The secret

While Tracy was still angry at the turn of events, she continued to pace round the house, she was so angry she threw things around, and yelled at other times she would scream, she wanted people to see and hear about the wedding, she had to plan, she wouldn't let Dave ruin everything for her.

She sat with her mother, still looking very angry.

"Calm down dear, he cannot spoil our plan, and there is no way he would be allowed to plan anything". Her mother tries to encourage her, bit she was still not buying it.

Did you not see him, he could not even answer the question, whicheans he doesn't have a planner, and there is no way he can get anyone that would be as fast as Mathew". She further stressed, but Tracy was still not convinced.

"Mother, I know this guy, he always knows what to do, don't be surprised, he will get a planner withing few hours, and then he would plan a party that would seem like a burial ceremony for me, I cannot allow that mother". She cries, and her mother exchanged glances with her husband, who didn't want to even look her way.

It wasn't easy for her father to ask Mathew to go, though she had told Mathew that she would call him back, and that he must be the one to plan the wedding.

"Why are you being all calm, you know we don't need such calmness, you should make decisions, that young man need to know who you are". She told her husband, who only looked angrilly at her, before talking.

"Are you saying, I should plan his wedding for him? Did you not hear him, he says he wants to spend his money and run everything his way, we need to let him, I am not going to try and do anything, all I will do is prepare for my cabinet members, but as for planning the party and how it will turn out, then I am sorry I will not do that". He told them, and walked out before they would say another thing, that might annoy him.

Tracy was still angry and pacing around the house.

Just as she was pacing round the house trying to come up with a plan she got a call, it was an unknown number, but her true caller revealed the caller, she knew only one person by that name, she hoped it wasn't him, she had payed him off, and they didn't have any more businesses together, she wanted to live her life clean and safe from every evil she must have done in the past, but with the caller, she knew she just couldn't stay away from her shadow, she really didn't want to be reminded of her ugly past so she decided to ignore the caller.

She had guys calling her, what was he thinking, calling her personal line, but then again she thought, what if it was another Steven, someone she doesn't really know or have any business with, she really should take the call to find out, as she say the usual first word after someone answers a call, she felt her heart pop out of her mouth when he replied.

"Hello Miss Bride to be"

His voice could not be mistaken, he was the same person she had thought of, he was her past, they had done things together in the past and she wanted to leave him in the past, what made him call again, and even his Location says Lagos, what was he also doing back here in the state, what if he was seen and recognized, it would destroy everything for her, just when she was close to having everything she had ever wanted.

She moved away from her mother, to a far distance, where she would take the call freely. Not like she couldn't take calls infront of her mother, there are other things, she doesn't want her to know.

"What took you so long, I have been calling you!

His voice was just a reminder that there was problem, but she was sure she had the solution to the problem, if it was money she would pay him off again and again, but if he was going to be a constant threat then maybe she would have to double cross him, she would have to end him, she wouldn't let anyone or anything come between her and her happiness.

"What do you want Steven? She asked angrilly, hating the interruption.

He laughed hysterically, he knew exactly what she was thinking, of course he had been following her since their last business together, he only decided to come out now that her plans was close so close to reality.

"Calm down sweet heart, don't be in such a hurry, can't I call to wish you a happy married life in advance, after all, you made it so loud that my ears hurt where I was and I needed to come down"

Now she regretted everything, she wished she hadn't made it so loud, if she had followed the way Dave wanted everything she probably wouldn't have awaken the sleeping beast.

"Well thank you, but I thought I made it clear that you cannot call my line"

"Hey hey, you really think you would get married without inviting me?

Now she was really irritated at how comfortable he was talking with her, she could take him out anytime she wanted without involving her family, she wouldn't allow him ruin her life, he wouldn't put a strain on her just because she had associated with him in the past.

"And how can you tell your business associates to never call you, is that even possible?

"What do you want?

Now he laughed so hard, he had gotten her exactly where he wanted her, he was in charge.

He wouldn't stop laughing, he had it all planned out.

When he saw that he was the only one laughing and it was begining to feel stupid, he stopped and said.
