Delilah's POV

But along with time, my thick wall, my sisters started getting married when I was twelve, Mia got married at the age of eighteen, when I was fourteen, Ruby got married at the age of eighteen just like Mia, and when I turned sixteen, Sana got married at the age of eighteen just like my other sisters.

From seven to sixteen years!! I also had my wall, and now I knew that I would be the target of my dad and my stepmom so that they could dispatch me too after two years.

And I also knew that now, I couldn’t hide my truth for long.

“How are you going to manage from tomorrow?” Nova, my fourteen years old sister, asked.

“You will have to take Sana’s place from tomorrow onwards, i.e., waking up early in the morning around five and working all the household chores till ten or eleven at night.”, Zoey, my twelve years old sister, muttered in tension.

“It’s time to change the rules, Nova and Zoey.”, I said with determination. “Mom, Mia, Ruby, and Sana were innocent cows, but I’m a bull with horns. And I won’t mind hitting anyone's ass with my horn if anyone dares to hit me.”

“I will tell mom that you were saying that you’re a bull with horns.”, We heard a boyish voice and turned around to find him, Adrian, my nine years old step-brother and the messenger of my stepmother.

“Not to forget, even he is going to be a pain in the ass along with our other mother and father.”, Zoey told me. “They have spoiled him so much that sometimes he even slaps Nova and me.”, She added.

“Don’t worry, Zoey. I will bring him on track. I won’t let him be the replica of our father.”

“What will you do?” Nova asked.

“Right now, I’m going to Mr. Hayes’s place. I will deal with my family tomorrow morning.”

“Your training is almost complete from my end, Delilah.”, Mr. Hayes said when I defeated all his students again. “I have taught you everything that I knew. Now, you have to learn things on your own.”

“On my own?” I repeated his words in confusion.

“Dismiss.”, Mr. Hayes said to his other students, and they left, bowing their heads in front of their coach.

“Yes, on your own. There are a couple of things that our teacher teaches us a couple of things that our books teach us and but the most important lesson of life is taught by life. Now, you will have to explore and learn new things and new discoveries on your own. Until now, your world was around this well, but it’s high time that you will have to jump out of this well and look around to realize where you stand in front of all the hunters in the world.”

I nodded my head though I had no plan yet for what I would do next. When I was a kid, I learned all this for one reason, and that was because I wanted to hit the boys.

But this aim changed along with time.

Now I wanted equal treatment between boys and girls. It should be the girl’s decision whether they want to handle the house or go out for work. It should be their decision to either to marry at eighteen or not to get married at all.

And to bring that change in my clan. I would have to start that from my home.

“I was thinking of telling or say show the real me after all these years.”, I shared my plan with him.

“I had guessed that coming after Sana’s marriage.”, he said, sitting on the bed. “Now, you can leave.”

“Not before asking one more question that why did you train me? I mean, I had heard that you never trained your own daughter and why me? And never told about it to dad; why is that so?”

“I trained you for my redemption. Yes, you heard that right that I didn’t train my daughter even though she wanted to. That’s why she couldn’t protect herself when her monster husband raped her every time. In the end, she couldn’t handle the torture and ended her life, and in her suicide note, she blamed me for everything that happened to her.”, He said in his broken voice and pulled out the old folded paper which he had placed below his pillow. I walked toward him and sat on the bed beside him.

“I was living my life in hell until I found my hope of life when my eyes landed on you. Except for my daughter, you were the first girl who was interested in learning how to fight.”, He said with a smile. “At first, I thought you would soon quit, but you didn’t. I always used to have the same feeling of someone watching on me whenever I used to train, and somehow, I knew that you would come near me, considering your age because I generally train kids, if your urge to learn, everything won’t stop.”

“But you were too hard on me.”, I reminded him.

“Heated gold becomes ornaments, beaten copper becomes wires, and compressed rocks become diamonds.”

“I was not complaining, by the way.”, I told him, on which he caressed my hair.

“You should leave now. You have to reach home before you get caught.”, He said with a smile on his face. I nodded and reached near the window. The same window where I couldn’t reach from the tree to here; I stood on the window and jumped on the tree casually and then jumped from there on the ground without any pain or an ankle sprain.

I ran home to sleep and waited till the drama of my house actually began.
