I really don't care, she shouted at the top of her voice, she was so happy, she had been drilling for a long time, she really liked him and she was sure he liked her too, she rushed to the mirror to take a look at herself, to see how she appeared infront of her crush, and she was angry at her look, she didn't even brush her hair. well she didn't know he was the one at the door, she tried brushing her hair and applying a wet lips bam on her lips she prayed he would come back and her hopes increased when she heard another gentle knock on the door, she was almost sure it is him, because her brother would never knock in a gentle way, her brother was too harsh, too strick and too mean. No wonder he had no girlfriend. She thought to herself.
'Who would like aean guy like her brother, he was too serious about life, and would not give any chance to anyone.
Good luck wasn't sure about what he just did. He was really scared, because, now that he had showed her just a little of how he feels, it would not be long again, she would want more of it, and might start acting strange, whenever they are together.
He hit his head, he wanted to erase the memory from his head but he remembered how beautiful she looked with her messy hair and he smiled to himself, he wished he could run his fingers in the hair, but if only wishes were horses. He had made the first move now he has to stay away for a while to see if the feeling would go away, he was a Playboy, he wasn't capable of love, no one would even love him, what was he even thinking, trying to hit on his best friends sister, only sister at that. Who would want a Playboy for a brother in-law?
"But I will not play with her". He said to himself, but that is his word, against millions of persons that already know him.
"What about his numerous girlfriends, that he uses, to put food on his table on daily basis? They would be so furious, they would feel he used them, and now he wants to dump them for a younger girl.
"I cannot play with Amanda, she is so innocent, and the way she makes me feel, I don't think I have ever felt this way before". He was speaking aloud to himself, but then, the confusion set in again.
"Who would believe I genuinely feel something strong for the girl?
He continued asking rhetorically until he got back to the field and notice Maxwell was gone, he tried calling him but he wasn't taking his call, he became worried, he wanted to be sure he hadn't suspected anything, so he continued calling.
He was so scared, that he started to hit himself really hard. " I should not have gone there". He told himself, and as if that was not enough, he could no longer concentrate anymore, he somehow, wish he could run back to the house, to make sure he had not put the little Amanda into trouble.
Back at the house,
Amanda opened the door and was disappointed to see her annoying brother staring fiercely at her.
If looks could kill, she would have murdered her brother, she hated all the effort she put in, thinking it must be Goodluck, only to be greeted by her handsome, but angry looking brother.
She was about to walk back dejectedly, when she heard his yet another annoying question.
"What took you so long, I have been standing for quite sometime and I am so hungry". He said, as if she should kill herself, because, he is hungry.
"Go and make yourself something to eat". She told him and walked away.
He spotted the box and rushed at it but Amanda wasn't ready to have another person eat the love fruit given to her.
What if there was love portion in it. She didn't want to have a gay as a brother and would definitely not loose Good luck to her brother, so she rushed at it and caught it before him.
She was happy she got to the fruit first, but her brother would not give up like that, he started dragging it with her, so she cried.
"I am hungry, I came back late from exam and I need to eat, they sell it down the road you can go get yourself one". She complained, and continued dragging, but her brother was not going to give up.
Maxwell didn't pay much attention to her, and grabbed the apple and started eating it while Amanda ran to her room to ensure he didn't take another fruit.
She could not do anything about it, though she wished it was not the apple he took, he should have taken the orange or something.
Apple is used to show love, she should be the one to eat that.
She couldn't read anymore, she started imagining eating the fruit with him and laughing happily, she even imagined him kissing her and when she snapped out of her thought, she felt shy, it was her first kiss though not real, she was happy.
She touched her lips, and licked it, how can an imagined kiss, feel so real, and so sweet.
She quickly finished the fruits and drop the box close to her bed side, she could not allow her brother come begging.
she was going to keep the box forever because it was a gift bonded with love.
She heard her brother knock again, and rolled her eyes, she just hated him for sharing in her love fruit.
But here comes the hard part, even if Goodluck would not love her back, being his side babe, is enough for her, but what will her brother think, if he ever finds out.
It could only be imagined, because if it happens, that her brother finds out, they would both be dead.
"Amanda common, don't be a stingy girl, you know I can buy you more boxes of fruit, but just because you got this one for yourself, you are being stingy with it". She didn't pay any attention to him, and she didn't open the door, she looked away, trying to concentrate on her book.
"Go away, I am reading". She said, but clinged to her box again, hugging and kissing it.
