Lonely

Before Amanda could fully settle in, Goodluck called, she wasn't surprised he was calling, his assistant must have told him what going on and he just wanted to know if she was okay.

"Hey! She said trying to sound normal.

"Hey! He replied sensing she was trying to pretend but her voice gave her away so he went straight to asking.

"Are you okay?

"Yes I guess, I am fine, he doesn't want me in his life, you were right, I should have listened to you.

"Don't blame yourself, you did the right thing.

"How is my mum?

"She is fine, my Dad wants to meet you, he won't let me rest, when will you be able to come here?

"I wish I come right away, I don't feel alright staying here"

"Really? How about the next flight to Abuja, it leaves in three hours, is it enough time for you to get ready?

"It's more than enough"

"Then it's settled, I will send you the details, I will be waiting for you at the terminal"

"No problems, see you soon"

Goodluck was really happy, he was glad Dave didn't try to keep Amanda or act nicely to her which would have made her want to stay, he wondered what Dave did to really make Amanda decide to leave, when his friend had called to tell him about her call and how he had helped her pack her things and taken her to her parents house he had been extremely happy, though he wished she chose his place, but he was happy and it was enough for him.

He arranged for her flight and all she would need, he also informed Maxwell who was expecting it to have happened sooner but he was also glad his sister went to his parents house instead.

Maxwell and Goodluck were waiting at the airport, Goodluck had wanted to come alone but Maxwell just wouldn't let him, he wondered when he became such a pest following him around, he wondered if he would ever be able to spend some alone time with Amanda, because obviously as long as Maxwell existed they may never be alone, like ever.

She saw them waving at her to get her attention, her bag was hung behind her like a school student, she was dressed in a blue jean and a really free round neck shirt, it was big enough to cover her pregnancy, she was really growing big and most of her clothes were no longer her size, she needed to shop for new clothes but someone who was mysteriously pregnant couldn't be going for shopping.

Maxwell was looking forward to getting a hug from her because he was sure Amanda wouldn't hug Goodluck in front of him but he was so wrong, she hugged Goodluck before hugging him, he seemed to have forgotten that they had kissed passionately not minding if he was there or not, he watched as the two love birds held hands as they walked towards the car.

"So where are you guys staying?

Amanda was curious to know, she knew it won't be so easy to accommodate them all, so she was thinking they were going to a hotel or something but then again she seemed to have forgotten that Goodluck was living in this state before he angrily left because his father wanted him to marry some girl, what was her name again, Sandra, she didn't want to meet that girl because she didn't know what she looked like or the kind of plans she has in mind. It was enough that she had been fighting all her life, fighting some rich white girl wasn't what she wanted at the moment, though she couldn't blame the girl for falling in love with Good luck, who wouldn't, he was charming and calm, he knows what to say at every point in time, he had broad chest that shows he exercises a lot. Though Amanda haven't seen him completely naked but once she had seen him without a shirt she hadn't been able to close her mouth, and to think she was only a secondary school student then.

"My house is still available, just

because I quarrelled with my Dad didn't mean he disowned me"

"So you mean you have your own house?

Amanda was truely amazed as to how things worked out well for Goodluck, he sure carries Goodluck with him.

"It's not my house, it belongs to my Dad, but he doesn't mind, he really wants to help.

"Amanda dear, don't worry, Mr Stone is the most humble white man I have ever met, you will like him the moment you get to talk with him. And you were the first person he asked after the moment we landed"

This was the second time Amanda was hearing that, she doesn't know why the man wanted to see her, there was nothing interesting about her, she was boring and her life was in a mess at the moment.

"Why does he want to see me, there is nothing interesting about me"

She said still holding Goodluck's hands as they relaxed at the back seat.

"I guess he just wanted to meet the girl who stole my heart"

Now no one expected him to say that but he did anyway and both Maxwell and Amanda looked at him but didn't say anything, Amanda quickly removed her hands from his and blushed, she was all scarlet, she had never felt that way before, she felt shy as her brother stared at the both of them, she was glad that the car was tinted and inside was kinda dark so it wasn't easy to see what she was doing with her shirt.

The ride back to the estate was in silence till they reached no one said anything to each other.

As they approach the Mansion, Amanda looked around, this Mansion was way better than what she had imagined, she wondered why Goodluck left in the first place, he left a place like this to get a humble apartment where he stayed back at Lagos, the flowers were beautiful and from it one could feel the natural air, she wished she could live there for ever, she felt so alive but her fear increased as they move closer to the door leading to the living room.

She was lost in thought on how she was going to act I front of Mr Stone, she hadn't seen the man but from the look of this GS he must be a wealthy man, how would she even stand efore him, she felt too small just thinking about it. She let her fears out.

"I cant do this!

That stopped them as they look at her, Maxwell really didn't understand what she was saying, it had been established that the man was nice and calm so why would Amanda be worries. She wasn't worried for anyother thing except for the fact that she was pregnant for no one in particular.

"Don't worry, I am sure you will be fine, my father isn't a beast, he doesn't bite, I think you are about to meet the most wonderful person on planet Earth"

Goodluck made it sound easy so she followed suit, as the door flung open by a white security standing by the door with a uniform with a name inscription Baker. He bowed to welcome them and out of impulse, Amanda also bowed but she felt she did the right thing. The living room was big enough to contain an entire community, she didn't know that what she was looking at outside could house something so big and wide with the most beautiful decorations ever, the man must love flowers because one could always see one at every corner.

She searched looking for the man as there were more than five white men in the house, she had only heard of the man but she hadn't seen him before. As the got closer to the white men they all stood up at the same time as if they were told to do so.

" Amanda meet Mr Wilson, Daddy's elder brother".

Now this was going to be a family meeting, her fear increased even though they were looking at her smiling, she was still not comfortable.she greeted

Mr Wilson by bowing her head. Goodluck introduced others who were friends and acquaintances until he got to the youngest amongst the men, he had Brown hairs and deep blue eyes, he was so handsome, Amanda couldn't believe she was looking at Mr Stone, she thought he wasn't around since Goodluck haven't said anything yet.

"And this is my lovely Dad, Mr Stone"

Amanda's eyes opened in disbelief, he was young and cute, if he hadn't adopted Goodluck he may not even be able to call him son, he should be about 15years older than Goodluck, they could be friends, what was he thinking adopting Goodluck legally, he could have shown gratitude in a different way, anyways his adoption was giving her mother a new hope.

"Oh my God you look so handsome"

"More handsome than my son?

He teased and Amanda smiled, he sure has a good sense of humour and she couldn't miss it out, he was just her type of friend.

"Well an apple cannot fall too far from the tree. How can he be so cute if unless, you are his father"

Her response made the white men laugh and they all say together at the same time, Mr Stone looked at his son and nodded tapping his back, it was more like telling him he had found the right girl.
