out of the house so she could move back in with their parents since he was too ashamed to habour her, but with what he just learnt he didn't think he would be so polite, as a matter of fact he wanted to send Dave back to the hospital.

"I will be back". He says, and was about to walk out on them, when his father called back.

"Are you not going to atleast answer me? Is she dead or alive? Maxwell didn't like the tone of the question. Why would his father ask such a question, they are supposed to be positive and strong.

He watch his mother, whose tears were just dropping as if it was a stream. Maxwell started boiling. He wish he could just see Dave infront of him, calling him won't be enough, he should totally send him to hell, not tell him about it.

"She is not dead, and she is fine, but I need to do something now". He says.

He walked out of the hospital room to the reception where he saw the same nurse giggling at him.

he was feeling irritated already, and with the way he was boiling with anger, he could speak to her, the way she would not like it. He   wondered if the nurse, was dumbed, if she couldn't read countenance, and know that she didn't stand a chance or he was in no mood for such rubbish, he reached out to his phone to dial his number, at the first ring he picked it up.

Probably he wanted to hear that something bad had happened, because he seems to be holding the phone, and waiting for it to ring, or maybe he was expecting a call from. Another person.

He frowned, before speaking, trying not to curse him over the phone.
