Annoyance
CHAPTER THIRTY
"What did you say?" she asked confusedly.
"Do you have a monthly period now? Red days?" he asked seriously.
"I don't have, okay," she replied with a mix of irritation.
He just nodded, and says, "It seems like you're getting angry with me more often. I'm wondering if you're pregnant."
She almost put the water she drank back in the glass because of what he said, so she immediately said, "I am not pregnant. You know that."
She just heard Anton's laugh, so she was annoyed.
"Just kidding. Anyway, let's go back to the topic. Eat already because otherwise I would have invited you to eat at the restaurant, if you want."
She thought for a moment whether to go or not. This is her chance to secure Anton. In addition, they will have bonding together.
But she still hesitates because she feels that she cannot understand whether she is angry or sullen. Maybe she's just jealous?
"Hello, my wife? Are you still there?" he asked on the other line.
"Yeah. Just wait. I'll go to change." She immediately went up to the bedroom to change.
"I'll wait for you outside, okay?"
Her phone was stuck between her ear and shoulder while she was looking for clothes to wear.
She seemed restless. She's in a hurry too much.
"Outside your office?" she asked, busy looking for perfect outfits.
"No. Outside our house," he answered.
She suddenly stopped and frowned upon hearing it.
"Are you here?" she asked in confusion.
"Yes. I just arrived to pick you up."
She focused her gaze again on finding the dress until she saw the orange dress. It reminds her of everything.
In an instant, a smile appeared on her lips without her noticing.
She didn't realize that she was smiling while looking at the dress closely, while remembering the past.
It took a few seconds before she realized that Anton was calling her from the phone call.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
She had put on the dress but was having trouble closing the zipper in the back.
"Can you come here? Just need your help to zip my dress."
"Okay. I will unzip your dress," he joked.
"Zip not unzip it," she clarified.
Je just laughed and ended the call, then went straight to their room and saw her having a problem with her dress.
She just can't zip it.
"Let me do it," he said then closed the zipper.
"My arm is a little loose," she complained with a little laugh.
"Do you want a quick massage? Just 10 minutes."
Frowning, "I know that. Not for now. Let's just go. I'm hungry," she said and led the way. Anton followed.
They got into the car. He drove until they reached La Vida private restaurant.
"Are you hungry now?" he asked while they were waiting to serve their orders.
"Yes. My stomach is boiling with hunger."
"Just wait for it. It's quick."
While they were waiting, Ariella felt like urinating, so she said goodbye.
"Hi. May I ask where is your rest room?" she asked a staff member.
The staff pointed the way and said, "Just go straight then turn left, ma'am."
"Okay, thanks."
She followed the directions until she reached the restroom. After that, she retouched first.
While putting a lipstick on her lips, a woman suddenly came. They are only a few distances apart.
They are both busy with looking themselves in the mirror. They did not notice each other.
After a few more moments, when Ariella glimpsed to the woman for a moment , she immediately recognized her. Her eyes widened in surprise.
It occurred to her that Anton might also have taken her to this place.
She couldn't take her eyes off her until the woman turned her gaze to hers.
There were a few signs of shock in her reaction but it immediately disappeared and was replaced by smiling at her. Ariella couldn't even smile back.
"Do you still remember me?" she asked.
At first, Ariella didn't realize that she asked because her mind seemed to be floating in the air.
"Excuse me?"
"I mean, do you still remember me?" she asked again.
She looked at her seriously. "Of course, Cindy."
"I'm happy to see you here. But why are you here? Alone?"
"This is a restaurant, isn't it? And I am not alone. I am with MY…HUSBAND."
If she looks at and talks to Cindy, it's like she's secretly mad at her but she doesn't show it.
Cindy looked back at the mirror. Busy retouching herself. Ariella is the same. The lipstick is moving back and forth on her lips as she keeps a simple glance at Cindy.
"As I remember, I don't think I met you personally during Anton's grandmother's birthday," she said while curling her lashes.
She hid her annoyance but she couldn't understand why she was feeling it.
"Is that so?"
Finally, she finished putting lipstick on her lips. It even thickened a little because she overdid it. She didn't realize it because she was constantly looking at Cindy.
When she noticed that her lipstick was thick, she gently wiped it with a tissue until it turned light red. Then, put a lipstick again but for good.
"It looks like you left right away. Mama Victoria was looking for Anton that night," she added.
She was more annoyed but secretly when she heard 'Mama Victoria'.
Shw said in her mind, "How could she call her mama?"
She's really pissed off but trying to calm herself. Just relax.
"I didn't know. We need some rest because that's why we went home. It doesn't make sense for him to stay there if he doesn't have me with him," she bragged not so obviously.
"I see. It is obvious that he really treasures you. You know, I am happy for both of you."
She looked at her. "Happy?" frowning, "Not obvious."
She just laughed a little without knowing that Ariella was already annoyed with her. Because she doesn't know.
"This is late, but congratulations."
She just smirked.
"Well, I have to go. It was nice to meet you again."
Her gaze followed Cidny until she left.
She looked at herself again in the mirror, then took a deep breath.
Inhale
Exhale.
Just relax.
A few minutes passed before he came out of the rest room.
She saw Anton staring at her. The food they ordered is ready. Apart from that, she also noticed that Anton hadn't eaten yet.
