Chapter 42 BETRAYAL
When Zordan was about to get in the car he heard a sound behind him.
"Banggggggg."
Someone shoot him from the back. The bullet touched his shoulder from the back. He put his hand to his shoulder and saw blood was coming like hell. His hand wet into his blood. He saw behind, the king was in his balcony with the gun and laughing cruelly on his face.
"What do you think Zordan? I will let you go this easy? You don't know me yet."
The king started to shoot his gun again toward Zordan and He immediately went inside his car. As his car was bulletproof so that save him. He started driving as fast as possible but his shoulder was paining that he can't even drive properly. Blood making his car wet. His eyes were closing but he was trying hard to drive. But after some time he got unconscious in his car.
The next day morning Dorthy woke up. She was feeling well by then. She saw her mom was sleeping on the couch in her hospital room. At first, she couldn't remember anything at all. How did she come to the hospital! Who saved her! Is it Zordan! Then where is Zordan? Why he is not here?
"Mom....."
"Yeh my child.. When you woke up? Thank god nothing happen to you."
"Mom who saved us?"
"Zordan.... He saved us and bring you to the hospital."
"then where he is now?"
"I don't know he left as soon as he came to know that you were all right. He was behaving madly when you were unconscious. I must say you are lucky."
"Mom, I have to go.."
"What are you saying, Dorthy? Where you want to go?"
"Mom, I think he will kill them. He will kill them for sure. I have to stop him."
"What? Why he will kill them?"
"Mom, he did that before. Whoever tried to harm me he killed them all."
"But Dorthy you need rest. And I promised him that I will take care of you."
Dorthy got rid of the catheter from her hand and started running towards the door.
"Dorthy... you can't go out. Are you mad?"
"Mom I have to go. Please let me go."
Dorthy's mom hold her and made her sat in the bed.
"Mom why you are not listening to me? "
"Dorthy, I am your mom. Why don't you are listening to me?"
"Okay mom, then give me the phone. I need to call."
"Okay."
Dorthy's mom gave her the phone and Dorthy started dialing Zordan's number.
"the number you are calling is currently switched off. Please try again later."
Dorthy started to panic.
"Zordan pick up the phone. Where are you now! Why your phone is off?"
"Mom, I am telling you something happen with my Zordan. I can feel it."
"Don't worry dear. Nothing happen. You are just panicking."
"No mom, Let me call steev."
Dorthy started dialing Steev number. It rang few times and then Steev pick up the phone.
"Hello.... Steev, Where is Zordan?"
"Mrs. Deilan, Calm down."
"No tell me first. Where he is? Did he kill those men? Did anything happen?"
"Ummmm........Sir......."
"What? Tell me Steev. Tell me right now." Dorthy shouted.
"Sir is in the hospital now."
"What? What happened to him steev?"
"He got a shoot last night from the king. We found him near the hospital..."
Dorthy cut off the call and ran, this time her mother couldn't stop her.
"Dorthy, where are you going."
Dorthy was crying and running in the hospital and after her, Dorthy's mother was also running. Finally, Dorthy found Steev in front of the operation theatre.
"Steev, where is my Zordan?"
"Sir is in the operation theatre."
Dorthy sat down on the floor and started crying, her mother was consoling her but nothing can even stop her. After a while the doctor came out. Dorthy ran to the Doctor...
"Doctor, How is he?"
"He is in critical condition now. The bullet just touched his heart. Though it was not much but it's very complicated. We will observe him 72 hours then we can say something."
"Doctor, Please do something. Save him at any cost."
"Please calm down, we are doing our best."
"Can I go inside?"
"Yes. You can."
Dorthy went inside the room. She saw so many wires were attached to his chest. And a monitor was keeping track of his heart rate. A drop of tear roll down from Dorthy's eyes.
"Zordan.... See I am here. Please wake up my love. If something happen to you I will not able to forgive myself. Please wake up. It's all my fault. Because of me you always suffer. Zordan maybe you will be happy alone without me. If I leave your life maybe you will live happy and long. I am really sorry my love."
Dorthy hold his hand and a drop of tear fall on Zordan's face. She kissed on Zordan's forehead and went outside.
"Are you okay my child? How he is now?"
"Yeh, I am okay."
Time was passing like hell to Dorthy. She wanted to wait till 72hours. After that, she will leave Zordan forever. She was watching Zordan through the glass of the door. It's already passed 72 hours. And the doctor came to check Zordan.
"Doctor, how is he now? Is he okay?"
"Don't worry. Now his condition is getting better. But his sense will come in few days."
"Thank you, doctor, Thank you so much for saving him."
